GENERAL

 

The greyhound DREAM TIME BABY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.75 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 520m

GALWAY THUNDER jumped awkwardly and was slow to begin.  SUNNYSIDE JAY checked across the heels of MASTER CODY and lost ground shortly after the start.  GO BLACK BIDDY was tightened for racing room on the turn out of the front straight between MASTER CODY and BY GOLLY MOLLY.  SUNNYSIDE JAY raced wide on the turn in the back straight.  TRANSMEDIA and SUNNYSIDE JAY bumped prior to the finishing line.

 

Race 2 – Novice 520m

TOUCH OF CAJUN was marginally slow to begin.  ZULU PRINCESS was tightened for racing room and lost ground between TOUCH OF CAJUN and ELL’S ALL CLASS shortly after the start.  VIRUNGA checked off the heels of ZULU PRINCESS on the turn out of the front straight.  WILDASH DUKE checked off the heels of LOVES A ROSE on the turn into the back straight, resulting in interference to ELL’S ALL CLASS and TOUCH OF CAJUN.  WILDASH DUKE checked of the heels of ELL’S ALL CLASS on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to TOUCH OF CAJUN.

 

The greyhound ZULU PRINCESS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind foot and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 3 – Novice 520m

MACMARCUS was marginally slow to begin.  SARAJEVO GIRL checked across the heels of SILKY OAK shortly after the start, resulting in interference to LA LUCCIOLA, who in turn caused interference to MACMARCUS onto CHEEKY CHANCE.  MACMARCUS checked off the heels of SARAJEVO GIRL on the turn out of the front straight resulting in interference to LA LUCCIOLA.  Also CHEEKY CHANCE was inconvenienced.  LA LUCCIOLA raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound LA LUCCIOLA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore webbing and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 4 – 0 – 3 Wins 600m

The start of this race was delayed 1 minute due to an interstate harness race.

 

RIZZINI shifted out on the turn into the front straight bumping IN THE PICTURE onto MISS HUSSY and causing interference to BOGIE ROCK.  BOGIE ROCK shifted out on the turn out of the front straight bumping IN THE PICTURE onto MISS HUSSY.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade Heat 1 520m

SO SWANKY and MR. CODY bumped on the turn out of the front straight.  JANDINELLE checked across the heels of BIG WINSTON on the turn into the front straight causing some inconvenience to MR. CODY.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 2 520m

INDIANA RUMBLE was slow to begin.  SANDGROUNDER checked off the heels of OPAL SADIE as the start was effected resulting in SANDGROUNDER losing ground.  OPAL SADIE checked off the heels of OUR CHALLENGE entering the back straight resulting in interference to SANDGROUNDER.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 600m

COLD HARD TRUTH was slow to begin.  COLD HARD TRUTH checked off the heels of TAYTO on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion, resulting in interference to OXLEY RUBEY.  COLD HARD TRUTH checked across the heels of OXLEY RUBEY on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in MAJESTIC SEINE being forced wide.  TAYTO and OXLEY RUBEY bumped on several occasions on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced. TAYTO checked off the heels of OXLEY RUBEY on the turn into the back straight.

 

The greyhound COLD HARD TRUTH was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off fore webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Heat 3 520m

TRIGGER was slow to begin.  OPAL SUE checked off the heels of MORE FOR YOU on the turn out of the front straight resulting in HER’S NOT HIS checking and falling causing interference to CARDIAC KING, who in turn caused interference to HARA’S DERECK, who also fell as a result.

 

The greyhound OPAL SUE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound HARA’S DERECK was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound HER’S NOT HIS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 4 520m

HIGHLIFE was slow to begin.  General tightening occurred in the front straight shortly after the start resulting in VELOCITY SHIRL and PASSIVE PROTEST losing ground, resulting in PASSIVE PROTEST contacting the running rail.  KIEWA GEM, GEARS OF WAR and CODY’S GRAND bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in interference to CALIFORNIAN DUDE.  HOOTABELLE checked across the heels of GEARS OF WAR on the turn into the back straight.  VELOCITY SHIRL raced onto the heels of CODY’S GRAND on the turn out of the back straight resulting in CODY’S GRAND losing ground.  KIEWA GEM and PASSIVE PROTEST bumped entering the home straight, resulting in PASSIVE PROTEST becoming unbalanced and some inconvenience to VELOCITY SHIRL.

 

The greyhound CODY’S GRAND was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

DORRIE MAC and ARGO were marginally slow to begin.  General tightening occurred on the turn into the back straight resulting in the majority of the field being checked and losing ground with the exception of TEJAY’S GRAND and ARGO.  DORRIE MAC checked across the heels of ROXY ROCKET on the turn into the front straight.  ARGO was tightened for racing room and became unbalanced on the turn into the front straight between MY DIEGO and MARNIE TEE.

 

 

The greyhound PUB STAR was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
