THE QUEENSLAND RACING CARNIVAL IS WHERE CHAMPIONS EMERGE.

Last year, it was Apache Chase and Alligator Blood that shone brightest, and this year the tradition continues.

Staged over 10 action-packed weeks, more than $25 million in prize money will go on the line, including eight Group 1s – seven of which surpassing $1 million.

The ladies take centre stage on Oaks Day, with the $700,000 Group 1 feature proving a breeding ground for future champions, including Winx, Duais, and Winning Ways.

In 2022, it was a homegrown victory as Gypsy Goddess produced a punishing finish from the back of the pack to storm over the top and claim a maiden Group 1 triumph.
