VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS

 

The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhound WONDER BLUE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.96 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

The greyhound MAGIC MOUSSE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.66 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

The greyhound STRIKE A DEAL performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.91and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

The greyhound TREVON’S FURY performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.40.

 

The greyhound YOUNG DALLAS performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 331m in a time of 20.02.

 

The greyhound GLORIOUS WINTER performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 331m in a time of 20.32

 

Race 1 – Maiden 331m

Even start with ELECTRIC BUNDY and OKA’S ANGEL slowly away.  On the top turn WALLACE was wide.  Entering the home straight OKA’S ANGEL checked off the heels of TO THE LOCAL, causing these 2 greyhounds to race wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound OKA’S ANGEL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 1 331m

ALBARTROSS and DOLLY DENIM were best to begin with GERSWIN and HARA’S BLAZE slowly away.  Approaching the top turn INTERACTION, HARA’S BLAZE and LONELY ALLOVER were racing tight and bumping.  Entering the top turn HARA’S BLAZE checked off the heels of LONELY ALLOVER causing HARA’S BLAZE to falter.  On the top turn GERSWIN was wide.  In the home straight ALBARTROSS was wide.

 

The greyhound HARA’S BLAZE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Heat 2 331m

FAST CODY and BLUE JOY were best to begin with CALL ME AUSSIE slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight EPSILON and KIKEN GOLDY collided.  On the top turn and home straight EPSILON and SCREAM JET were wide.

 

Race 4 – Novice 331m

Even start with SMASH TO FEAR slowly away.  Entering the top turn MISS ELEGANCE and SUMMER’S RACER collided.  On the top turn and home straight SUMMER’S RACER and MISS ELEGANCE were wide.

 

Race 5 – Maiden Final 331m

NASHSTAR and CARAMEL DELIGHT were best to begin with PIN POINT RUFF slowly away.  Entering the top turn NASHSTAR and BLESSED BE collided causing BLESSED BE to drop back.  On the top turn PIN POINT RUFF was wide.  In the home straight BOGIE LILLY and PIN POINT RUFF were wide.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 395m

Even start.  Entering the back straight DAYSEAS ASTRA and MAGIC ANGEL collided causing MAGIC ANGEL to shift out causing KINGSBRAE LAVINA to check MAGIC ANGEL, who in turn fell.  In the back straight VICTORY PRINCE was wide.  Entering the top turn STONEBROOK checked off the heels of DAYSEAS ASTRA.  On the top turn KINGSBRAE LAVINA checked off the heels of STONEBROOK.  Approaching the finishing line KINGSBRAE LAVINA turned its head outwards marring and making muzzle contact with STONEBROOK.

 

The greyhound MAGIC ANGEL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mrs. G Dart that the greyhound KINGSBRAE LAVINA would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 395m

DAYSEAS DOLLY was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Entering the back straight WESTERN HONEY and IBRA CADABRA collided.  In the back straight NOTTA ALOTA and ISLAND FANTASY collided forcing NOTTA ALOTA wide.  On the top turn LADY CRYSTAL was wide.  In the home straight WESTERN HONEY and HARA’S LUKEY collided.

 

The greyhound ISLAND FANTASY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 395m

ZABALETA and MR SNEAKY SNEAKY were best to begin with SERIOUS JOY slowly away.  Entering the back straight NOTORIOUS LADY and YOUR DEAL collided.  In the back straight NOTORIOUS LADY was wide.  On the top turn NOTORIOUS LADY was wide.  In the home straight NOTORIOUS LADY and YOUR DEAL were wide.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m

PROVIDENCE was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Soon after the start SKYE BRIDGE and BARBARINO’S BOY collided.  On the turn into the back straight MINERAL SANDY checked off the heels of BARBARINO’S BOY, causing BARBARINO’S BOY to drop back.  In the back straight PROVIDENCE and TRU BLU DASH were wide.  Entering the top turn BARBARINO’S BOY checked off the heels of DAYSEAS COSMO.  In the home straight COLROB GIRL was wide.

 

The greyhound TRU BLU DASH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

TOTTENHAM TERROR was best to begin with BING VALE and MAGIC IT UP slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight ORE DE KAHN checked off the heels of MANYARA MISS, causing ORE DE KAHN to drop back sharply.  In the back straight MAGIC IT UP was wide.  Entering the top turn TOTTENHAM TERROR checked off the heels of MANYARA MISS.  On the top turn BING VALE checked off the heels of SHANGHAI LIL forcing BING VALE wide.  Entering the home straight MANYARA MISS and TOTTENHAM TERROR were wide.  In the home straight ORE DE KAHN was wide.
