GENERAL

 

The greyhound MADAM MEDUSA performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.82 and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane until after 22 November 2015.

 

The greyhound LEADFOOT EXPRESS performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.37.

 

The greyhound SPIT IT OUT performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.63

 

Trainer Mr. R Burman was fined $100 under Rule 86 (f) (4) for improper conduct towards an official.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Final 520m

ERIN’S OWN was slow to begin.  Shortly after PREPARE YOURSELF was tightened for room losing its position.  Into the 1st turn ERIN’S OWN improved onto the heels of GOOD YEAR resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  Out of the 1st turn CAN OF SPRITE shifted in tightening the running of PREPARE YOURSELF which was checked and shifted out making contact with CIGAR SAM, resulting in CIGAR SAM becoming unbalanced.  Rounding the home turn ERIN’S OWN was checked off the heels of HONEY MAREE.

 

Race 2 – Novice 520m

Even start.  Shortly after I’M A BLUE, TREVON’S FURY and JUST BE GUN were all tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Into the 1st turn I’M A BLUE was forced wider.

 

Race 3 – 0 – 3 wins 600m

SIVAMET was best to begin.  Into the 1st turn WICKED QUEEN was tightened for room and lost ground.  GALWAY GALE and WICKED QUEEN raced wide for the majority of the event.  Through the home turn STILL COUNTING was checked from heels and lost ground.  Over the final stages AUSSIE ALI was held up for clear racing room.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 520m

TOURMALINE was best to begin.  Approaching the home turn EL CHAD was tightened for room and lost ground.  IN THE PICTURE and SUNNYSIDE JAY raced wide throughout.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 520m

RATATAT was best to begin.  CLASSY BARCY and MISS HUSSY were slowest to begin.  Into the 1st turn PACIFIC CHAMP and HEEZA PICTURE both raced wide and continued to race wide from that point.  Through the 1st turn RATATAT was checked off heels and shifted wider making contact with SUPER SOOK, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  Rounding the home turn RATATAT was checked off heels.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 600m

PICTURES PEARCE and TEXAS TEE were slowest to begin.  Into the 1st turn PICTURES PEARCE, WAR PICTURE and NOT LIKE TOMMY all raced tight resulting in WAR PICTURE being checked and losing significant ground.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Final 520m

Even start.  Approaching the 1st turn DENZEL BENZ was tightened for room.  Racing through the catching pen ALPHA THESEUS raced wide from the catching pen throughout the whole race.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 520m

CARDIAC KING was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn DON’T DOUBLE UP improved onto the heels of SPECIAL GIRIL resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  RUM RAMBLER raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m

BOUNDING AFFAIR was slow to begin.  Through the catching pen STARTIN’ MONDAY and NEVER ENDS raced wide.  In the run to the finish MERCEDES LASS and SMASHNIAK GOLD were wide.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m

SMOKING PAWS and DOUBLE STORM were slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn JIMMY BRUTE was tightened for room and lost its position.  Out of the 1st turn JIMMY BRUTE was checked off the heels of YOUR DEAL.  JIMMY BRUTE raced wide the majority.
