GENERAL

 

The greyhound CHATSWORTHY performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.64.

 

The greyhound SWIFT PIRATE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.93.

 

The greyhound FORWARD PASS performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 395m in a time 22.89.

 

The greyhound JUST LIKE TINA performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.85.

 

The greyhound MANYARA MISS performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.93 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 395m

SMOKE UNDERCOVER was very slow to begin.  Through the catching pen CULPER SPY shifted in checking MACY DIAMONDS.  WHAT’S FOREVER and FLASHMAN SAM were wide entering the back straight.  Through the top turn SMOKE UNDERCOVER improved onto the heels of FLASHMAN MAN and became unbalanced.  Entering the home straight SMOKE UNDERCOVER shifted out hampering MACY DIAMONDS.  Approaching the winning post SMOKE UNDERCOVER shifted out, turned its head and marred the running of WHAT’S FOREVER.

 

The greyhound SMOKE UNDERCOVER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer’s representative Mr.D Moore that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 395m

BUNDY MAGIC and MR. COLLISION were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start FLASHING FEAR and YES GERONOMO were tightened between BUN’S GUNS and SUNDAY SUNRISE.  Approaching the top turn MUGGED ON TOUR improved on the heels of YES GERONOMO and both greyhounds became unbalanced.  BUNDY MAGIC and BUN’S GUNS which were following were inconvenienced and BUN’S GUNS proceeded to shift wide through the top turn.  Continuing through the turn MUGGED ON TOUR and BUN’S GUNS collided.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 395m

Even start.  Shortly after the start FOXIE UNDERCOVER shifted in tightening WEST MEAD BLUE.  Through the 1st turn ROCKET’S ANGEL was tightened between JACK OSCAR and FOXIE UNDERCOVER, which shifted.  ROCKET’S ANGEL lost ground as a result and JUST BE GUN which was following was inconvenienced.  Passing the catching pen BUSH SPIRIT and SMART DUDE raced tight and unbalanced.  Entering the back straight WEST MEAD BLUE was tightened between BUSH SPIRIT and SMART DUDE and lost ground.  Racing through the back straight JUST BE GUN and ROCKET’S ANGEL came together.  Entering the top turn JUST BE GUN shifted out hampering ROCKET’S ANGEL.  SMART DUDE and JUST BE GUN raced tight through the home straight.

 

Race 4 – Novice 395m

UNLUCKY MAX was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn HARA’S SIZZLE and WINNIE’S GUN were tight.  Entering the back straight UNLUCKY MAX shifted out off the heels of WINNIE’S GUN and collided with MISTER PITT and UNLUCKY MAX lost ground in this incident.

 

The greyhound UNLUCKY MAX was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – Novice 395m

RUBY DEE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start HER STORY shifted in tightening BAZZA’S ISSUE.  Entering the 1st turn ELL’S ALL CLASS shifted in tightening STILL COUNTING.  Shortly after RUBY DEE tightened ELL’S ALL CLASS with both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.  Passing the catching pen STILL COUNTING improved onto the heels of MAGIC MOUSSE becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  Entering the back straight HER STORY tightened EASY OFF which lost ground.  Approaching the top turn EASY OFF was tightened between LATESHOW MATISSE and ELL’S ALL CLASS.  Through the top turn EASY OFF was tightened between STILL COUNTING and MAGIC MOUSSE and EASY OFF and MAGIC MOUSSE became unbalanced.  Continuing through the turn HER STORY, LATESHOW MATISSE and ELL’S ALL CLASS raced tight and unbalanced.  Entering the home straight STILL COUNTING shifted off the heels of HER STORY.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 1 395m

BOSANOVA and SIR BAZZ ATTACK were best to begin with PUCKER UP CHUCK slow.  Entering the back straight MAGIC ANGEL shifted in tightening DASHING DIME which lost ground.  Shortly after, PUCKER UP CHUCK improved onto the heels of SHE TALKS and was checked.  Through the back straight DASHING DIME was forced to shift out off the heels of PUCKER UP CHUCK and NEVER THE TRUTH.  Through the back straight MAGIC ANGEL was tightened between SHE TALKS and CLASSIC TRADER.  Through the top turn NEVER THE TRUTH shifted out off the heels of MAGIC ANGEL.  In the home straight PUCKER UP CHUCK shifted out off the heels of BOSANOVA.

 

Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 395m

Even start.  Through the 1st turn KIEWA GEM, HAWKO’S MISTAKE and WAZZA KING were tightened between INTILACH and JUST ITCHIN’ and all greyhounds became unbalanced with KIEWA GEM, HAWKO’S MISTAKE and WAZZA KING losing ground.  Approaching the top turn INTILACH and CLOUD LAND were tight.  Through the top turn CLOUD LAND checked off the heels of INTILACH.

 

The greyhound HAWKO’S MISTAKE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – 1/2nd Grade 395m

LINE UP BUOYS was slow to begin.  Passing the catching pen KULU ROO shifted in checking BANC DE KAHN.  Through the back straight BANC DE KAHN was tightened between LINE UP BUOYS and GEMMA DUAL and was forced to shift out onto the running of GLORIA TRICK.  Entering the home straight KULU CHA CHING and KULU DEE JAY raced tight and unbalanced.

 

The greyhound BANC DE KAHN was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 2 395m

MIGHTY ROCKET was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start CHAMPS and NEUROLOGICAL were tightened between HARA’S HARRY and DIAMOND OSPREY.  CHAMPS and NEUROLOGICAL bumped passing the catching pen.  HARA’S HARRY and DIAMOND OSPREY raced tight and bumped through the back straight and HARA’S HARRY became unbalanced approaching the top turn.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade Heat 3 395m

LIKE A SUNRISE was slow to begin with LONESOME DUK and KATHIE’S FLASH best to begin.  Through the 1st turn CYCLONE MARLOW shifted out off the heels of SPY QUEEN.  At the same time MARLO GOOD shifted in tightening STANDOUT.  Entering the back straight LONESOME DUK was tightened between KATHIE’S FLASH and LAURYN’S BEST and shifted onto the running of SPY QUEEN checking this greyhound.  Through the top turn CYCLONE MARLOW   shifted off the heels of STANDOUT.  LIKE A SUNRISE was wide through the top turn and entering the home straight.
