greyhound trainer Mr. K Mackenroth reported to stewards that the greyhound had trailed
well previously at Albion Park and the greyhound had showed good early
sectional speed, recording times in a range of 7.1 to 7.15. He further explained that the greyhound was
fractious in the starting boxes on this occasion and he believed that this may
have contributed to the greyhound’s erratic start. He advised that his intentions were to improve
the greyhound’s box manners before its next race start. Stewards noted Mr. Mackenroth’s comments.

Mr. Matts added that connections did support the greyhound in this race and were disappointed with the performance. He explained that the trial the previous week may have subsequently flattened the greyhound judging from tonight’s performance.
