The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 9 REAL FEAR Marring, 1st offence, 28 days + satisfactory stewards’ trial
520m all tracks
Even start. Shortly after the start KINLOCH BEACH shifted in and tightened the racing room of BELLA LEE and VELOCITY HILDA. In the front straight GLENALLON ZULU shifted in tightening the room of SNOWBALL BAZZA and CARE TO DANCE which resulted in both these greyhounds colliding over some distance and were severely checked. Rounding the turn out of the back straight GLENALLON ZULU shifted out hampering BELLA LEE resulting in both greyhounds racing wide.
The
greyhound VELOCITY HILDA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
VEUVE was best to begin. Rounding the turn out of the front straight RATATAT and LARA SAINT came together resulting in both greyhounds to being checked and to have lost ground. MISTY SANNETTE was inconvenienced as a result of this incident. In the back straight MASTER CORSAIR checked off the heels of MISTY SANNETTE and lost some ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight CHEVALEIR NUIT was checked when racing tight to the inside of ISSY COOL and lost some ground. Leaving the back straight ISSY COOL checked off the heels of LARA SAINT and lost some ground.
Race 3 – 5th
Grade 520m
LADY SPRING was best to begin. Shortly after the start BRALYN BAUPLE was tightened for racing room and was checked and became unbalanced and lost momentum. Rounding the turn into the back straight DOWN THEY CAME checked off the heels of IVAN ELROY and lost momentum. Shortly afterwards DOWN THEY CAME shifted out and checked ALPHA ADONIS causing both greyhounds to race wide. Rounding the turn into the front straight ENDLESS SHADOW shifted out which hampered IN THE PICTURE.
Race 4 – 4/5th
Grade 520m
DON’T GO QUIETLY was best to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front straight WAR PICTURE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight OH THAT’S NICE and HOUINDEED bumped.
Race 5 – 3/4th
Grade 520m
RENATUS was best to begin. Shortly after the start MAIN STORY was tightened for racing room and lost momentum. Approaching the turn out of the front straight VELOCITY SPICE was checked when MAIN STORY contacted its heels resulting in both greyhounds being checked. Shortly afterwards DASHING CANUTE was checked as a result of this incident, DASHING CANUTE then shift out and make contact with KIDATEE CROC, causing both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground. TITAN ASH was checked as a result of this incident and lost valuable ground. DASHING CANUTE failed to complete the event after retiring in the back straight.
The
greyhound DASHING CANUTE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
stomach muscles and was stood down for a period of 21 days.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade 600m
CHEEKY CHANCE and APATITE were best to begin. Approaching the turn into the front straight COSMIC BOSS was hampered when CHEEKY CHANCE shifted in. In the back straight COSMIC BOSS was hampered when THIS TIME REBA shifted in. Entering the front straight CHEEKY CHANCE was hampered when COSMIC BOSS shifted in.
The greyhound COSMIC BOSS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – RQ Young Gun Final 520m
RENOUF’S MAGIC and SIMPATICO were best to begin. Rounding the turn out of the front straight KNOCKER shifted out which carried RENOUF’S MAGIC, CASH IN MOTION and SMART SPIRIT wider on the track. Approaching the turn into the back straight TOBIAS RUMBLE checked off the heels of RENOUF’S MAGIC. Leaving the back straight KNOCKER shifted out and carried CERVELO wider on the track.
The
greyhound TOBIAS RUMBLE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
Race 8 – 1/2nd Grade 520m
MINER’S MOSS was best to begin. FABULOUS STORM and LADY ABIGAIL were slow out. Shortly after the start SHERIDON was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight FABULOUS STORM shifted out and bumped LADY ABIGAIL.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m
ALPHA THESEUS was best to begin. DIRTY DESSA and GENERAL CLOUD were slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front straight REAL FEAR was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Shortly afterwards REAL FEAR shifted out and made contact with DIRTY DESSA causing both greyhounds to be checked. In the back straight and again rounding the home turn ALPHA THESEUS raced wide. In the run to the finish REAL FEAR turned its head and made muzzle contact with SLAYER RETURN.
Stewards advised trainer Mr. K Gibb that the greyhound REAL FEAR would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m
OXLEY RUBEY and BIG DAC were best to begin. COLD HARD TRUTH and TEXAS TEE were slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front straight SPANISH QUEEN was tightened for racing room and stumbled and fell taking no further competitive part in the event. BIG DAC was severely checked as a result of this incident. Shortly afterwards WITH A GEE which was trailing shifted out and made contact with COLD HARD TRUTH causing that greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight LOVE KILLS and SWEET AS BETH came together resulting in SWEET AS BETH being checked and losing momentum. Rounding the turn out of the back straight SWEET AS BETH shifted out and made contact with LOVE KILLS causing both greyhounds to be checked and lose valuable ground.
The greyhound SPANISH QUEEN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
The greyhound SWEET AS BETH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
