The greyhound ROCKET READY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.26 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks except Grafton.
ELECTRIC BUNDY, FAMOUS FOR FUN and PREMIER GAS were all slow to begin. HANSON TANGO checked off the heels of FARMOR OFF TAP and lost considerable ground approaching the turn out of the back straight. FAMOUS FOR FUN and RYLI’S DREAMER bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground. TIA MARIA checked across the heels of FAMOUS FOR FUN entering the home straight. FAMOUS FOR FUN and FARMOR OFF TAP bumped entering the front straight. PEPPA COLLECTOR checked across the heels of FAMOUS FOR FUN in the home straight.
The
greyhound PREMIER GAS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
NANNY CHAR CHAR was best to begin. SWISH BEACH and NAT MAN were slow to begin. EXPRESS LEVEL was marginally slow to begin. EXPRESS LEVEL shifted in shortly after the start tightening NAT MAN onto SWISH BEACH who was checked and lost considerable ground as a result. RYLI’S CAM and LA CHASE RAPIDE bumped heavily in the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. EXPRESS LEVEL raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.
The greyhound SWISH BEACH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Trainer advised if the greyhound performs in a similar manner he would no long start the greyhound at TAB race meetings.
Race 3 – Maiden 395m
SPRING CALIBER was best to begin. SANDY ISLAND, SIR BLINK and TEXAS ROLL were all slow to begin. SURFING PRINCE, CLAYBRO NINJA and HAZY GAZE bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in CLAYBRO NINJA checking off the heels of SURFING PRINCE and losing ground. HAZY GAZE checked off the heels of SURFING PRINCE entering the back straight. TEXAS ROLL raced onto the heels of SIR BLINK and lost ground in the back straight. CLAYBRO NINJA shifted in on the turn out of the back straight tightening HASHTAG EBONY and SANDY ISLAND. Both greyhound lost ground as a result. HAZY GAZE and TEXAS ROLL bumped on the turn into the home straight. SIR BLINK raced wide in the home straight.
Race 4 – Novice 331m
WON MY HEART was best to begin. ANTI AMIGO was slow to begin. NASRI was tightened for racing room in the back straight and lost considerable ground. DAYSEAS COSMO checked off the heels of MISS KARA and lost ground in the back straight. DAYSEAS COSMO raced onto the heels of WHAT MAGIC approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. ANTI AMIGO was tightened for racing room between STANDOUT and WON MY HEART on the turn out of the back straight resulting in ANTI AMIGO losing considerable ground. TOTTENHAM TERROR checked off the heels of DAYSEAS COSMO just prior to turning out of the back straight.
The greyhound NASRI was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 5 – Novice 331m
PERFECT POUT was best to begin. ACHTUNG was slow to begin. HASHTAG WINNING checked off the heels of THAT’S INSANE on the turn into the back straight. PERFECT POUT checked off the hindquarters of MIA MYA MO on the turn into the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground. ACHTUNG and THAT’S INSANE bumped on the turn into the home straight. CLASSY BARCY raced wide in the home straight.
The
greyhound RIDES ON SCOOTER was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to
the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade 520m
MAGIC MAIDEN was best to begin. SPRING FIRECHIEF was slow to begin. COSMIC CYCLONE checked off the heels of INTENSIVE STORM and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion. COPPER LIGHT shifted out on the turn out of the front straight resulting in SPRING FIRECHIEF and INTENSIVE STORM being forced wide.
The greyhound COPPER LIGHT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 395m
Even start with RUPERT slow to begin. BOGART BLEND and DAIZY DOLITTLE bumped entering the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing some ground. BIG DAC checked across the heels of STARLINE RED on the turn into the home straight. BIG DAC after checking across the heels of STARLINE RED became unbalanced and checked off the heels of WALLY’S WAY. BOGART BLEND checked off the heels of RUPERT and lost ground entering the home straight. COSMIC EYE raced wide in the home straight.
Race 8 – 5th Grade 395m
GREYSTOKE BOY and BOCHNO APPEAL were slow to begin. HELLO STRANGER checked off the heels of BOCHINO APPEAL and lost ground shortly after the start. DORRIE MAC checked off the heels of RYLI’S RANGA and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. COSMIC CREST checked off the heels of FENRIR and lost ground in the back straight, resulting in some inconvenience to MISS CHARM. COSMIC CREST checked off the heels of MISS CHARM and lost considerable ground approaching the turn out of the back straight, resulting in interference to HELLO STRANGER and GREYSTOKE BOY.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start. MISS JAX checked off the heels of TOUGH LINC on the turn into the back straight resulting in some inconvenience to LUNAR QUEEN. BONNO BEACH checked off the heels of TOUGH LINC and lost ground in the back straight. BONNO BEACH checked off the heels of LUNAR QUEEN and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight. MISS JAX raced wide in the home straight.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m
NOT WORTH IT, SPRING ELIZA and BLUE OPINION were slow to begin. BLUE MEXICAN shifted in on the turn into the back straight tightening SAND SNIPER onto ZIVA ZAFONIC onto TARZAN’S GRIP, resulting in BLUE MEXICAN and SAND SNIPER being severely checked and losing considerable ground and causing ZIVA ZAFONIC to check off the heels of TARZAN’S GRIP and lose ground. SAND SNIPER checked off the heels of BLUE OPINION in the back straight resulting in SAND SNIPER shifting out and checking across the heels of BLUE MEXICAN, causing BLUE MEXICAN to lose ground as a result. ZIVA ZAFONIC raced wide in the home straight.
