Race 10 MINNIE’S HOPE Injured in running, off side hip, 10 days
The greyhound SHAYLOR ZELDA performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.85.
The greyhound SHAYLOR EVELYN performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.42.
The greyhound SHAYLOR HARRY performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.24.
The greyhound SHAYLOR JAKE performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.27.
The greyhound SHAYLOR PAIGE performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.55.
The greyhound SHAYLOR JOEL performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.69.
The greyhound SHAYLOR MONTANA performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.54.
The greyhound JAYMIE’S REVENGE performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.57.
CATWALK SHOW LEE was slow to begin. Passing the catching pen ROCKET’S MAGIC checked NORDOC MAGIC. Approaching the top turn ELECTRIC BUNDY tightened NORDOC MAGIC. Through the top turn OKA’S ANGEL and ROCKET’S MAGIC bumped. Entering the home straight OKA’S ANGEL and ROCKET’S MAGIC collided and became unbalanced.
CASEY UNDERCOVER was best to begin. Shortly after the start NAMOR was tightened between MISS ELEGANCE and FEAR THE RECALL. Through the 1st turn IRISH MADAM, FABULOUS HOPE and FEAR THE RECALL all collided. Entering the back straight IRISH MADAM shifted off the heels of MISS ELEGANCE and lost ground.
Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 395m
SPRITELY LADY was slow to begin. Through the 1st turn MASTER CORSAIR, SHAYLOR CLEDUS and BUN’S GUNS were tight and unbalanced. Passing the catching pen PEPPA COLLECTOR collided with BONTEMPELLI and became severely unbalanced. SPRITELY LADY and PURE BEAUTY which were following were hampered. Entering the back straight SHAYLOR CLEDUS shifted out checking PEPPA COLLECTOR. Through the back straight SPRITELY LADY checked PEPPA COLLECTOR.
The greyhound PEPPA COLLECTOR was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised the trainer that the greyhound’s performance was bordering on unsatisfactory, but did take into account the severity of the interference suffered by PEPPA COLLECTOR throughout the run. A warning was placed on this greyhound.
Race 4 – Novice 395m
Even start. Shortly after the start CASSIOPEIA and MIA MYA MO were tightened between TEAJY’S AWESOME and WON MY HEART. Entering the back straight MIA MYA MO improved onto the heels of TEJAY’S AWESOME and became unbalanced. SUNDAY SUNRISE was wide through the back straight. Approaching the top turn MIA MYA MO and CASSIOPEIA came together.
When questioned in regards to the improved performance of SHAYLOR BECKY, trainer Mr. P. Smith stated to stewards that the greyhound had been trailing well in public trials at the Albion Park track and had registered times sub 23 seconds. He noted that this was the greyhound’s 2nd start for his kennel and advised stewards that the greyhound had increased its weight from previous starts to what he believed to be a healthier racing weight. Mr. Smith advised stewards that while confident in the greyhound’s chances he did not support the greyhound in this race. Mr. Smith was advised that similar performances would be expected going forward.
Race 5 – Novice 395m
IVORY KING was slow to begin. Through the 1st turn ADAM’S ANGEL checked off the heels of FLASHMAN SAM and collided with WASABI WARRIOR with both greyhounds losing ground. Through the back straight LATESHOW MATISSE checked WOOZIE DOOZIE which lost ground. Approaching the top turn LATESHOW MATISSE and FLASHMAN SAM bumped.
When questioned in regards to the improved performance of TRUE BLUE ICE, trainer Mr. P Smith stated to stewards that this greyhound had been trialing well at the Albion Park track since its previous race start. Mr. Smith further stated that he did not support this greyhound and that the price of $6.50 was surprising to him. Mr. Smith was advised that similar performances would be expected going forward.
The greyhound WOOZIE DOOZIE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade Heat 1 395m
CHAMPS and ELITE DESSA were slow to begin. Shortly after the start SHANAE’S MAGIC checked off the heels of ELLIE’S VOLUNTAS. Through the 1st turn ELITE DESSA, ONE LONELY GIRL and CHAMPS raced tight and unbalanced. Approaching the top turn SHANAE’S MAGIC, CHAMPS, ONE LONELY GIRL and SHE TALKS all raced tight and unbalanced and as a result SHE TALKS fell and took no further competitive part in the event. CHAMPS was severely inconvenienced as a result.
The greyhound SHE TALKS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – Open 395m
Even start. Shortly after the start CLOUD LAND, FENRIR, LINE UP BUOYS, EVIE’S ANGEL, BOUNCER BENZ and LATE TROTS ANGEL were all tightened between WAZZA KING and DAYSEAS ASTRA. Passing the catching pen CLOUD LAND and FENRIR collided and EVIE’S ANGEL and BOUNCER BENZ which were following were hampered. Entering the back straight FENRIR shifted out checking EVIE’S ANGEL.
Race 8 – 4th Grade 395m
WAZZ’S FANTASY, MIGHTY ROCKET and JESS NIRO were slow to begin. Entering the back straight CLASSY TOM shifted out off the heels of MODERN MISS. Entering the top turn DENZANO OSTI shifted out hampering MODERN MISS and MIGHTY ROCKET. Through the top turn MODERN MISS and MIGHTY ROCKET came together.
Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 2 395m
ROCKY BENZ was slow to begin. Through the 1st turn GOLD TOTAL shifted off the heels of TAYTO tightening THREADS, TRAV’S MAGIC and CODY’S GRAND. Entering the back straight ROCKY BENZ shifted off the heels of SOUTHERN FLOSS and collided with GOLD TOTAL and THREADS. THREADS was wide through the back straight. Down the home straight TRAV’S MAGIC shifted out off the heels of TAYTO.
Race 10 – 5th Grade Heat 3 395m
SUPA SMOOTH OSTI and BEAU JILLEM were best to begin. Through the 1st turn MR. MARAUDER shifted out tightening LADY’S ANGEL, DENZEL BENZ, DAYSEAS DOLLY and EXPRESS LEO. Passing the catching pen SUPA SMOOTH OSTI and BEAU JILLEM collided. Entering the back straight MINNIE’S HOPE shifted out off the heels of SUPA SMOOTH OSTI collided with BEAU JILLEM. At the same time DENZEL BENZ and MR. MARAUDER came together. Entering the back straight EXPRESS LEO improved onto the heels of BEAU JILLEM and both greyhounds were checked. Approaching the top turn MINNIE’S HOPE and EXPRESS LEO collided. Through the top turn MINNIE’S HOPE and EXPRESS LEO raced tight and bumped.
The
greyhound MINNIE’S HOPE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
