The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhound EXPRESS LEO performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.34.

 

The greyhound DRAGON DUK performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.57.

 

Trainer Mr. M James was fined $100 for Failing to Scratch TOKATEE KAHN Rule 23.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 395m

Even start with MISS ELEGANCE marginally slow to begin.  BUNDY MAGIC and OKA’S ANGEL bumped shortly after the start resulting in BUNDY MAGIC losing some ground.  SMART ILLUSION and WHAT’S FOREVER raced wide in the back straight.  WHAT’S FOREVER checked off the heels of SMART ILLUSION and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  BUNDY MAGIC checked off the heels of MISS ELEGANCE and lost ground in the back straight.  WHAT’S FOREVER raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound WHAT’S FOREVER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 395m

Even start.  SO LONELY crossed shortly after the start tightening FEAR THE RECALL onto MUMMA’S HOPE, in turn onto NOVIRO, in onto BEEJAY MCROCKET, in onto GALI BAARRI DUK, resulting in all these greyhounds being checked and losing ground.  FEAR THE RECALL checked off the heels of SO LONELY and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  SIDE STEP GARY checked off the heels of SO LONELY lost ground entering the back straight.  NOVIRO shifted out in the back straight bumping SO LONELY causing SO LONELY to check across the heels of NOVIRO with both greyhounds losing some ground.  NOVIRO raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.  NOVIRO shifted out entering the home straight forcing FEAR THE RECALL to race wide.

 

Race 3 – Novice 395m

EASY OFF was best to begin.  ADAM’S ANGEL and TRUE BLUE ICE were slow to begin.  HASHTAG WINNING was very slow to begin.  WON MY HEART shifted down the track shortly after the start checking LATESHOW MATISSE who lost ground as a result.  ADAM’S ANGEL and TRUE BLUE ICE bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in ADAM’S ANGEL becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  MANYARA MISS and EASY OFF bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in EASY OFF losing some ground.  HASHTAG WINNING commenced to lose further ground entering the back straight and eventually taking no further part in the race.  TRUE BLUE ICE checked off the heels of CLASSIC TYCOON and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight.  MANYARA MISS and EASY OFF bumped in the home straight.  LATESHOW MATISSE raced onto the heels of ADAM’S ANGEL in the front straight resulting in ADAM’S ANGEL losing ground.

 

The greyhound HASHTAG WINNING was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. S Staples that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

 

The greyhound MANYARA MISS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore metacarpal and was stood down for a period of 14 days and must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m prior to nominating.  Stewards had concerns over the chasing manners of this greyhound in particular on the turn out of the back straight and on the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 4 – Novice 395m

Even start with IVORY KING was slow to begin.  BRING BACK JOE shifted in on the turn into the back straight tightening KIOWA KING onto MADAM MEDUSA, resulting in MADAM MEDUSA and KIOWA KING becoming unbalanced and losing ground, resulting in interference to IVORY KING.  MADAM MEDUSA checked off the heels of BRING BACK JOE entering the back straight, resulting in interference to KIOWA KING.  SISTER KAHN started to lose ground for no apparent reason entering the back straight and took no further competitive part in the race.  WINNIE’S GUN raced wide in the back straight.  WINNIE’S GUN raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound SISTER KAHN was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 5 – Maiden Final 395m

MINNIE’S HOPE was best to begin and YES GERONOMO and ELECTRIC BUNDY were slow to begin.  MR. COLLISION was also slow to begin.  WOOZIE DOOZIE, WESTERN HONEY and JUST BE GUN bumped on the turn into the back straight, resulting in JUST BE GUN losing ground.  YES GERONOMO checked off the heels of WOOZIE DOOZIE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  MR. COLLISION raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound ELECTRIC BUNDY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 395m

Even start with MIGHTY ROCKET marginally slow to begin.  DREAM RIVER checked off the heels of STUART’S CHOICE and lost ground shortly after the start.  MIGHTY ROCKET was tightened for racing room between WAZZ’S FANTASY and CODY’S GRAND and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  DAYSEAS FREDDIE, MAGIC GALO and DREAM RIVER bumped entering the back straight, resulting in MAGIC GALO being tightened for racing room and losing ground.  CODY’S GRAND and LINNY MORRIS bumped on the turn into the home straight.  STUART’S CHOICE and MIGHTY ROCKET bumped on the turn into the home straight.

 

Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 395m

Even start.  KIEWA GEM, JUST ITCHIN’, CLOUD LAND and YOUR DEAL all bumped heavily on the turn into the back straight resulting in JUST ITCHIN’ losing ground causing interference to WAZZA KING.  KIEWA GEM was tightened for racing room between WAZZA KING and CLOUD LAND on the turn into the back straight, resulting in KIEWA GEM losing ground.  KIEWA GEM and JUST ITCHIN’ bumped entering the back straight, resulting in KIEWA GEM losing ground. WAZZA KING checked off the heels of EVIE’S ANGEL and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in interference to CLOUD LAND.  JUST ITCHIN’ raced onto the heels of WAZZA KING on the turn into the home straight, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  WAZZA KING and KIEWA GEM bumped heavily just prior to the finish line.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 395m

DIAMOND OSPREY, KATHIE’S FLASH, LONESOME DUK and MARLO GOOD were all slow to begin.  CLASSY CHURCHIE checked off the heels of LAURYN’S BEST on the turn into the back straight, resulting in interference to PUCKER UP CHUCK and SHANAE’S MAGIC.  PUCKER UP CHUCK checked off the hindquarters of CLASSY CHURCHIE on the turn into the back straight.  PUCKER UP CHUCK shifted out entering the back straight bumping LONESOME DUK who lost ground as a result.  SHANAE’S MAGIC checked off the heels of KATHIE’S FLASH and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m

NEUROLOGICAL and BOSANOVA were best to begin.  BAZZA’S ISSUE and CLASSY BARCY were slow to begin.  BOVANOVA crossed on the turn into the back straight tightening NEUROLOGICAL onto SHE TALKS, resulting in both SHE TALKS and NEUROLOGICAL becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  BAZZA’S ISSUE checked off the heels of CLASSY BARCY and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  BAZZA’S ISSUE checked off the heels of UPNEY LANE and lost ground entering the back straight.  NEUROLOGICAL checked off the heels of CLASSY BARCY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  BAZZA’S ISSUE and UPNEY LANE bumped on the turn into the home straight.  UPNEY LANE raced wide in the back straight.  UPNEY LANE raced very wide in the home straight.  CLASSY BARCY raced wide in the home straight and BAZZA’S ISSUE raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

BLACK PARADOX was best to begin.  NOT WORTH IT was slow to begin.  TAYTO, SPY QUEEN and CHAMPS all bumped on the turn into the back straight.  HOPE’S MISS checked off the heels of BLACK PARADOX on the turn into the back straight.  CHAMPS was tightened for racing room between SPY QUEEN and HOPE’S MISS entering the back straight resulting in CHAMPS losing ground.
