Race 1 – Novice 520m

RICH ‘N’ WILD was best to begin with HOUDINI HI slowly away.  Soon after the start FINITO and DASH OF FAITH collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight MY SPRITE and BOOTY BEACH collided causing BOOTY BEACH to check SHOTOTUSU causing BOOTY BEACH to fall.  On the turn out of the home straight GEORGE GALLON and SHOTOTSU collided.  In the back and home straights GEORGE GALLON was wide.

 

The greyhound BOOTY BEACH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – 5th Grade 520m

GRIN AND WIN and DON’T DOUBLE UP were best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight CRACKING CAZA checked off the heels of INDIANA RUMBLE.  In the back straight TRAP MAN was wide.  In the home straight INDIANA RUMBLE was wide.

 

The greyhound INDIANE RUMBLE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 520m

Even start with ALPAH ADONIS slowly away.  Soon after the start ALPHA ADONIS and DARCY’S CURSE collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight ALPHA ADONIS and RATATAT collided.  Entering the back straight WHITE MARLIN and DARCY’S CURSE collided forcing DARCY’S CURSE wide into the back straight.  In the home straight ALPHA ADONIS was wide.

 

The greyhound DARCY’S CURSE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 520m

LACHIE LYNDAN was best to begin with LIL’ BIT SPARKY and SPRINT FIRECHIEF slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight SHANAE’S MAGIC and SPRING FIRECHIEF collided.  On the turn out of the home straight YOUR DEAL and WESTERN DAVE collided causing WESTERN DAVE to drop back sharply.  In the back straight SPRING FIRECHIEF was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight SPRING FIRECHIEF checked off the heels of TRENTY’S ROSE.  In the home straight SPRING FIRECHIEF was wide.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 520m

BIRKDALE BEAUTY and HOPE’S MAGIC were best to begin with SWEET AS BETH and PEARLS ANGEL slowly away.  Approaching the winning post PEARLS ANGEL and UP THE ATTITUDE collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight YADA YADA YADA and SWEET AS BETH collided causing YADA YADA YADA to drop back checking MADE THAT WAY.  In the back straight BULL TITAN and SWEET AS BETH collided.  On the top turn and home straight PEARLS ANGEL was wide.

 

The greyhound MADE THAT WAY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SWEET AS BETH was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind foot and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 520m

MINCIN’ MACHINE and SENOR’S MISTRESS were best to begin with BIG DAC and GENERAL CLOUD slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight HOUINDEED, SENOR’S MISTESS and OXLEY RUBEY all collided.  On the turn out of the home straight VEUVE and GENERAL CLOUD collided.  In the back straight GENERAL CLOUD was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight OXLEY RUBEY checked off the heels of HOUINDEED.  In the home straight GENERAL CLOUD was wide.

 

The greyhound HOUINDEED was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 600m

MAGIC KITCHEN was best to begin with FAST AS and MINNIE IMPACT slowly away.  Soon after the start EGYPTIAN LASS and MINNIE IMPACT collided.  In the home straight on the 1st occasion ZIPPING SPIKE and MINNIE IMPACT collided causing ZIPPING SPIKE to drop back sharply.  On the turn out of the home straight ZIPPING SPIKE was wide.  On the turn out of the back straight EGYPTIAN LASS checked off the heels of CYNDIE’S SPECIAL causing CYNDIE’S SPECIAL to drop back.  In the home straight MINNIE IMPACT was wide.

 

The greyhound ZIPPING SPIKE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 8 – Best 8 520m

Even start with YOUI and SWIFT PIRATE slowly away.  Soon after the start ANNIE BENZ shifted out checking GRAND ROMAN, FULL OF ATTITUDE and INSPECTOR CLOUD causing FULL OF ATTITUDE to falter and drop back sharply.  Entering the turn out of the home straight ANNIE BENZ and GRAND ROMAN collided.  On the turn into the back straight SWIFT PIRATE was wide.  In the home straight INSPECTOR CLOUD was wide.

 

The greyhound FULL OF ATTTITUDE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m

Prior to the running of this race FLASH ZOE was a late scratching on vet’s advice due to the storm conditions.

 

NO CALLARATAH was best to begin with SMOKING PAWS slowly away.  On the turn out of the home straight IMA COWBOY, NEVER ENDS and SMOKING PAWS all collided.  Entering the turn out of the back straight SMOKING PAWS checked off the heels of IMA COWBOY.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m

SHANIA SIND was best to begin with ALLEZ DE BRAVE and DEEP DESPAIR slowly away.  On the turn out of the home straight TASER SHOCK checked off the heels of ALLEZ DE BRAVE causing TASER SHOCK to check MOCHA LATTE.  On the turn into the back straight TASER SHOCK and MOCHA LATTE collided.  In the back and home straights MOCHA LATTE was wide.
