GENERAL

 

Race 1 – Novice 520m

SHOW BOUND was best to begin with VEGAS BOUND slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight on the 1st occasion AEROPLANE JACK checked off the heels of DOWN THEY CAME causing AEROPLANE JACK to check GREAT KNOCK THAT.  On the turn out of the home straight AEROPLANE JACK and GREAT KNOCK THAT collided forcing GREAT KNOCK THAT wide.  On the turn out of the back straight VEGAS BOUND checked off the heels of SPECIAL VISION causing VEGAS BOUND to check DOWN THEY CAME.  On the turn out of the back straight OCCY CUT BACK and GREAT KNOCK THAT collided.  On the turn into the home straight AEROPLANE JACK and GREAT KNOCK THAT collided with BRALYN CHARLIE wide.

 

Race 2 – 5th Grade 520m

The greyhound LAVERNE was vetted pre race, no apparent injuries were found and was passed fit to compete

 

STUART’S CHOICE and BE ZANEY were best to begin with MR. CODY slowly away.  Soon after the start STUART’S CHOICE, BLACK CASPER and BE ZANEY all raced tight and bumped causing BLACK CASPER to stumble.  Halfway down the running BLACK CASPER and LAVERNE collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight on the 1st occasion STUART’S CHOICE, BE ZANEY and MADE THAT WAY all collided causing MADE THAT WAY to drop back.  In the back straight BE ZANEY was wide.  In the home straight SHANIA SIND was wide.

 

The greyhound LAVERNE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 520m

ULTRA BLUE was best to begin with ABBY’S MAGIC slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight on the 1st occasion  EL CHAD checked off the heels of GOT A BROTHER causing GOT A BROTHER to climb on the back of YOUI causing these 2 greyhounds to fall checking IN THE PICTURE.  In the back straight ULTRA BLUE was wide.  In the home straight ULTRA BLUE was wide.

 

The greyhound GOT A BROTHER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound YOUI was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 520m

Even start with COSMIC BOSS slowly away.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion RADLEY RETURN and YADA YADA YADA collided.  On the turn out of the home straight LADY GOLDENPAW and RADLEY RETURN collided causing LADY GOLDENPAW to drop back.  Entering the back straight COSMIC BOSS and LADY GOLDENPAW collided.  In the back straight JUST LIKE TINA was wide.  Approaching the winning post KING ELLIOT and RADLEY RETURN collided.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 520m

SPECIAL GIRL was best to begin with CHEEKY FREYER and TITAN ASH slowly away.  Soon after the start DARE TO TELL and CHEEKY FREYER collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight BLUE DEN checked off the heels of SWIFT PIRATE.  Entering the back straight SWIFT PIRATE and DON’T GO QUIETLY collided.  In the back straight DARE TO TELL and CHEEKY FREYER collided forcing CHEEKY FREYER wide.  Entering the home straight CHEEKY FREYER checked off the heels of SWIFT PIRATE.

 

The greyhound SWIFT PIRATE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Connections of SWIFT PIRATE Mrs. S Hunt advised stewards that she doesn’t think the inside suits the greyhound as it prefers the outside box.

 

Race 6 – 4th Grade 520m

Even start with DASHING CANUTE slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight SENOR’S MISTRESS checked off the heels of FLASH ZOE.  On the turn out of the home straight DASHING CANUTE was wide.  In the back straight HOPE’S FANTASY and DASHING CANUTE were wide.  In the home straight HOPE’S FANTASY and UP THE ATTITUDE were wide.  Approaching the winning post FLASH ZOE and HOPE’S FANTASY collided.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 600m

JAYDEN LASS was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Entering the turn into the home straight on the 1st occasion DREAM RIVER, FLAUNT IT and COSMIC WATERS all collided forcing COSMIC WATERS wide into the home straight.  On the turn out of the home straight GRIM CREEPER was wide.  Entering the back straight SARAJEVO GIRL checked off the heels of DREAM RIVER.  In the back straight GRIM CREEPER was wide.  Entering the home straight CYNDIE’S MAGIC and JAYDEN LASS collided.

 

The greyhound SARAJEVO GIRL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound GRIM CREEPER was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 8 – Best 8 520m

Even start with KNAVE and LADY ABIGAIL slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight ANNIE BENZ and RENOUF’S MAGIC collided.  On the turn out of the home straight RENOUF’S MAGIC and PIKELET collided.  In the back straight KNAVE was wide.  In the home straight RENOUF’S MAGIC was wide.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m

CARDIAC KING was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  On the turn out of the home straight on the 1st occasion MOCHA LATTE was wide.  In the back straight MINI OREO was wide.  Entering the turn into the home straight LARA SAINT checked off the heels of FAST AS causing FAST AS to falter checking MOCHA LATTE.  Approaching the winning post CARDIAC KING and CRACKING CAZA collided.

 

The greyhound LARA SAINT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m

CASH IN MOTION was best to begin with WAR PICTURE slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight ARABIAN MELODY checked off the heels of GEORGINA.  On the turn out of the home straight and the back straight HUDSONS BREAK was wide.  On the turn out of the back straight MASTER CODY and TEMNICK collided.  Entering the home straight ARABIAN MELODY turned its head outwards and marred TEMNICK.  In the home straight HUDSONS BREAK was wide.

 

The greyhound HUDSONS BREAK was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Enright that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.
