GENERAL

 

The greyhound CHAMPAGNE BENZ performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 18.91.

 

The greyhound SHAYLOR BECKY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.36 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 395m

Even start.  Entering the turn into the back straight ZIP ZIPS MAGIC and CATWALK SHOW LEE collided causing CATWALK SHOW LEE to drop back checking MISS ELEGANCE and BUSH SPIRIT.  In the back straight FOXY UNDERCOVER checked of the heels of BUSH SPIRIT forcing SMART CHIC wide.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight CATWALK SHOW LEE was wide.  On the turn out of the back straight ZIP ZIPS MAGIC and MISS ELEGANCE collided causing CATWALK SHOW LEE to check off the heels of ZIP ZIPS MAGIC.  In the home straight SMART CHIC and MISS ELEGANCE collided.  Approaching the finish line ZIP ZIPS MAGIC and SMART CHIC collided.

 

The greyhound ZIP ZIPS MAGIC was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 395m

MANTATTAN MISS and NOT TODAY MATE were best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  On the turn into the back straight MASTER CORSAIR checked off the heels of FABULOUS HOPE causing MASTER CORSAIR to fall checking ELECTRIC BUNDY.  In the back straight CASEY UNDERCOVER was wide.  In the home straight NOT TODAY MATE and ELECTRIC BUNDY were wide.

 

The greyhound MASTER CORSAIR was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 395m

Even start with MINI’S COLLISION slowly away.  On the turn into the back straight WHAT’S FOREVER and VESUVIO MAGIC collided causing WHAT’S FOREVER to drop back checking MINI’S COLLISION.  In the back straight MINI’S COLLISION and WHAT’S FOREVER were wide.  On the turn into the home straight MINI’S COLLISION came out and collided with MCAW MACCAW.  In the home straight MINI’S COLLISION was wide.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. T Elson that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence + injury, back, 10 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

 

Race 4 – Novice 395m

COSMIC TALEYA was best to begin with TWO BEERS slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight SHAYLOR BELLE checked off the heels of QUEEN OF SHOW.  In the back straight SHAYLOR BELLE and RYLI’S DREAMER collided.  On the top turn TWO BEERS was wide.  In the home straight TWO BEERS and QUEEN OF SHOW were wide.

 

The greyhound TWO BEERS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – Novice 395m

Even start.  Soon after the start TEJAY’S AWESOME and ROCKET’S MAGIC collided.  In the back straight LUCY’S LUCK checked off the heels of JIMMY BRUTE causing LUCY’S LUCK to check DAYSEAS COSMO.  Entering the turn out of the back straight JIMMY BRUTE checked off the heels of ADAM’S ANGEL.  In the home straight LUCY’S LUCK was wide.

 

Race 6 – Novice 395m

NINJA LLOYDIE was best to begin with TIGGY SALT slowly away.  Entering the back straight DRAGON DANCER, STARLINE WHITE and SUMMER’S RACER all collided causing SUMMER’S RACER to check MY TINY SIZE.  In the back straight SUNDAY SUNRISE was wide.  Entering the turn into the home straight PROTO PENNY and MY TINY SIZE collided.  In the home straight STARLINE WHITE eased turning its head inwards.

 

The greyhound STARLINE WHITE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. G Pettersen that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

 

The greyhound TIGGY SALT was vetted and found to have suffered cramping and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Heat 1 395m

SUPA SMOOTH OSTI was best to begin with TOKATEE KAHN and HEIDI LYNDAN slowly away.  On the turn into the back straight SHE TALKS and FAULKNER collided.  In the back straight HEIDI LYNDAN checked off the heels of SOUTHERN FLOSS.  In the back straight and top turn HEIDI LYNDAN and FAULKNER were wide.  In the home straight AUSPHIL GIRL and HEIDI LYNDAN were wide.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 395m

Even start.  In the back straight SPIKE BENZ and CLOUD LAND were wide.  Entering the top turn out of the back straight CLASSY CHURCHIE and CLASSY TOM collided causing CLASSY TOM to drop back checking BLACK STEEL.  On the turn out of the back straight CLASSY TOM and CLOUD LAND collided.  In the home straight SPIKE BENZ was wide.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 2 395m

CHAMPS was best to begin with ELITE DESSA and MISS SHADOW slowly away.  In the back straight DAVID’S MEMORY was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight BALL ALLEY ANNIE checked off the heels of ELITE DESSA.  On the turn into the home straight CHAMPS, TAPPO OSTERIA and STANDOUT were racing tight and bumping.  In the home straight STANDOUT was wide.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade Heat 3 395m

Evens start.  On the turn into the back straight SOFT SOUND checked off the heels of TIGER OSTI causing these 2 greyhounds to falter and take no further competitive part in the event.  In the back straight SHYAN YAHOO was wide.  Entering the turn into the home straight HER STORY and SOFT SOUND collided.
