GENERAL

 

The greyhound SHAYLOE CLEDUS performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.25 and now cleared all tracks.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 395m

AWESOME LARRY was best to begin with TALEYA and ROADHOUSE GIRL slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight IZZY ELECTRIC and ROADHOUSE GIRL collided.  In the back straight GLEN’S PRINCESS and THAIDAY NIGHT were wide.  In the home straight GLEN’S PRINCESS and THAIDAY NIGHT were wide.

 

The greyhound GLEN’S PRINCESS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 395m

Even start with SWEET TALK and DUSTY WAY slowly away.  Soon after the start BOEHRINGER and WHAT A GUN collided.  Entering the back straight DUSTY WAY and WHAT A GUN collided with KIALLA checking off the heels of CHA CHA GEM causing KIALLA to drop back checking BEST STRATEGY and SWEET TALK.  Entering the turn out of the back straight SWEET TALK was checked off the heels of BOEHRINGER.  On the top turn DUSTY WAY checked off the heels of WHAT A GUN.  Entering the home straight DUSTY WAY and BOEHRINGER collided.  Approaching the winning post BEST STRATEGY and SWEET TALK collided.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Final 395m

Even start.  Soon after the start SIDE STEP GARY and BOOM WARRIOR collided causing BOOM WARRIOR to check HARA’S BRACELET.  Entering the turn into the back straight SIDE STEP GARY checked off the heels of BOOM WARRIOR.  In the back straight GLEBE KID was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight VASELIUS checked off the heels of CORNELIA FLO.  On the turn out of the back straight GLEBE KID was wide with CORY’S DIAMOND checking off the heels of HARA’S HAWK causing HARA’S HAWK to drop back sharply taking no further competitive part in the event.  Entering the home straight CORNELIA FLO and BOOM WARRIOR collided with GLEBE KID wide.

 

The greyhound HARA’S HAWK was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – Novice 395m

Even start.  Soon after the start PREMIER JET checked off the heels of CURIOUS STYLE.  Entering the back straight SKITTISH EXPRESS checked off the heels of OUR MAGIC BOY causing OUR MAGIC BOY to check CURIOUS STYLE and KIMAHRI RONSO.  In the back straight OUR MAGIC BOY checked off the heels of SPRITLY LADY.  Entering the top turn SKITTISH EXPRESS and CURIOUS STYLE collided causing CURIOUS STYLE to check KIMAHRI RONSO.  Entering the home straight ALPHA MIMOS was wide.  Approaching the finishing line CATWALK SHOW LEE and OUR MAGIC BOY collided.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 395m

SWITCHIN’ SIDES and ANTI AMIGO were best to begin with TOKATEE KAHN slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight MOZZARELLA checked off the heels of SMASH TO FEAR.  In the back straight EPSILON was wide.  On the top turn BELLA BEE and EPSILON collided forcing EPSILON wide.  In the home straight EPSILON was wide.

 

The greyhound EPSILON was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 395m

Even start with SPRING CALIBER and COSMIC TALEYA slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight COSMIC TALEYA checked off the heels of SPRING CALIBER causing COSMIC TALEYA to check WAZZ’S FANTASY.  In the back straight ADAM’S ANGEL was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight MR. WOODS checked off the heels of SWITCH BLADE.  In the home straight ADAM’S ANGEL and ITALIAN MAGIC were wide.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Final 395m

Even start with THRILLA MOMENT stumbling at the start.  Entering the turn into the back straight ALBARTROSS checked off the heels of ON TIGHT LINES.  In the back straight IBRA CADABRA, FEAR THE RECALL and ROYAL PRIZE all collided causing IBRA CADABRA to take no further part in the event forcing FEAR THE RECALL wide.  Entering the top turn ROYAL PRIZE checked off the heels of ALBARTROSS.  Entering the home straight ROYAL PRIZE and CHADOR KAHN collided with FEAR THE RECALL wide.

 

The greyhound IBRA CADABRA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the stomach muscles and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

 

Race 8 – 1/2nd Grade 395m

WAZZA KING was best to begin with KID SHELLEEN slowly away.  Entering the back straight MODERN MISS and ELIRA JANE collided.  In the back straight KID SHELLEEN was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight ELIRA JANE checked off the heels of VEUVE.  In the home straight KID SHELLEEN was wide.

 

Race 9 – 3/4th Grade 395m

MAGIC ANGEL, PREMIER PLAYER and CUZZY BROMAC were best to begin with ANGELIC MISS and FASHION ADVICE slowly away.  Entering the back straight CLOUD LAND checked off the heels of MISS ELEGANCE causing CLOUD LAND to check ANGELIC MISS with CLOUD LAND taking no further competitive part in the event.  In the back straight FASHION ADVICE was wide.  Entering the turn into the home straight STICKS ROSE HI checked off the heels of ANGELIC MISS, causing STICKS ROSE HI to take no further part in the event.  In the home straight FASHION ADVICE was wide.

 

The greyhound CLOUD LAND was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanised.

 

The greyhound STICKS ROSE HI was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore and was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

YADA YADA YADA was best to begin with OBIN TOMMY slowly away.  Soon after the start OBIN TOMMY, MR SNEAKY SNEAKY and ERIC ROSE HI all collided.  Entering the back straight ERIC ROSE HI and MAGIC MOVER collided.  In the back straight MAGIC MOVER was wide.  Entering the top turn ERIC ROSE HI and MAGIC MOVER collided.  In the home straight REDDY RANGER was wide.
