The greyhound LAKODA BUTTONS performed a successful satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.68.
The greyhound PERFECT SISTER performed a successful satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.47.
BELLA LEE was best to begin. Shortly after the start OKA’S ANGEL shifted out tightening EYES ON ME. Approaching the 1st turn MONKEY’S UNCLE and BELLA CRUSADER came together. Entering the turn EYES ON ME, OKA’S ANGEL, NOT TODAY MATE and LEGAL FANTASY all raced tight. Entering the home straight LEGAL FANTASY shifted out checking NOT TODAY MATE which fell and took no further competitive part in the event. OKA’S ANGEL and EYES ON ME raced tight down the running.
The greyhound NOT TODAY MATE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
KINLOCH BEACH was best to begin with SIR BLINK and COVERT AFFAIR slow. Approaching the 1st turn PROFESSOR was tightened between PINK SCISSORS and SUITE ALEXIS and lost ground. Through the 1st turn PROFESSOR improved onto the heels of SHEZA MINI SIZE and both greyhounds were checked. Entering the back straight PINK SCISSORS checked off the heels of SUITE ALEXIS. PROFESSOR was wide through the back straight. Leaving the top turn COVERT AFFAIR shifted out checking PINK SCISSORS. Down the home straight PROFESSOR shifted out and raced tight with SHEZA MINI SIZE.
Race 3 – Novice 520m
EARLY SUPER and ALPHA THESEUS were best to begin. Shortly after the start GREAT KNOCK THAT and LOCHILIME were tight. Entering the 1st turn LOCHILIME, GREAT KNOCK THAT and LATESHOW MATISSE raced tight. At the same time UNIQUE RECALL checked off the heels of EARLY SUPER. Through the 1st turn MOOMBA LIGHTS and LOCHILIME came together forcing LOCHILIME to shift out and check GREAT KNOCK THAT. A short time after GREAT KNOCK THAT checked out off the heels of LATESHOW MATISSE and lost ground.
Race 4 – 5th
Grade 520m
VELOCITY ELLE and URBAN STREET were best to begin with DON’T DOUBT ME and RATATAT slow. Through the 1st turn RATATAT shifted out off the heels of PASSIVE PROTEST. Through the top turn HER FAULT and BRODIE’S MEMORY came together and became unbalanced. Entering the home straight PASSIVE PROTEST came together with URBAN STREET forcing this greyhound to shift out and race tight with VELOCITY ELLE.
Race 5 – 5th
Grade 520m
VEUVE was best to begin. Shortly after the start FOR LUCK and FASHION GURU were tight. Down the running on the 1st occasion FASHION GURU improved onto the heels of SIR TIGER OSTI checking this greyhound and causing it to lose ground. FOR LUCK which was following was severely hampered as a result. BOGIE’S A STAR was wide through the back straight. Through the top turn FASHION GURU turned its head outwards and marred the running of PUMPY’S LUCK and both greyhounds were forced to race wide as a result. FOR LUCK which was racing to the outside was severely inconvenienced.
The greyhound SIR TIGER OSTI was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Carleton that the greyhound FASHION GURU would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 4th offence, 12 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.
Race 6 – 4/5th
Grade 520m
ASTOUND YA was best to begin with CHEEKY FREYER and HOUINDEED slow. Shortly after the start KATHIE’S FLASH and MINNIE IMPACT came together. Entering the 1st turn BAY OF SPRITE checked off the heels of KATHIE’S FLASH. Entering the back straight CHEEKY FREYER was hampered on the heels of BAY OF SPRITE. Leaving the back straight HOUINDEED checked off the heels of MADE THAT WAY and collided with ASTOUND YA.
The
greyhound CHEEKY FREYER was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days. A post
race swab sample was taken from this greyhound.
Race 7 – 5th Grade 600m
STARGATE SYSTEM was slow to begin with MAGIC KITCHEN and DEEP DESPAIR best. Through the 1st turn MISTY SANNETTE shifted in tightening SARAJEVO GIRL. Through the bottom turn SARAJEVO GIRL checked off the heels of MAGIC KITCHEN and hampered SMASHNIAK GOLD.
Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 520m
DON’T DOUBLE UP was best to begin. Shortly after the start JIMMY BRUTE checked off the heels of ROCKY BE GOOD and lost ground. Passing the winning post on the 1st occasion FORTUNE FADED was tightened between HARA’S HARRY and ROCKY BE GOOD. Through the 1st turn BE ZANEY shifted out and lost considerable ground taking no further competitive part in the event.
The
greyhound BE ZANEY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off
side hock and was humanely euthanised.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m
DARK MENACE and OKAY YETTA were slow to begin. Down the running on the 1st occasion CLASSY BARCY checked off the heels of SILKY OAK and lost ground. Passing the winning post on the 1st occasion GARRANGAY DUK shifted in tightening SIVAMET and SILKY OAK which lost ground. DARK MENACE was wide in the back straight. Approaching the top turn OKAY YETTA shifted in and made contact with the running rail and lost ground.
Race 10 – 4/5th Grade 395m
JAYDEN LASS, TOKATEE KAHN, MACY DIAMONDS and PREMIER PLAYER were all slowly away. Through the 1st turn JAYDEN LASS, TOKATEE KAHN and MACY DIAMONDS came together resulting in MACY DIAMONDS losing ground. Entering the back straight PREMIER PLAYER and SUPA SMOOTH OSTI collided and became unbalanced. Over the concluding stages PREMIER PLAYER and TOKATEE KAHN came together.
