GENERAL

 

The greyhound ELEAZAR performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 600m in a time of 35.14 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks except Wentworth Park.

 

The greyhound MR. BRAND performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 600m in a time of 35.63 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

The greyhound BOLD AS BRASH performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.03 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 520m

GALWAY THUNDER and MASTER CODY were slow to begin.  BEAR FOR BREKKY was marginally slow to begin.  BOGIE ROCK checked off the heels of EXPRESS LEVEL and lost ground in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  EXPRESS LEVEL checked off the heels of SMART CHIC on the turn out of the front straight.  BOGIE ROCK shifted out and checked across the heels of ALL FORCE prior to turning into the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  EXPRESS LEVEL and MASTER CODY bumped entering the back straight.  SMART CHIC checked across the heels of MASTER CODY entering the front straight on the final occasion.  BOGIE ROCK raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Final 520m

SIMPATICO was slow to begin.  KAHUNA WEST was marginally slow to begin.  SHIFTY MCNOWSHOW checked off the heels of KIRI BELLE prior to turning out of the front straight.  KIRI BELLE shifted in prior to turning into the back straight resulting in MILES OF SMILES being severely checked and falling resulting in interference to LEIGH’S MIMSEAL and SIMPATICO.  SIMPATICO marred the running of MY GOLLY MOLLY.  SHIFTY MCNOSHOW marred the running of MY GOLLY MOLLY.

 

The greyhound MY GOLLY MOLLY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound MILES OF SMILES was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side hock and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Stewards questioned the racing manners of SHIFTY MSNOSHOW entering the front straight on the last occasion.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. G Keep that the greyhound SHIFTY MCNOSHOW would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

Stewards questioned the racing manners of SIMPATICO on the turn into the front straight.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. G Smith that they greyhound SIMPATICO would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

Race 3 – Novice 520m

SHOOT TRU BLUE and PACIFIC CHAMP were slow to begin.  CHEEKY CHANCE checked off the heels of MEG’S MAGIC on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in CHEEKY CHANCE bumped PACIFIC CHAMP.  MEG’S MAGIC checked off the heels of MACMARCUS on the turn into the back straight. PACIFIC CHAMP raced wide on the turn into the front straight.  PACIFIC CHAMP raced wide into the down the home straight.

 

Race 4 – 0 – 3 Wins 600m

ZIPPING KENDARA was slow to begin.  SANRICO WENDY checked off the heels of SMILING FRIEDA on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion, resulting in interference to BED OF NAILS.  MAGICAL DUST was tightened for racing room between MINNIE IMPACT and STRING QUARTET entering the front straight on the 1st occasion.  SMILING FRIEDA checked off the heels of ZIPPING KENDRA on the turn into the back straight.  MAGICAL DUST and MINNIE IMPACT bumped prior to the finishing line.

 

The greyhound SMILING FRIEDA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 520m

TREBLIG BRAD raced wide down the front straight on the 1st occasion.  TREBLIG BRAD was slow to begin.  TAIPAN’S TIME was tightened for racing room and lost ground between HER’S NOT HIS and DEREK ZOOLANDER shortly after the start.  GIGGLING TOMMY checked off the heels of BAY OF SPRITE on the turn out of the front straight.  GIGGLING TOMMY and HER’S NOT HIS bumped heavily forcing HER’S NOT HIS out onto MR. CODY.  GIGGLING TOMMY and TAIPAN’S TIME bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in GIGGLING TOMMY shifting out bumping FYRE GAL onto HER’S NOT HIS, onto TREBLIG BRAD.  HER’S NOT HIS checked off the heels of MR. CODY entering the back straight.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 520m

TOBIAS RUMBLE was slow to begin.  BRALYN AMY and ROCKAWAY BEACH were marginally slow to begin.  WINDSOR checked off the heels of ROCKAWAY BEACH and lost ground shortly after the start.  ROCKAWAY BEACH checked across the heels of GEARS OF WAR on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion, resulting in some interference to AGRO’S GUN.  WINDSOR checked across the heels of MAGIC KITCHEN on the turn into the back straight.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 520m

CARDIAC KING was tightened for racing room between JACKSON’S DAY and BOGART BLEND shortly after the start.  SECRET STASH checked off the heels of CODY’S GRAND and lost considerable ground on the turn out of front straight resulting in SHE’S A NIRO checking off the heels of SECRET STASH.  SECRET STASH shifted out causing some inconvenience to JACKSONS’ DAY out onto BOGART BLEND.  BOGART BLEND checked off the heels of SECRET STASH prior to turning out of the back straight.

 

The greyhound SECRET STASH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 520m

DOUBLE STORM was slow to begin.  PEARLS ANGEL and FARMOR EYE AM bumped heavily shortly after the start, resulting in PEARLS ANGEL losing ground.  FASHION GURU checked off the heels of ANNIE BENZ on the turn out of the front straight.  ANNIE BENZ shifted out on the turn out of the front straight bumping DOUBLE STORM and forcing that greyhound to race wide.  PEARLS ANGEL checked across the heels of DOUBLE STORM entering the back straight. FASHION GURU checked off the heels of ANNIE BENZ on the turn out of the back straight.  GET INVOLVED and YADA YADA YADA bumped on the turn into the front straight on the final occasion.

 

The greyhound FARMOR EYE AM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound FASHION GURU was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – 4/5th Grade 600m

GLASS and FARMER’S GOLD were slow to begin.  COSMIC WATERS and MAJESTIC SEINE bumped on the turn into the front straight, resulting in COSMIC WATERS bumping OKAY YETTA, causing COSMIC WATERS to become unbalanced and shift in bumping heavily with FARMER’S GOLD, resulting in FARMER’S GOLD falling.  COSMIC WATERS and OKAY YETTA lost considerable ground as a result of this incident.  MAL ROSE HI raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound OKAY YETTA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound FARMER’S GOLD was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 4/5th Grade 520m

JANDINELLE and WHATA NICE SIZE were slow to begin.  WHATA NICE SIZE shifted in approaching the winning post for the 1st occasion tightening JANDINELLE onto CHARIOT’S OFFIAH onto HIGH RADAR.  WHATA NICE SIZE continued to shift in resulting in interference to RUPERT on the turn out of the front straight.  RUPERT checked across the heels of JANDINELLE on the turn into the back straight.
