The greyhound JASMINE HOLLY performed a successful Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 395m in a time of 24.15.
The greyhound REV SOME MORE performed a successful Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.49.
The greyhound BIG YELLOW TAXI performed a successful Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.10.
The greyhound SHOOP SHOOP SONG performed a successful Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.37.
SPRING QUAYS and HELLY JOAN were slow to begin. Racing down the back straight PROWLER PROOF shifted out off the heels of TWO AND SIXPENCE. Shortly after, HELLO JOAN shifted in checking SPRING QUAYS. Approaching the 1st turn HELLO JOAN shifted out off the heels of CASEY UNDERCOVER and hampered PROWLER PROOF. HELLO JOAN continued to shift out through the turn and as a result forced SPRING QUAYS to race wide.
FOXIE UNDERCOVER was best to begin and SMART CHIC was slowly away. Approaching the 1st turn SMART CHIC shifted out off the heels of BRINDLE GUN colliding with BIG RED DEVIL and forcing this greyhound wide through the turn. Continuing through the turn PEPPA COLLECTOR was checked as TIA MARIA improved to its inside. SMART CHIC which was following was inconvenienced. Shortly after, BIG RED DEVIL shifted in colliding with PEPPA COLLECTOR which lost ground. Entering the home straight BRINDLE GUN shifted out, turned its head and marred the running of MASELLO OSTI. Down the home straight BRINDLE GUN shifted in colliding with BIG RED DEVIL.
Stewards advised trainer’s representative Mr. M. Pearce that the greyhound BRINDLE GUN would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 331m all tracks.
Race 3 – Novice 331m
DAYSEAS COSMO, NASRI and SIR TIGER OSTI was best to begin. Down the back straight WALK FREE shifted out tightening NINJA LLOYDIE, SPLIT IT and DAZE FLYBY with all greyhounds becoming unbalanced and WALK FREE losing ground. Entering the 1st turn DAZE FLYBY, NINJA LLOYDIE and SPLIT IT raced tight and unbalanced.
Race 4 – Novice 395m
INTOLERANT and THAT’S INSANE were best to begin with PRINCESS TOUCH slow. Through the 1st turn RYLEE’S RING IN, ONE WON’T HURT, ACE CHARMER, THAT’S INSANE, PROTO PENNY and ELL’S ALL CLASS all raced tight and unbalanced. Entering the back straight ACE CHARMER shifted out off the heels of THAT’S INSANE and lost ground. Through the top turn ELL’S ALL CLASS shifted in hampering ONE WON’T HURT. Entering the home straight INTOLERANT and PRINCESS TOUCH raced tight.
Race 5 – 5th
Grade 520m
ULTIMATE BOMBER was slow to begin. Shortly after the start GOT A BROTHER shifted in hampering SHAYLA ROSE. OUT WEST and SHAYLA ROSE shifted wide entering the 1st turn. MIGHTY OAK and ULTIMATE BOMBER raced tight and bumped through the 1st turn. Entering the back straight SHAYLA ROSE shifted in checking ULTIMATE BOMBER which lost ground. OUT WEST and LARA SAINT raced tight approaching the winning post.
The greyhound ULTIMATE BOMBER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised the trainer Mr. S. Boole that the greyhound’s performance was bordering on unsatisfactory. Stewards noted that this was the greyhound’s first competitive start over the distance of 520m.
Race 6 – 4/5th
Grade 520m
GANGNAM STRIDE and INTENSIVE STORM were slow to begin. Shortly after the start SMOOTH STYLE shifted in tightening INTENSIVE STORM and GANGNAM STRIDE. Passing the winning post on the 1st occasion COSMIC CATCH was tightened between ARGO’S GUN and FYRE GAL. Entering the 1st turn COSMIC CATCH shifted out hampering INTENSIVE STORM. Leaving the top turn SMOOTH STYLE, WILDASH WARRIOR and FYRE GAL raced tight and became unbalanced with SMOOTH STYLE losing ground. COSMIC CATCH and INTENSIVE STORM which were following were inconvenienced.
The greyhound SMOOTH STYLE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 395m
DOUBLE STORM was slow to begin. Entering the back straight YALINGA shifted out forcing RUPERT onto the running of DIAMOND OSPREY and DOUBLE STORM. YALINGA was wide entering the top turn. Racing through the top turn LOTUS BLOSSOM improved onto the heels of MAGIC GALO and fell. YALINGA which was following was inconvenienced. Leaving the top turn DIAMOND OSPREY and RUPERT came together. Shortly after, DIAMOND OSPREY shifted out checking BEAU JILLEM, which was forced out onto the running of SPANKY’S LEGEND and YALINGA with all greyhounds becoming unbalanced.
The greyhound LOTUS BLOSSOM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 8 – 5th Grade 395m
BOGART BLEND was best to begin. Shortly after the start FUSILLADE shifted in checking KNOCKER. At the same time FASHION ADVICE and KING ODESSA came together. Entering the back straight PREMIER PLAYER and BOGART BLEND came together with PREMIER PLAYER losing ground. Leaving the back straight FUSILLADE improved onto the heels of DELTA GOOD WIN and both greyhounds were checked. KNOCKER was wide entering the top turn. Racing through the top turn FUSILLADE shifted out off the heels of PREMIER PLAYER. Entering the home straight FASHION ADVICE shifted out off the heels of KNOCKER.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m
KILTY JACK and ROXY ROCKET were slow to begin. Through the 1st turn MAGIC IT UP, SALLY SPARKLES, BARBARINO’S BOY and MY DIEGO were all tight and unbalanced. BARBARINO’S BOY lost ground as a result. Through the top turn MAGIC IT UP shifted out and appeared to lose ground when in clear running. Approaching the winning post ROXY ROCKET turned its head inwards and marred the running of SALLY SPARKLES.
The
greyhound MAGIC IT UP was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
Stewards advised trainer’s representative Mr. M Pearce that the greyhound ROXY ROCKET would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks
Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m
PEARLS A PLENTY and SPRING ELIZA were best to begin. Shortly after the start SPRING ELIZA and SURF HONOUR TEAR came together. Through the 1st turn SURF HONOUR TEAR and SWEET AS BETH collided. Entering the back straight DIRTY DESSA was tightened between TOKATEE KAHN and SURF HONOUR TEAR with SURF HONOUR TEAR and DIRTY DESSA losing ground.
