The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhound MALI COVEK performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m is a time of 30.25 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks except Ipswich and after 28 December 2015.

 

The greyhound MUTTON performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 331m in a time of 20.04.

 

The greyhound NATES FIRST failed a Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 331m.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Final 520m

CAN OF SPRITE was best to begin.  DEAD END was slow out.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight CYNO GENERAL clipped the heels of LEIGH’S MIMSEAL and fell as a consequence.

 

The greyhound CYNO GENERAL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Novice 520m

DASH OF FAITH was best to begin.  SPECIAL VISION was slow out.  In the back straight SMART ILLUSION shifted out and made muzzle contact with UNIQUE RECALL.  In the front straight SMART ILLUSION shifted in and made muzzle contact with DASH OF FAITH.

 

Stewards advised trainer’s representative  Mr. P Quarrell that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd offence, 3 months + satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 520m

CIGAR SAM, LARINA LEE, DOOGAL and SHELIA DOOLEY were best to begin.  PROUD AS PUNCH was slow out.  Leaving the front straight PROUD AS PUNCH momentarily stumbled after clipping heels of JUST SPIFFING.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight LARINA LEE was momentarily tightened for racing room.

 

The greyhound LARINA LEE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 520m

TRIPUM was best to begin.  Shortly after the start GEORGE GALLON was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight GEORGE GALLON and GEE MAA collided.  Approaching the turn into the back straight SMASHNIAK CLASS and DOOLEY’S PRIDE collided resulting in SMASHNIAK CLASS being severely checked.  NOT TODAY MATE and SIVAMET were checked as a result of this incident.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight SMASHNIAK CLASS was tightened for racing room.  Shortly after NOT TODAY MATE clipped the heels of GEE MAA.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 520m

CHEVALEIR NUIT was best to begin.  CHADOR KAHN was slow out.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight MERCEDES LASS raced in restricted room, tightened and lost some ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight LOCKET IN TEDDY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after WHIRLY WAY and CHADOR KAHN bumped.  Leaving the back straight LADY CORSAIR, WHIRLY WAY and CHADOR KAHN raced tight resulting in each greyhound being checked to varying degrees.  Approaching the turn into the front straight LADY CORSAIR was tightened for racing room, checked and lost momentum.  WHIRLY WAY was checked as a result of this incident.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 520m

KATHIE’S FLASH and AZARIAH were best to begin.  ALPHA ADONIS was slow out.  In the front straight on the 1st occasion CHEEKY FREYER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight CHEEKY CHANCE was again tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight KATHIE’S FLASH shifted out and made contact with the heels of AZARIAH, which resulted in KATHIE’S FLASH being checked losing considerable ground and taking no further competitive part in the race.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight CHEEKY CHANCE contacted the heels of INSIDE PASS.

 

The greyhound KATHIE’S FLASH was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 600m

SERENE STAR and WINZAR were best to begin.  Approaching the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion RATATAT and           WINZAR collided.  Rounding the turn into the back straight WINZAR was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  GALWAY GALE commenced to give ground after leaving the front straight and took no further competitive part in the race.

 

The greyhound GALWAY GALE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 520m

MY SPRITE displaced its muzzle after being placed in the boxes.  TORQUE FLIGHT was best to begin.  I’M ALL STRIPES was slow out.  Leaving the back straight IRINKA SHANE contacted the heels of ROCKY BE GOOD, was checked and lost ground.  Shortly after OUR CHALLENGE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m

SHYAN YAHOO was best to begin.  MASTER CODY and MISS GLENREAGH were slow out.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight PEBBLE BAY and GOOD GIRL JANICE collided resulting in GOOD GIRL JANICE falling and taking no further competitive part and PEBBLE BAY being severely checked and losing considerable ground.

 

The greyhound GOOD GIRL JANICE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 4/5th Grade 395m

Even start.  BRALYN BAUPLE was tightened for racing room shortly after the start.  Approaching the turn into the back straight JAYDEN LASS, BRALYN BAUPLE and MUMMA’S HOPE were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leading into the back straight EL MALAMUTE and PREMIER PLAYER bumped.  Leaving the back straight EL MALAMUTE contacted the heels of VEE ROCKET and was hampered.  Rounding the turn into the front straight JAYDEN LASS shifted out and bumped SPRING MORNING.  PREMIER PLAYER gave ground in the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound PREMIER PLAYER was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 21 days.
