The greyhound SHRUB’S CRUSDADER performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 331m in time of 19.49.
The greyhound FAST NET performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 18.97.
The greyhound ART ON CONFUSION performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.33.
PEPPA COLLECTOR was best to begin. Entering the back straight BONTEMPELLI race up onto the heels of GLEBE KID dragging that greyhound down, causing further interference to MACY DIAMONDS. GLEBE KID took no further competitive part in the event. Approaching the top turn YES I’M BLOND checked off the heels of TEJAY’S AWESOME resulting in that greyhound losing ground causing further interference to BAR KING, resulting in that greyhound almost falling and also taking no further competitive part in the event.
The greyhound TEJAYS’ AWESOME was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
The
greyhound GLEBE KID was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the back
and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
SO FUNNY was slow to begin. Through the 1st turn BLACK BOMER shifted in tightening OKA’S ANGEL, NARRINA, MUMMA’S HOPE and ELECTRIC BUNDY. Shortly after this SUMMER’S RACER shifted in tightening BLACK BOMBER resulting in that greyhound losing ground. In the back straight BLACK BOMBER was again tightened for room by NARRINA, resulting in that greyhound becoming unbalanced and losing ground. In the back straight FOXIE UNDERCOVER was checked by OKA’S ANGEL. Approaching the winning post ELECTIC BUNDY and MUMMA’S HOPE bumped continuously. SO FUNNY raced wide throughout the home straight.
Race 3 – Maiden 395m
GOLD DIVA, SHAYLOR CLEDUS and MR. COLLISION were slow to begin. Through the 1st turn GOLD DIVA and SHAYLRO CLEDUS bumped. Entering the back straight HYDROGEN checked off the heels of IN JOCK’S SHADOW. In the back straight GOLD DIVA and HYDROGEN collided resulting in GOLD DIVA becoming extremely unbalanced and almost falling. MR. COLLISION raced wide in the home turn.
The
greyhound GOLD DIVA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off fore
leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
Race 4 – Novice 395m
NANNY CHAR CHAR was best to begin. IVORY KING was slow to begin. Shortly after the start MICRAJEWEL and STARLINE WHITE bumped resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. Entering the back straight MICRAJEWEL checked off the heels of IVORY KING, resulting in that greyhound losing ground. In the back straight SHAYLOR CHARLIE checked off the heels of NANNY CHAR CHAR. Turning into the home straight LATESHOW MATISSE shifted out making heavy contact with SHAYLOR CHARLIE. Approaching the winning post STARLINE WHITE and NANNY CHAR CHAR bumped continuously. MICRAJEWEL raced wide throughout the home straight.
Race 5 – Maiden 395m
Even start. Shortly after the start all greyhounds with the exception of GREAT KNOCKT THAT were severely tightened resulting in LATIN DANCE, SCORCHING CORNER and YES GERONOMO losing ground. Through the 1st turn GREAT KNOCK THAT and ON TIGHT LINES bumped.
The
greyhound LATIN DANCE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade 395m
SOUTHERN FLOSS was best to begin. MARLO GOOD and STEVIE’S TURBO were slow to begin. Shortly after the start MINNIE’S HOPE was tightened for room between CHAMPS and UPNEY LANE, resulting in that greyhound losing ground. Through the 1st turn ANGELIC MISS checked off the heels of SOUTHERN FLOSS, resulting in MINNIE’S HOPE and STEVIE’S TURBO being checked and losing ground. Approaching the top turn MINNIE’S HOPE checked off the heels of STEVIE’S TURBO. CHAMPS and UPNEY LANE raced wide throughout the home straight.
The greyhound MINNIE’S HOPE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Trainer Mr. T Elson advised stewards that if anything came to light in the coming days he would advise stewards. Mr. Elson advised stewards that MINNIE’S HOPE had never raced at the rear of the field and this may have been the result of the poor performance and it was a young greyhound. The greyhound was a short priced favourite.
Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 395m
WAZZA KING and BLACK PARADOX were best to begin. Through the 1st turn JUST ITCHIN’, WINTON BURN and BILLYCATH were all tightened and lost ground as a result of CLASSY CHURCHIE shifting in. Approaching the top turn BILLYCATH checked off the heels of WINTON BURN. BILLYCATH raced wide throughout the home straight.
The greyhound BILLYCATH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 8 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start. Shortly after the start VELOCITY SPICE, SHANAE’S MAGIC, CLASSY TOM and LAURYN’S BEST all raced tight. Shortly after this CLASSY TOM and LAURYN’S BEST were both tightened for room and lost ground when AZARIAH shifted in. Entering the back straight NO BOSS checked off the heels of CLASSIC TYCOON and lost ground. VELOCITY SPICE raced wide throughout the home straight.
The greyhound LAURYN’S BEST was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards interviewed trainer’s representative Mr. T Elson in relation to the greyhound’s performance. Mr. Elson advised stewards that due to the tightening and LAURYN’S BEST normally races on speed today failed to find her best performance and would inform stewards in the near future if anything does come to light, regardless of the tightening he was happy with the performance.
The
greyhound NO BOSS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind
webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m
TOKATEE KAHN was slow to begin with the remainder evenly away. Through the 1st turn MIGHTY OAK was tightened between MIGHTY ROCKET and BOSANOVA, resulting in MIGHTY OAK losing ground. Entering the back straight BOSANOVA checked off the heels of MIGHTY ROCKET and lost ground.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start. Through the 1st turn WINDFALL, BLOWIN’ NUMBERS, HANSON COSMOS, GEARS OF WAR and LOLLI DOLLI were all tightened and became unbalanced and lost ground when MODERN MISS and ZIVA ZAFONIC shifted to the running rail. Entering the back straight LOLLI DOLLI checked off the heels of HANSON COSMOS. In the back straight SINUK checked off the heels of HANSON COSMOS losing ground and taking no further competitive part in the event. Entering the home straight BLOWIN’ NUMBERS shifted out marring the running of ZIVA ZAFONIC. Over the concluding stages BLOWIN’ NUMBERS and ZIVA ZAFONIC continued to make contact.
The greyhound BLOWIN’ NUMBERS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. C Mutton that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.
The
greyhound SINUK was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near
side achilles and was stood down for a period of 28 days.
