The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhound SMART ILLUSION performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.39 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.

 

The greyhound HEZA CLASSY SIZE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.52.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 395m

SUPREME HUSTLER was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Soon after the start BULK TOOTH BUCKY and PANTS PIRATE collided.  Entering the back straight PELVIS PRIZZLEY and PANTS PIRATE collided causing PANTS PIRATE to check HARA’S HAWK with PANTS PIRATE dropping back checking SHAYLOR HULA, causing SHAYLOR HULA to check BULK TOOTH BUCKY, causing BULK TOOTH BUCKY to race wide.  On the top turn PELVIS PRIZZLEY was wide.  In the home straight SHAYLOR HULA was wide.

 

The greyhound BULK TOOTH BUCKY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race2 – Maiden Heat 1 395m

HARA’S WHOSH and WINGS OF PERLITA were best to begin with BEELYU ARMAGH slowly away.  Entering the back straight HARA’S WHOSH checked off the heels of BELLA CRUSADER checked off the heels of WINGS OF PERLITA causing HARA’S WHOSH to check BELLA CRUSADER.  In the back straight LAKODA BUTTONS checked off the heels of BELLA CRUSADER causing LAKODA BUTTONS to check BEELYU ARMAGH.  On the top turn BELLA CRUSADER checked off the heels of SHAYLOR PAUL.  In the home straight NINA ROSE HI was wide.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Final 395,

BEST STRATEGY and SHAYLOR NATHAN were best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Soon after the start SHAYLOR TOMMY crossed and checked EPSILON and SLOW COACH.  In the back straight HAZY GAZE and ETERNAL SPRING collided.  On the top turn SHAYLOR TOMMY checked off the heels of HAZY GAZE.  In the home straight ETERNAL SPRING turned its head inwards and marred BEST STRATEGY with EPSILON wide.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. L Meteyard that the greyhound ETERNAL SPRING would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

 

Race 4 – Novice 395m

Even start.  Soon after the start SMASHNIAK MARS and SKITTISH EXPRESS collided.  On the turn into the back straight ROYAL HOTEL and SHAKIRA BELLA collided causing SHAKIRA BELLA to drop back checking SHAYLOR MONTANA, causing those 2 greyhounds to take no further competitive part in the event.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight SMASHNIAK MARS and IMPOSSIBLE collided.  In the home straight IMPOSSIBLE was wide.

 

The greyhound SHAYLOR MONTANA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade Heat 1 395m

Even start with SNAKE GULLY slowly away.  Soon after the start TRAV’S HOPE and SNAKE GULLY collided.  Entering the back straight SIR BAZZ ATTACK and SPRING PLANET collided.  Entering the top turn SNAKE GULLY and TWO SIZE’S ALL collided.  In the home straight BELLA BEE was wide.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade Heat 1 395m

STICKS ROSE HI and HOOROO OLLIE were best to begin with BRALYN BAUPLE slowly away.  Entering the back straight STICKS ROSE HI and HOOROO OLLIE collided causing HOOROO OLLIE to check WALLOON SMARTIE, who in turn checked MINNIE’S HOPE.  In the back straight STANDOUT was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight HOOROO OLLIE checked off the heels of STICKS ROSE HI causing HOOROO OLLIE to check BRALYN BAUPLE.  Entering the home straight WALLOON SMARTIE and MINNIE’S HOPE collided.  In the home straight STANDOUT was wide.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Heat 1 395m

PREMIER PLAYER was best to begin with DIRTY DESSA slowly away.  Entering the back straight SHEZA HUGGER checked off the heels of MIRANDA ROSE HI, causing MIRANDA ROSE HI to race wide.  In the home straight MIRANDA ROSE HI and CARIBBEAN JET were wide.

 

The greyhound SHEZA HUGGER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 395m

KNOCK FOR ME was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Soon after the start CLASSY TOM and ANJA collided.  Entering the back straight FASHION ADVICE and INTILACH collided causing INTILACH to check MILLIE’S COMET, who in turn checked CLOUD LAND.  Entering the turn out of the back straight MILLIE’S COMET checked off the heels of CLASSY TOM.  On the top turn FASHION ADVICE was wide.  In the home straight KNOCK FOR ME was wide.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 4 395m

MISS ELEGANCE, FEARLESS DUK and ALBARTROSS were best to begin with EXPRESS LEO and TRAV’S MAGIC slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight EXPRESS LEO, MANYARA MISS and FEARLESS DUK were all racing tight and bumping causing MANYARA MISS to drop back.  In the back straight OBIN TOMMY was wide.  On the top turn ALBARTROSS was wide in the home straight.  OBIN TOMMY was wide.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

MAHALIA and SWITCH BLADE were best to begin with TRIPLE CROWN LAD and MR. CODY slowly away.  In the back straight ADAM’S ANGEL checked off the heels of WESTERN HONEY causing ADAM’S ANGEL to drop back causing ON TIGHT LINES to check off the heels of ADAM’S ANGEL, causing ON TIGHT LINES to fall checking TRIPLE CROWN LAD.  Entering the turn out of the back straight WESTERN HONEY checked off the heels of KLOEIS PRIDE.  In the home straight ADAM’S ANGEL was wide.

 

The greyhound ON TIGHT LINES was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
