The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhounds GOOD GIRL JANICE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.56.

 

The greyhounds MAGIC IN ME performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.30.

 

The greyhounds MY SPRITE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 18.97.

 

The greyhounds ROYAL PRIZE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.00.

 

The greyhounds ALBARTROSS performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 18.98.

 

Trainer Mr. M Boody was fined $50 under Rule 46 (2) for late retrieval of greyhound TRANSMEDIA.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 520m

KLINGER and TRANSMEDIA were best to begin.  MR. SURRENDER and GLENALLON RINGO were slow to begin.  Entering the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion TRANSMEDIA checked off the heels of MARLUCA and lost ground.  At the same time LEIGH’S MIMSEAL checked off the heels of KLINGER, resulting in LEIGH’S MIMSEAL falling and taking no further competitive part in the event.  GLENALLON RINGO who was following was seriously inconvenienced.  Through the 1st turn MR. SURRENDER and GO BLACK BIDDY bumped.

 

The greyhound LEIGH’S MIMSEAL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound GLENALLON RINGO was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 520m

GLENALLON ZULU was best to begin.  SANRICO WENDY was slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn MR. COLLISION checked off the heels of NOVIRO, resulting in MR. COLLISION becoming extremely unbalanced and losing ground.  REAL FEAR and MYSTIC HAWKE who were following were also checked and lost ground.  GLENALLON ZULU and SIDBO raced tight through the top turn.  Through the top turn SIR BLINK and MYSTIC HAWKE bumped heavily, resulting in MR. COLLISION checked off the heels of MYSTIC HAWKE and losing ground.  Entering the home straight GLENALLON ZULU checked off the heels of SIDBO.  Shortly after the start REAL FEAR checked off the heels of GLENALLON ZULU.

 

Race 3 – Novice 520m

GREAT KNOCK THAT was best to begin.  KAR BLU and BY GOLLY MOLLY were slow to begin.  Entering the 1st turn MEG’S MAGIC checked off the heels of CHIEF HASSLER, resulting in both greyhounds becoming extremely unbalanced.  KAR BLU who was following was taken wider on the track as a result.

 

The greyhound CHIEF HASSLER was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 4 – Novice 520m

LARINA LEE was best to begin.  GALWAY GALE and LOCHILIME were slow to begin.  Through the front straight on the 1st occasion PROTO PENNY shifted out checking DETROIT MUSCLE, OUR GOLD and FARMOR CONFUSION, resulting in OUR GOLD losing ground.  Through the 1st turn DETROIT MUSCLE and FARMOR CONFUSION raced tight.  At the same time OUR GOLD checked off the heels of LOCHILIME, resulting in OUR GOLD racing wider on the track.  FARMOR CONFUSION and LOCHILIME raced tight throughout the back straight.

 

The greyhound FARMOR CONFUSION was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade Heat 1 520m

HEIDI BENZ was best to begin.  MASTER CODY and ALPHA ATHENA were slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn HER FAULT, MY TINY SIZE and MASTER CODY all raced tight, resulting in MASTER CODY being checked and losing ground.  Through the 1st turn HEIDI BENZ, STUART’S CHOICE and WINTON BURN raced tight.  Entering the back straight MY TINY SIZE checked off the heels of HER FAULT, resulting in MASTER CODY who was following being checked and losing more ground.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 2 520m

FORWARD PASS was best to begin.  SPRING DREAM was slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn SIVAMET was tightened for room and lost ground between FORWARD PASS and SWITCH BLADE.  GRIN AND WIN who was following was forced wider on the track.  Through the top turn SWITCH BLADE and POCAHONTAS raced tight.  Entering the back straight POCAHONTAS checked off the heels of SWITCH BLADE and lost ground.  Entering the top turn SIVAMET checked off the heels of FORWARD PASS.  SWITCH BLADE who was following checked off the heels of SIVAMET and as a result lost ground.

 

The greyhound SWITCH BLADE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Heat 3 520m

CHEVALEIR NUIT was best to begin.  DON’T DOUBT ME began awkwardly, resulting in that greyhound being extremely slow.

 

The greyhound ANOTHER HASSLER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – 0 – 3 Wins 600m

ALPHA ACHILLES was slow to begin.  Entering the back straight EGYPTIAN LASS checked off the heels of DOON GOES BOOM.  Entering the home straight EGYPTIAN LASS and DOON GOES BOOM bumped.

 

Race 9 – 4/5th Grade 600m

PHANTOM REIGN was best to begin.  FAR FROM FEAR and NO CALLARATAH were slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn JAYDEN LASS shifted out bumping BLACK PARADOX, resulting in that greyhound losing ground.  Entering the 1st straight on the 1st occasion FAR FROM FEAR checked off the heels of SARAJEVO GIRL.  MR. CODY yielded ground through the front straight on the 1st occasion.

 

The greyhound MR. CODY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade Heat 4 520m

TRIPLE TRIGGER was best to begin.  LIKE A SUNRISE was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start MERCEDES LASS checked off the heels of SIMPATICO.  Entering the 1st turn FARMOR MAYHEM checked off the heels of GOLFING AMY.  Entering the home straight MERCEDES LASS and VAGUE MEMORIES bumped, resulting in VAGUE MEMORIES becoming unbalanced.  In the home straight SIMPATICO and TRIPLE TRIGGER raced tight.
