Kennelling was kept open longer due trainers caught in traffic.

 

Race 1 – 5th Grade 520m

PUMA CLOUD was best to begin with RATATAT slowly away.  Soon after the start GATE SLINGER and ALPHA ADONIS collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight GATE SLINGER, REAL FEAR and ALPHA ADONIS all collided, causing ALPHA ADONIS to race wider on the turn.  Entering the turn out of the back straight RATATAT and DOWN THEY CAME all collided.  In the home straight GATE SLINGER was wide.

 

Race 2 – 5th Grade 520m

Even start.  Entering the turn out of the home straight SWIFT PIRATE and SWEET AS BETH collided.  Soon after GET A LIFEBOUY and SWIFT PIRATE collided causing GET A LIFEBOUY to check SENOR SOCKS.  On the turn NOT THE ONE and ROSDUE BOOMER collided with GET A LIFEBOUY racing wide.  Entering the back straight GENERAL CLOUD checked off the heels of SWEET AS BETH.  In the back straight NOT THE ONE was wide.  In the home straight NOT THE ONE was wide.

 

Race 3 – 4/5th Grade 520m

Even start with HOUINDEED slowly away. Soon after the start VELOCITY SPICE and KING ELLIOT collide. Approaching the turn out of the straight UP THE ATTITUDE crossed to the rail and checked KING ELLIOT causing KING ELLIOT to check VELOCITY SPICE,BIG DAC, OXLEY RUBEY and SINOR’S MISTRESS. On the turn out of the home straight HOUINDEED was wide. In the home straight VELOCITY SPICE was wide.

 

The greyhound UP THE ATTITUDE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SENOR’S MISTRESS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off fore webbing and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 4 – Lightning Final 331m

SUPER LUIGI and LAURYN’S BEST were best to begin with ZABALETA slowly away.  Soon after the start WESTERN ROSE and ZABALETA collided causing ZABALETA to check MAGIC ANGEL.  Entering the turn out of the back straight KNOCK FOR ME and SUPER LUIGI collided.  Entering the turn into the home straight MAGIC ANGEL and ZABALETA collided.  In the home straight WESTERN ROSE was wide.

 

The greyhound ZABALETA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – RQ Young Guns Heat 1 520m

SHEZA KEEN SIZE was best to begin with SUPER SOOK and SNAKE GULLY slowly away.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion SHEZA KEEN SIZE and MASTER CORSAIR collided.  On the turn out of the home straight SHEZA KEEN SIZE and RENOUF’S MAGIC collided.  Entering the back straight SHEZA KEEN SIZE dropped to the rear and took no further competitive part in the event.  In the back straight SNAKE GULLY was wide.  In the home straight QUEENIES BEST was wide.

 

The greyhound SHEZA KEEN SIZE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 6 - RQ Young Guns Heat 2 520m

CHIEF HASSLER was best to begin with FOR LUCK and ALPHA THESEUS slowly away.  On the turn out of the home straight ALPHA THESEUS was wide.  In the back straight ALPHA THESEUS was wide with FOR LUCK tailing off and taking no further part in the event.  On the top turn and home straight ALPHA THESEUS was wide.

 

The greyhound FOR LUCK was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 7 – RQ Young Guns Heat 3 520m

URBAN STREET was best to begin with SMART SPIRIT slowly away.  Soon after the start IMA COWBOY and WITH A GEE collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight URBAN STREET and ARISTOTLE collided forcing ARTISTOTLE wide.  In the back straight ARISTOTLE was wide.  On the turn out of the back straight SERENE STAR was wide.  In the home straight SMART SPIRIT was wide.

 

Race 8 – Best 8 520m

Even start with MPINGO and SAY SAYONARA slowly away.  On the turn out of the home straight SHERIDON and MPINGO collided.  In the back straight SHERIDON was wide with SAY SAYONARA and HOUGENIE colliding.  On the top turn SHERIDON and SAY SAYONARA collided.  In the home straight HOUGENIE was wide.  Approaching the winning post SAY SAYONARA and SHERIDON collided.

 

The greyhound SAY SAYONARA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 9 – 4/5th Grade 600m

ZIPPING SPIKE was best to begin with STARGATE SYSTEM slowly away.  Entering the home straight on the 1st occasion STARGATE SYSTEM and MAGIC KITCHEN collided with CYNDIE’S MAGIC and FAST AS wide.  On the bottom turn and back straight ZIPPING SPIKE was wide.  On the top turn STELLA NIGHTS checked off the heels of NO CALLARATAH.  Approaching the winning post ZIPPING SPIKE and CYNDIE’S MAGIC collided.

 

The greyhound NO CALLARATAH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m

ROSDUE DYNAMO was best to begin with HARA’S HARRY slowly away.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion INSPECTOR CLOUD checked off the heels of ROSDUE DYNAMO.  Entering the turn out of the home straight BAY OF SPRITE and YOUI collided forcing BAY OF SPRITE wide.  On the turn out of the home straight TASER SHOCK and BIG YELLOW TAXI collided.  In the back straight INSPECTOR CLOUD checked off the heels of ROSDUE DYNAMO causing INSPECTOR CLOUD to fall and take no further part in the event.  In the home straight LOTUS BLOSSOM was wide.

 

The greyhound INSPECTOR CLOUD was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
