The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

The greyhound BEAU JILLEM performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.70.
Even start. Shortly after the start KELTIC CHIEF was tightened for racing room and checked losing considerable ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight TRAV’S HOPE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost momentum.
The
greyhound KELTIC CHIEF was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
near side hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
GAMINE, ONE ZERO SEVEN and MY PEN LI were best to begin. Shortly after the start SPRING PUZZLE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight SPRING PUZZLE clipped the heels of LA CHASE RAPIDO and lost ground.

3 – Novice 331m
Even start. SMASH TO FEAR and OUR ISLAND HOME were slow to begin. Shortly after the start LAKODA ZIPPER shifted in and tightened the racing room of CASEY UNDERCOVER which resulted in CASEY UNDERCOVER coming into contact with the hind legs of LAKODA ZIPPER, resulting in both greyhounds being checked. Shortly afterwards CASEY UNDERCOVER came into contact with SMASH TO FEAR causing it to be checked and to lose ground. In the back straight CASSIOPEIA and HYDROGEN were tightened for racing room and lost ground.

4 – Novice 331m
SHEZA HUGGER and DEE BEE TEN were best to begin. GARDA BLUE raced wide leaving the back straight.
The greyhound BAILEY’S SPIRIT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Mr. J Menary the trainer explained that BAILEY’S SPIRIT has limited ability and when it missed the start he was of the view that this was the main contributing factor to the greyhound’s performance today. He stated that BAILEY’S SPIRIT was returning to racing from injury having its previous run on 19 June 2015 and is now expecting the greyhound to improve however he may look for easier racing for him. Stewards noted his explanation.
The greyhound TIPCONDEROGA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Ms. L Green the trainer explained that in her view the greyhound did not handle the Albion Park circuit and it will be her intention not to race the greyhound at Albion Park in the future. Stewards noted her explanation.

5 – Maiden Final 331m
Even start. Rounding the turn out of the back straight DESPICABLE JAZZ clipped the heel of COSMIC LAPTOP causing it to be hampered. Rounding the turn into the front straight EXCITED HAWK and BOGAN BABE bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.

6 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start. Approaching the turn into the back straight DAVID’S MEMORY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after DASHING JILLIE contacted the heels of HARRY HUCKLEBUCK which resulted in both greyhounds being checked. HARRY HUCKLEBUCK pulled up in the back straight and failed to complete the race.
The
greyhound HARRY HUCKLEBUCK was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to
the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks.

7 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start. DIRTY DESSA and FAST BEAN were slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight FAST BEAN was tightened for racing room and lost some ground. Shortly after FAST BEAN shifted down and tightened the racing room of DIRTY DESSA causing that greyhound to be checked and lost ground.

8 – 4/5th Grade 395m
Even start. Shortly after the start SHAYLOR DOM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after HOW MUCH was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight DIAMOND OSPREY contacted the heels of RITZA ROMAN causing DIAMOND OSPREY to be checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight BOGIE LILLY came into contact with RITZA ROMAN and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight HOW MUCH and BOGIE LILLY collided resulting in BOGIE LILLY to be severely checked and lose ground. HOW MUCH was checked as a result of this incident.
The greyhound BOGIE LILLY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

9 – 5th Grade Final 395m
Even start. Approaching the turn into the back straight CELTIC COLLEEN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leading into the back straight BLUE DEN contacted the heels of JOHNATHAN’S HOPE causing JOHNATHAN’S HOPE to be checked and lose ground. INCANDESCENT was hampered as a result of this incident. In the back straight CELTIC COLLEEN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the home turn KAWASAKI ROSE shifted out which hampered SINDARYN.

MY BLACK LORIAN and MASTER CODY were best to begin. TEXAS TEE, BING VALE and JAKE VALE were slow to begin. JAKE VALE raced wide in the back straight.
