Race 7 ZABALETA Injured in running, off side pin, 7 days
The greyhound GUNLOCH performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.02.
The greyhound CAPTAIN CES performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.52.
The start of this race was delayed 2 minutes due to an overseas event.
AMAZON MAN, TAKE A MONKEY and LATE SHOW CORBA were all slow to begin. Approaching the top turn GORILLA EYES checked when LAY THIS shifted in.
The greyhound TAKE A MONKEY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
The start of this race was delayed 2 minutes due to delay in Race 1.
SPY MISS and IVAN ELROY were both slow to begin. BLIPPLE checked off the heels of MORAL shortly after the start. Out of the back straight MORAL checked off the heels of BLIPPLE. In the home straight BLIPPLE raced wide.
Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 331m
PERUZZI and VITAL MISSION were both best to begin. Shortly after the start ELITE SOX was tightened for room between JULIE ROSE and TO THE LOCAL, resulting in ELITE SOX losing considerable ground. In the back straight PRISON FLETCH checked off the heels of ELITE SOX. Out of the back straight ELITE SOX checked of the heels of JULIE ROSE. Entering the home straight TO THE LOCAL shifted out bumping CAN’T GET ON causing this greyhound to become unbalanced, resulting in ARABIAN MELODY being somewhat inconvenienced. VITAL MISSION and ARABIAN MELODY raced wide throughout the home straight.
Race 4 – Maiden Final 331m
FANCY SCHMANCY was best to begin. SMASHNIAK FIVE was slow to begin. Turning out of the back straight OLYMPUS was tightened for racing room and lost ground, resulting in interference to TWO AND SIXPENCE and SMASHNIAK FIVE. Shortly after SMASHNIAK FIVE lost ground sharply appeared injured and pulling up falling to finish the race.
The
greyhound SMASHNIAK FIVE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
Race 5 – Novice 331m
IVORY KING and SHAKIRA BELLA were both very slow to begin. In the back straight WON MY HEART was tightened for racing room and lost ground. In the back straight MR. MARAUDER checked off the heels of MARLEY MAGIC. Out of the back straight WON MY HEART checked off the heels of MR. MARAUDER. Entering the front straight MARLEY MAGIC and BOSANOVA bumped.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade 395m
WINGED ELITE and BLIMZILLA were both slow to begin. Shortly after the start MISS JACKPOT, SPIKE BENZ and MILLIE’S COMET all bumped. Entering the back straight when COUNTRY BULLET crossed from a wide position to the fence, resulting in interference to KINGSBRAE LAVINA, who in turn caused interference to MILLIE’S COMET, resulting in MISS JACKPOT and BLIMZILLA also being inconvenienced. Entering the home straight KINGSBRAE LAVINA and NO PRISONERS bumped. MISS JACKPOT and MILLIE’S COMET raced wide throughout the home straight.
The
greyhound NO PRISONERS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 395m
The start of this race was delayed 2 minutes due to an interstate harness event.
BIG DAC was slow to begin. Shortly after the start WAZZ’S FANTASY checked off the heels of HOLLYWOOD HEARTS. Entering the back straight PETITE FOX checked off the heels of ZABALETA. Shortly after this HOLLYWOOD HEARTS checked off the heels of ZABALETA causing further interference to PETITE FOX who caused interference to BILL’S MAGIC. Entering the top turn ZABALETA was tightened between BIG DAC and CHAMPS, resulting in CHAMPS racing onto the hindquarters of ZABALETA, causing this greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground. Prior to entering the front straight BILL’S MAGIC and ZABALETA bumped resulting in ZABALETA losing ground again. CHAMPS and PETITE FOX raced wide throughout the home straight.
The
greyhound ZABALETA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off
side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
Race 8 – Best 8 395m
LATE TROTS ANGEL was slow to begin. Shortly after the start TIK’S MAN checked off the heels of KULU ROO. Entering the back straight SUMMER’S BUG checked off the heels of KULU ROO, causing SUMMER’S BUG to lose considerable ground. Entering the front straight KULU ROO and CYNDIE’S SPECIAL bumped for a short distance.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start. Shortly after the start NEAT ALRIGHT was tightened between SHE SAID NO and TRAV’S MAGIC, resulting in NEAT ALRIGHT falling. Turning into the back straight NOTORIOUS LADY checked off the heels of IVAN’S MATE, causing interference to COUNTRY JANE. Entering the back straight SHE SAID NO checked off the heels of CHICKS BUZZARD. NOTORIOUS LADY raced wide into and throughout the home straight. CHICKS BUZZARD raced wide throughout the home straight.
The greyhound NEAT ALRIGHT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m
BOGART BLEND was best to begin. BLUE DEN was slow to begin. Shortly after the start ESPRESSSO SHOT checked off the heels of ELITE DESSA. Entering the back straight ESPRESSO SHOT checked off the heels of ELTIE DESSA. In the back straight COUNTRY SONG checked off the heels of BLUE DEN. Entering the front straight FENRIR checked across the heels of COUNTRY SONG, causing interference to ESPRESSO SHOT. ESPRESSO SHOT raced wide throughout the home straight.
