The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhound SIMPATICO performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 29.64 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks except Brisbane until after 10 May 2015.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 520m

KAHUNA WEST and MASTER CODY were slow to begin.  Entering the turn out of the front straight OCTOVER SPRING checked off the heels of QUEEN LOCH BRAE resulting in further interference to TRANSMEDIA, who almost fell causing interference to NIL ALL DRAW, OUR GOLD and CRACKING CAZA.  TRANSMEDIA, NIL ALL DRAW and OUR GOLD all raced wide throughout the home straight.

 

The greyhound TRANSMEDIA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound KAHUNA WEST was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Novice 520m

The start of this race was delayed 2 minutes due to an interstate harness event.

 

GALWAY GALE and CHEEKY CHANCE were best to begin.  Shortly after the start MAIN STORY was checked by CHEEKY CHANCE.  Shortly after the start SARAJEVO GIRL was tightened between SMASHNIAK GOLD and CHEVALEIR NUIT.  In the front straight on the 1st occasion GALWAY GALE was checked by CHEVALEIR NUIT.  CHEVALEIR NUIT shifted in on the turn turning out of the front straight bumping SMASHNIAK GOLD onto GALWAY GALE, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground.  Entering the back straight CHEVALEIR NUIT checked off the heels of SARAJEVO GIRL.

 

Race 3 – Novice 520m

OUR ELITE and TOBIAS RUMBLE were both slow to begin.  In the straight on the 1st occasion OUR ELITE checked off the heels of TOBIAS RUMBLE, causing interference to MEG’S MAGIC.  Shortly after VIRUNGA checked off the heels of TOBIAS RUMBLE causing further interference to MEG’S MAGIC.  Entering the turn out of the front straight HONEY BAZAAR checked of the heels of ALLEZ DE BRAVE.  Turning into the back straight TOBIAS RUMBLE and ALLEZ DE BRAVE bumped resulting in OUR ELITE checking off the heels of LOVES A ROSE.  Turning out of the back straight LOVES A ROSE checked off the heels of MEG’S MAGIC.

 

Race 4 – 0 – 3 Wins 600m

TRIGGER was slow to begin.  Entering the home straight on the 1st occasion STARGATE SYSTEM shifted out checking MINNIE IMPACT resulting in interference to BOGIE ROCK, who further caused interference to TAIPAN’S TIME.  TAIPAN’S TIME raced wide throughout the home straight.

 

The greyhound BOGIE ROCK was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind foot and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 520m

RADLEY RETURN, WALLY WHO CALLS and FULL OF ATTITUDE were all best to begin.  Turning into the back straight WALLY WHO CALLS bumped heavily with RADLEY RETURN, causing that greyhound to become very unbalanced causing further interference to RENOUF’S MAGIC.  Prior to turning out of the front straight FASHION GURU checked off the heels of BROOKVALE GLORY and became unbalanced.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 520m

Even start.  Entering the turn out of the front straight RAZEN TOAST checked off the heels of HANNAH MARRIE.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Final 520m

SANDAVE DRIVE was slow to begin.  Entering the turn out of the front straight BAY OF SPRITE shifted out bumping VEUVE, causing interference to REGINALD BENZ and CALIFORNIAN DUDE, which both lost ground, also resulting in interference to TEXAS TEE.  In the back straight VEUVE checked off the heels of BLESSED RUMBLE.  Turning out of the back straight GEARS OF WAR checked off the heels of SANDAVE DRIVE, resulting in BLESSED RUMBLE losing ground, causing interference to CALIFORNIAN DUDE.  Prior to the finishing line REGINALD BENZ checked off the heels of VEUVE.

 

Race 8 – 2/3rd Grade 520m

OUTA TEMPO began awkwardly.  I’M I SAID was slow to begin.  Entering the turn out of the front straight BIRKDALE BEAUTY checked off the heels of CLASSY HAZE, causing this greyhound to lose considerable ground, resulting in BULL TITAN and I’M I SAID also incurring interference.  Entering the home straight BULL TITAN and OUTA TEMPO bumped.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m

Even start.  Prior to turning out of the front straight on the 1st occasion MORE FOR YOU bumped heavily with SANDGROUNDER, resulting in interference to MR. CODY and VELOCITY SHIRL.  Entering the turn out of the front straight MORE FOR YOU checked off the heels of ULTIMATE STAR.  In the back straight SHIVERANCE checked off the heels of SANDGROUNDER and lost considerable ground.  Entering the turn out of the back straight OPAL SADIE checked off the heels of VELOCITY SHIRL causing interference to SANDGROUNDER.

 

The greyhound SHIVERANCE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m

Even start.  Entering the turn out of the front straight TWICE AS NICE checked off the heels of HOOTABELLE.  Shortly after HOOTABELLE was then tightened between BOO BOO CHILD and JEEPSTER, resulting in HOOTABELLE losing considerable ground.  Entering the turn into the back straight OPAL SUE checked off the heels of JEEPSTER, then BOO BOO CHILD also checked off JEEPSTER as it crossed to the fence.

 

The greyhound HOOTABELLE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind metatarsal and was stood down for a period of 2 months.
