The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhound SAMMY DO THAT performed a satisfactory whelping trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.52 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

The greyhound MISS JACKPOT performed a satisfactory stewards trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.50 and is cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

The greyhound POP THE CORK performed a satisfactory ‘Return to Racing” Trial 2 over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.47.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 331m

HI HONEY HO and SPY MISS were slow to begin.  Racing down the back straight CYCLONE MARLOW was severely checked when racing between DIANNE’S PEARL and LADY STARGAZER both of which shifted. Racing towards the end of the back straight LADY STARGAZER improved onto the heels of FANCY SCHMANCY causing both greyhounds to become severely unbalanced, fall and take no further competitive part in the event.  Shortly after CYCLONE MARLOW and HI HONEY HO shifted out and raced wide through the top turn.  Racing in the home straight on the final occasion DIANNE’S PEARL and CYCLONE MARLOW raced tight and bumped.

 

The greyhound LADY STARGAZER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound FANCY SCHMANCY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 331m

SPRING STEEL was extremely slow to begin.  Racing down the back straight LET IT RUB shifted in checking the running of FARMOR EL DORADO.  Racing through the top turn SPRING TO MIND and JULIE ROSE shifted out and raced extremely wide.  Shortly after SPRING STEEL shifted out and bumped heavily with SPRING TO MIND causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose ground.  Racing in the home straight on the final occasion FAST AS shifted out off the heels of LET IT RUN.

 

The greyhound SPRING STEEL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 331m

SPRITELY LIL and KIP KEINO were slow to begin.  Racing down the back straight MIDNIGHT HUNTER and ELROXINO were checked when racing between MURBAH MEL and MALI COVEK both of which shifted. Racing through the top turn KIP KEINO shifted out and raced wide.  Racing in the home straight on the final occasion MALI COVEK shifted out off the heels of KIP KEINO.

 

Race 4 – Maiden Final 331m

COUNTRY ELITE, HARA’S SAMUEL and BERNIE CHEE were all slow to begin.  Racing down the back straight BERNIE CHEE shifted in tightening the running of HARA’S SAMUEL.  Racing towards the end of the back straight LADY DYNAMO shifted in severely checking the running of HARA’S SAMUEL.

 

The greyhound HARA’S SAMUEL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – Novice 331m

COUNTRY ROCKET was slow to begin.  Racing down the back straight SUPER LUIGI and BY SASSIN was severely checked when racing between TARA MARRIE and OBIN TOMMY, both of which shifted. Racing towards the end of the back straight NEAT ALRIGHT shifted out severely checking the running of HARA’S SOPHIE and COUNTRY ROCKET who were racing to its outside causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose ground.  Shortly after SUPER LUIGI and BY SASSIN raced tight and bumped.

 

The greyhound COUNTRY ROCKET was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 520m

KINGSBRAE NELLY were best to begin.  SPRING QUARTET, HARLEY ARE, SHE CAN DO and JESS NIRO were slow to begin.  Racing through the catching pen HANNAH MARRIE and JESS NIRO raced tight and bumped.

 

The greyhound HARA’S ANNIE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 395m

CYNDIE’S SPECIAL was slow to begin..  Racing towards the 1st turn HOLLYWOOD HEARTS shifted in checking the running of both RODGER ROSE HI and WAZZ’S FANTASY.  Shortly after GLORIA TRICK shifted out checking the running of both TARMAC BLACK and SMASH EM UP.  Racing through the top turn SMASH EM UP shifted out and ran wide.

 

The greyhound RODGE ROSE HI was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the stomach muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 8 – 4/5th Grade 395m

ZAFONIC BOOM was slow to begin.  Racing through the catching pen WAZZA KING improved onto the heels of BIG WINSTON causing this greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground. Racing down the back straight BIG WINSTON shifted out tightening the running of both BILL’S MAGIC and CITY BREEZE. Racing towards the home straight on the final occasion ZAFONIC BOOM and ELLIE’S VOLUNTAS raced tight and bumped.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m

MAGICAL GIRL and ESPRESSO SHOT were slow to begin.  Racing through the catching pen CLASSY BLONDE shifted in checking the running of MAGICAL GIRL.  Shortly after ZAFONIC’S LADY shifted in checking the running of ESPRESSO SHOT.

 

The greyhound ESPRESSO SHOT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

DANCIN ANNABEL and JULIE’S PARTY were slow to begin.  Racing through the 1st turn MODERN MISS shifted in checking all runners to varying degrees.  Racing in the home straight on the final occasion JULIE’S PARTY shifted out marring ULTIMATE STAR causing both greyhounds to become severely unbalanced and lose ground.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. I Hoggan that the greyhound JULIE’S PARTY would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.
