The greyhound JOHNATHAN’S HOPE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 331m in a time of 18.87.
The greyhound HARUMBA failed a 6 month trial over the distance of 331m.
The greyhound BOMBAY ROLLER performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.51.
The greyhound STARJAMMER performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.97.
The greyhound MANYARA MISS performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.19 and is now cleared all tracks.
The greyhound DAYSEAS SPEEDY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.05 and is now cleared all tracks.
BILL’S FLASH and COS SHE CAN were best to begin. DRAGON DUK and PAUA TO THRILL were slow to begin. BILL’S FLASH raced wide around the top turn. PAUA TO THRILL and SHAYLOR CRASH came together rounding the home turn.
Even start. FAMOUS REBEL raced wide around the final turn.
The greyhound TIME FOR ABBY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 3 – Maiden Heat 2 331m
Even start with LEGEND MATE slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the back straight MY SPRITE contacted the heels of CELESTIAL SELENE causing it to stumble and lose considerable ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight LEGEND MATE shifted in and made contact with NASHOTA causing this greyhound to become unbalanced and lose considerable ground.
Race 4 – Maiden Final 331m
Even start with DEAD END and FABULOUS ABBY both slow to begin. Shortly after the start FABULOUS ABBY was tightened for racing room between BELLA CRUSADER and COMET DRYVA, which resulted in FABULOUS ABBY being checked and losing considerable ground. SEIKA TICKET raced wide out of the back straight. Out of the back straight COMET DRYVA contacted the heels of FABULOUS ABBY causing it to lose some ground.
The greyhound FABULOUS ABBY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 5 – Novice 331m
PERUZZI was best to begin. ON TIGHT LINES was slow out. Rounding the turn into the front straight IBRA CADABRA clipped the heels of PERUZZI causing PERUZZI to become unbalanced. TRIPLE CROWN LAD was inconvenienced as a result of this incident.
Race 6 – Novice 331m
Even start with VALKYRIE ELLA and GOLDEN LENNY being both slow to begin. Leaving the back straight IRISH MADAM contacted the heels of GOLDEN LENNY causing both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground. VALKYRIE ELLA was checked as a result of this incident. Rounding the home turn WITCHES RICHERS shifted out and bumped TRU BLU DASH, resulting WITCHES RICHERS becoming unbalanced momentarily.
The
greyhound WITCHES RICHES was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
Race 7 – 5th Grade 395m
MISS RUCKUS and ISLAND FANTASY were both best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight MISS RUCKUS shifted in and tightened KAPALUA, causing this greyhound to become unbalanced.
Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 395m
ZABALETA was best to begin. Shortly after the start BIRKDALE BEAUTY shifted in and tightened CLASSY TOM onto MR SNEAKY SNEAKY, causing that greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight RODGER ROSE HI shifted out and made muzzle contact with I’M A BELIEVER over a considerable distance.
The greyhound RODGER ROSE HI was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. T Thompson that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all track.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start with WALLY WHO CALLS slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight CODY’S GRAND was tightened for racing room between WALLY WHO CALLS and PLUM JAM, resulting in this greyhound losing some ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight PLUM JAM contacted the heels of QUEENIES BEST which resulted in PLUM JAM falling onto the track. QUEENIES BEST was inconvenienced as a result of this incident.
The
greyhound PLUM JAM was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near
side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m
The greyhound EVIE’S ANGE was vetted pre race and passed fit to compete, and no apparent injuries were found.
DAYSEAS FREDDIE was best to begin. TOUGH LINC was slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight COSMIC TALEYA shifted in and tightened EVIE’S ANGEL, causing this greyhound to lose ground. Shortly afterwards COSMIC TALEYA continued to shift in and tightened MINERAL SANDY, causing this greyhound to lose ground. MONSIEUR CAMBLA gave ground badly in the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field. Approaching the turn out of the back straight MINERAL SANDY shifted in and contacted TOUGH LINC causing this greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground.
The
greyhound TOUGH LINC was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
The
greyhound MONSIEUR CAMBLA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to
the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks.
