Jockey advised that his instructions were to be in the first three but the gelding did not show early pace and had to be ridden along to hold a position. He added that the horse then only battled to the line and was disappointing. Trainer stated that he expected that the horse would be hard to beat but was very disappointed with the geldings effort and could offer no reason for its moderate performance. |
