Race 10 MISS MERANDA Injured in running, off hind back muscle, 6 weeks
The greyhound GRIM CREEPER performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.51.
The greyhound PEBBLE BAY performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.61.
The greyhound UNDERMINER performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.64.
Even start. Entering the back straight TWO BEERS and NAPALM collided. Entering the top turn SHINOLA checked off the heels of SPRING CALIBER causing SHINOLA to drop back causing TWO BEERS to check off its heels causing TWO BEERS to fall. In the home straight NAPALM was wide.
The greyhound TWO BEERS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Even start with FLYING RAVEN slowly away. Entering the back straight YES GERONOMO checked off the heels of GUNNADOO RAIDER. In the back straight SIDE STEP GARY was wide. Entering the home straight GUNNADOO RAIDER and YES GERONOMO collided.
Race 3 – Maiden 395m
Even start with VALKYRIE ELLA, BELLA BEE and GALWAY REAL DEAL slowly away. On the turn into the back straight BELLA BEE checked off the heels of GALWAY REAL DEAL. In the back straight CATWALK SHOW LEE was wide. On the turn into the home straight WESTERN HONEY checked off the heels of SURFING PRINCE. In the home straight WESTERN HONEY and GALWAY REAL DEAL were wide.
The greyhound BELLA BEE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 4 – Novice 395m
SHE TALKS and RIDES ON SCOOTER were best to begin with HER FAULT slowly away. In the back straight JIMARY LADY was wide. Entering the home straight IMA COUNTRY BOY turned its head inwards and made muzzle contact with TARA MARRIE.
The greyhound IMA COUNTRY BOY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Hay that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.
Race 5 – Novice 395m
HER STORY was best to begin with ONE OVER CRUSH slowly away. Entering the turn into the back straight UNLUCKY MAX and BAZZA’S ISSUE collided causing BAZZA’S ISSUE to check ADAM’S ANGEL. In the back straight ADAM’S ANGEL was wide. On the top turn UNLUCKY MAX and BAZZA’S ISSUE were racing tight and bumping. In the home straight ADAM’S ANGEL was wide.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade 395m
Even start. Entering the back straight HIGH CLASS MISS checked off the heels of MERMAID LANE. In the back straight LOAD ME UP was wide. Entering the home straight HIGH CLASS MISS and LOAD ME UP collided.
Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 395m
Even start with GRAND ATTITUDE slowly away. Entering the back straight SPIDER BEAR checked off the heels of CLASSY TOM. Entering the home straight GRAND ATTITUDE and CANDY CRUSH collided.
Race 8 – Best 8 395m
UPPER CLASS LAD was best to begin with the remainder evenly away. Soon after the start MADE THAT WAY and TRENTY’S ROSE collided. Entering the back straight JUSDT ITCHIN’ checked off the heels of LATE TROTS ANGEL causing JUST ITCHIN’ to drop back sharply. On the top turn GEMMA DUAL was wide. In the home straight GEMMA DUAL was wide.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m
DAYSEAS FREDDIE was best to begin with DOLLAR GIRL and UNO EYE DON’T slowly away. Entering the turn into the back straight CREDIT LIMIT and SLAYER RETURN collided causing CREDIT LIMIT to drop to the rear. In the back straight DOLLAR GIRL was wide. On the top turn and the home straight UNO EYE DON’T was wide.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start. Entering the back straight CAHMPS, MISS MERANDA and BIG WINSTON collided causing MISS MERANDA to drop out taking no further competitive part in the event. Entering the home straight MALLOURY QUEEN and BIG WINSTON collided. In the home straight CHAMPS and SPY QUEEN collided.
The
greyhound MISS MERANDA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks.
