The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 395m

RUBY DEE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start URBAN ENFORCER was checked when racing between STOLE MY HEART and MAXIMUS AURELIUS, both of which shifted.  Racing into the catching pen STOLE MY HEART, URBAN ENFORCER, MAXIMUS AURELIUS and SEMI FANTASY were checked to varying degrees when racing between BONTEMPELLI and SERENE STAR, both of which shifted.  Racing through the top turn SEMI FANTASY improved onto the heels of STOLE MY HEART causing both greyhounds to become severely unbalanced and lose ground. URBAN ENFORCER who was following was severely inconvenienced and lost ground.

 

The greyhound URBAN ENFORCER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SEMI FANTASY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 395m

BETTER YET and FAMOUS FOR FUN were slow to begin.  Racing through the catching pen BALL ALLEY ANNIE shifted in checking the running of both HE WILL REIGN and PURELY PENNY.  BETTER YET who was followingw as severely inconvenienced.  Racing through the top turn both HE WILL REIGN and FAMOUS FOR FUN shifted out and raced wide.  Racing towards the home straight BETTER YET shifted in marring the running of PURELY PENNY causing this greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. M McCardle that the greyhound BETTER YET would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

 

Race 3 – Novice 395m

TRICKY GEM was slow to begin.  Racing through the 1st turn there was general tightening to all runners with the exception of TRICKY GEM.  Racing down the back straight CREDIT LIMIT shifted out and raced wide.  Racing in the home straight on the final occasion IT’S MY TIME shifted and turned its head towards EVIE’S ANGEL marring this greyhound.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. M McCardle that the greyhound IT’S MY TIME would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

 

Race 4 – Novice 395m

TRAV’S MAGIC and KING SCHULTZ were best to begin.  Racing through the 1st turn BUSTED FLAT and MISTER SISTER were checked when racing between FAIR DAISY and URBAN STREET, both of which shifted.  Racing through the catching pen FAIR DAISY shifted out and bumped heavily with MISTER SISTER.

 

Race 5 – Maiden Final 395m

STIRLING BLUE, CAMEROON and ALL FORCE were slow to begin.  Racing through the catching pen CAMEROON shifted in checking the running of CHANGALANG, LOCO FORAY and CLASSY CHURCHIE.  Shortly after CLASSY CHURCHIE shifted in severely checking the running of STIRLING BLUE causing this greyhound to become severely unbalanced and lose ground.  Racing through the top turn CLASSY CHURCHIE shifted out off the heels of CHANGALANG.  Racing in the home straight on the final occasion CAMEROON when improving behind SHE TALKS appeared to stumble and lose ground.

 

The greyhound STIRLING BLUE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 395m

ROSEALEA was best to begin.  YOUR DEAL was slow to begin.  Racing through the catching pen CLASSY TOM shifted in tightening the running of JUST ITCHIN’, RAFFA ROSE and MISS CHARM.  Racing through the top turn YOUR DEAL shifted in checking the running of WAZZ’S FANTASY.  Shortly after WAZZ’S FANTASY shifted in tightening the running of ROSEALEA who was racing to his inside.  Racing towards the home straight on the final occasion RAFFA ROSE shifted out and bumped heavily with ROSEALEA.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Final 395m

REGATTA was best to begin.  MIGHTY ROCKET was slow to begin.  Racing through the catching pen ELLIE’S VOLUNTAS shifted in tightening the running of CHAMPS, WESTERN ROSE and MIGHTY ROCKET causing all greyhounds to become severely unbalanced and lose ground.  Shortly after REGATTA shifted in severely checking the running of STARLINE RED, who shifted out abruptly and checked MIGHTY ROCKET.  Racing through the top turn MIGHTY ROCKET shifted out off the heels of CHAMPS.

 

Race 8 – Best 8 395m

Even start.  Shortly after the start WINNING HEARTS shifted in tightening the running of KULU ROO and TRENTY’S ROSE.  Racing through the catching pen WINNING HEARTS shifted in severely checking the running of RODGER ROSE HI and TRENTY’S ROSE causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose ground.  Racing towards the end of the back straight KULU DEE JAY shifted in checking KIEWA GEM. Racing in the home straight KIEWA GEM and WINNING HEARTS raced tight and bumped.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m

BELOW PAR was slow to begin.  Racing through the 1st turn there was general tightening to all runners with the exception of THREADS and BELOW PAR.  Racing through the catching pen TRIPLE CROWN GAL shifted in checking the running of MAGICAL GIRL.  Racing down the back straight OPAL SUE shifted out and bumped heavily with LISTEN NOW. Racing in the home straight on the final occasion BELOW PAR appeared to sustain an injury and shifted out and checked the running of MAGICAL GIRL.  Shortly after BELOW PAR after sustaining the injury took no further competitive part in the event.

 

The greyhound BELOW PAR was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and humanely euthanised.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

BAIDEN ROSE HI and STUART’S CHOICE were best to begin.  NOTORIOUS LADY was slow to begin.  Racing through the catching pen STUART’S CHOICE shifted in severely checking the running of CARESSAR.  Racing down the back straight TYPHOON COULTER shifted in checking the running of BAIDEN ROSE HI.  Racing through the top turn TYPHOON COULTER, CARESSAR and NOTORIOUS LADY all raced wide.
