GENERAL

 

The greyhound DONE DIRT CHEAP failed a stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 395m

HER STORY was best to begin with FLYING CESSNA slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight SISTA TASHA and SMART DUDE collided causing SISTA TASHA to check FAMOUS FOR FUN forcing that greyhound wide.  Entering the top turn FLYING CESSNA checked off the heels of HOT TAMIKA TRAIN.  In the home straight HE WILL REIGN was wide.  FLYING CESSNA was wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound FLYING CESSNA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 395m

SLAYER RETURN was best to begin with LATESHOW MATISSE slowly away.  Entering the back straight HAWTHORN BUDDY and MID WESTERN GIRL collided.  In the back straight LATESHOW MATISSE was wide.  In the home straight WANDACETTE was wide.

 

Race 3 – Maiden 395m

DIANNE’S PEARL was best to begin with SEXY SUMO slowly away.  Entering the back straight KIP KEINO and LADY STARGAZER collided causing LADY STARGAZER to check SEXY SUMO.  On the top turn MIDNIGHT HUNTER and KIP KEINO collided.  In the home straight KIP KEINO was wide.

 

The greyhound KIP KEINO was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off foe leg and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 4 – Maiden Final 395m

NINJA LLOYDIE was best to begin with YES GERONOMO slowly away.  Soon after the start BONTEMPELLI checked off the heels of NINJA LLOYDIE.  Entering the back straight ALL FORCE, BONTEMPELLI and YES GERONOMO collided forcing YES GERONOMO wide in the back straight.  On the top turn DAZE FLYBY and SHE TALKS collided.  In the home straight BONTEMPELLI was wide.

 

The greyhound DAZE FLYBY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 5 – Novice 395m

STANDOUT and TRACKIE CHAN were best to begin with BERNIE CHEE and WALK FREE slowly away.  Entering the back straight WALK FREE checked off the heels of GREAT TRIUMPH.  In the back straight DAYSEAS COSMO was wide. Entering the top turn STANDOUT and TRACKIE CHAN collided causing TRACKIE CHAN to drop back sharply and take no further competitive part in the event.  In the home straight SNOWBEALL MARG was wide.

 

The greyhound TRACKIE CHAN was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 6 – Novice 395m

Even start with EL MUFASA slowly away.  Soon after the start HASHTAG WINNING checked off the heels of MAGIC IT UP.  Entering the back straight EL MUFASA and CLASSY CHURCHIE collided causing EL MUFASA to check DAYSEAS SPEEDY.  In the back straight FAIR DAISY was wide.  Entering the top turn HASHTAG WINNING checked off the heels of MAGIC IT UP.  On the top turn FAIR DAISY and EL MUFASA collided.  Entering the home straight EL MUFASA was wide causing DAYSEAS SPEEDY to race out turning its head failing to make contact.

 

The greyhound MR. MARAUDER was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

The greyhound DAYSEAS SPEEDY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. C Dacey that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 395m

EVEN start with GRAND ATTITUDE slowly away.  Soon after the start STUART’S CHOICE ,HEZA KEEPER, JEBRYNAH ALLEY and FAITHFUL MUSTANG were involved in a general scrimmage. Entering the back straight CLASSY TOM and MINNIE JAYDA collide.  In the back straight JEBRYNAH ALLEY was wide. In the home straight HEZA KEEPER was wide.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 395m

BILL’S MAGIC was best to begin with MR. CODY and TEJAY’S GRAND slowly away. Entering the turn into the back straight CHAMPS and TARMAC BLACK collided causing TARMAC BLACK to check TEJAY’S GRAND.  On the top turn TARMAC BLACK checked off the heels of RAFFA ROSE causing RAFFA ROSE to falter and take no further competitive part in the event.

 

The greyhound RAFFA ROSE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m

OPAL SADIE was best to begin with CAPTAIN LONESTAR slowly away.  Entering the back straight KATHIE’S FLASH and LADY DAMA collided.  In the back straight MODERN MISS was wide.  In the home straight NICHOLSON was wide.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

REGATTA was best to begin with BEAU JILLEM slowly away.  On the turn into the back straight PUB STAR was wide. In the home straight NOTORIOUS LADY was wide.

 

The greyhound BEAU JILLEM was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
