The greyhound STORM RAIDER performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.65.
The greyhound SPARLING SHELL performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.90.
The greyhound COMFORT THE BULL performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.84.
Even start with LA CHASE RAPIDE marginally slow to begin. ROMEO RAGTOP was slow to begin. ROADHOUSE GIRL was tightened for racing room and lost ground prior to entering the back straight. PANTS PIRATE was tightened for racing room entering the back straight and lost some ground. PANTS PIRATE checked across the heels of SHAYLOR JOE and lost ground on the turn into the front straight. LADY STARGAZER raced wide in the front straight. ROADHOUSE GIRL and LA CHASE RAPIDE bumped on the front straight.
HENDERSON BLACK was best to begin. TALEYA was slow to begin. BEAR was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start. ATOMIC ACE improved onto the heels of LONG LONG MOCHA entering the back straight, resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. BEAR raced wide on the turn out of the back straight bumping TALEYA, resulting in that greyhound becoming unbalanced and racing wide. BEAR shifted out in the front straight and checked across the heels of TALEYA.
Race 3 – Novice 331m
Even start. LAKODA BUTTONS and SMUGGUMS bumped approaching the turn out of the back straight. MISS BECKY SAM raced wide into the front straight. SMUGGUMS and MACY DIAMONDS bumped entering the front straight.
Race 4 – Novice 331m
Even start with BOB EFFECTS slow to begin. IMA TALENT was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start. BOB EFFECTS and ZOEY DALTON bumped in the back straight. FOXIE UNDERCOVER checked off the heels of BOB EFFECTS and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to LADY DYNAMO. ZOEY DALTON checked across the heels of BOB EFFECTS on the turn into the front straight.
Race 5 – Maiden Final 331m
Even start with NIGHT’S WATCH and COSMIC LAPTOP marginally slow to begin. NIGHT’S WATCH checked off the heels of EARLY SHIRLEY and became unbalanced and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to DOTHRAKI and DON’T KNOCK PAT.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade 331m
Even start. FABRICATED was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start. FABRICATED checked off the heels of COSMIC TALEYA and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight. FABRICATED checked across the heels of COSMIC TALEYA on the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. DISMANTLE and BLUE LEXUS bumped entering the front straight.
The greyhound FABRICATED was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 395m
Even start. TRAV’S MAGIC checked off the heels of ALBARTROSS and lost ground shortly after the start. URBAN STREET checked off the heels of ELIRA JANE and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. MISS RUCKUS checked off the heels of ALBARTROSS and lost ground entering the back straight. VICTORY PINCE raced wide in the back straight. TRAV’S MAGIC checked off the heels of URBAN STREET on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. SPANKY’S LEGEND and TRAV’S MAGIC bumped in the front straight resulting in TRAV’S MAGIC becoming unbalanced and losing ground. MISS RUCKUS raced wide in the front straight.
Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 395m
THRILLA MOMENT was best to begin. MIGHTY OAK was marginally slow to begin. General tightening occurred shortly after the start resulting in CUZZY BROMAC and MIGHTY OAK losing ground. MAGIC ANGEL checked off the heels of MODERN MISS and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to WAZZ’S FANTASY. On the turn into the back straight SWEET AS BETH checked off the heels of WAZZ’S FANTASY and lost ground back onto MAGIC ANGEL. CUZZY BROMAC raced wide in the back straight. MIGHTY OAK checked across the hindquarters of OAKEY PARK on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground. SWEET AS BETH and MAGIC ANGEL bumped approaching the turn out of the back straight.
The greyhound OAKEY PARK was vetted and found
to have suffered an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down for a period
of 10 days.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start with OAKEY SMOKEY slow to begin. MASTER CORSAIR checked off the heels of LEADFOOT JODY and lost ground shortly after the start. MIGHTY ALICE checked off the heels of LEADFOOT JODY and lost ground back onto MIRANDA ROSE HI on the turn into the back straight. MR. WOODS was tightened for racing room prior to entering the back straight and checked off the heels of MACARENA MISS resulting in MR. WOODS losing considerable ground. MIRANDA ROSE HI checked off the heels of OAKEY SMOKEY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in interference to MR. WOODS. MR. WOODS shifted out in the front straight bumping OAKEY SMOKEY and forcing that greyhound to race wide. MACARENA MISS raced wide in the front straight.
The greyhound MR. WOODS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start with PURE BEAUTY slow to begin. HIGHLIFE checked off the heels of REGATTA and lost ground shortly after the start. MIDNIGHT HAYZE checked off the heels of EXPRESS LEO and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to PURE BEAUTY. HIGHLIFE raced wide in the back straight.
Race 11 – Master 395m
Even start. BLUE DEN was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start. SPIT IT OUT shifted in approaching the turn into the back straight tightening SUDOKU REBEL in onto WONDER BLUE, in turn onto HOLLYWOOD HEARTS in turn onto BLUE DEN, resulting in all those greyhounds being tightened for racing room and losing considerable ground. ZIPPING MANI also suffered some inconvenience as a result. SUDOKU REBEL raced wide in the back straight. NORTHERNETTE and ZIPPING MANI bumped on the turn into the front straight. NORTHERNETTE raced wide in the front straight.
The greyhound SPIT IT OUT was vetted and found
to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period
of 10 days.
