The greyhound BIG EASY RED performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.16 and is now cleared all tracks.
BLISS BOMB, CYNO GENERAL, SLAINTE and GOLD DIVA were all slow to begin. Approaching the 1st turn MIDNIGHT BLISS shifted across heels to obtain clear running. Through the 1st turn CYNO GENERAL improved onto the heels of BLISS BOMB becoming awkward and losing ground. SLAINTE which was following was inconvenienced in this incident. Approaching the back turn CYNO STEIN checked off the heels of GOLD DIVA and lost ground. Over the final stages GOLD DIVA marred the running of UNIQUE KALEESI. MIDNIGHT BLISS which was racing to the outside became unbalanced.
Stewards advised trainer Ms. K Hoggan that the greyhound GOLD DIVA would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.
KAHUNA WEST, CYNO KING and CARTEL QUEEN were all slow to begin. Shortly after GLENALLON ZULU shifted out bumping DARCYS FANTASY, resulting in DARCYS FANTASY losing its position. Approaching the back turn SHELIA DOOLEY was tightened and lost ground. Over the final stages DARCYS FANTASY checked across the heels of WINDORAH JACK becoming severely unbalanced.
The greyhound KAHUNA WEST was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Carleton that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 3rd offence, 12 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.
Race 3 – 0 – 3 Wins 600m
Even start. Shortly after WINZAR was tightened and lost its position. Into the 1st turn SKETCHY AIMY clipped the heels of JUST SPIFFING and fell taking no further competitive part in the event. LOCKET IN TEDDY raced wide for the majority.
The greyhound SKETCHY AIMY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 4 – 5th
Grade Heat 1 520m
SPRITLY LADY and STILL COUNTING were slow to begin. Approaching the 1st turn MALI
COVEK, SPRITLY LADY, DENZEL BENZ and MY SPRITE all raced very tight resulting
in SPRITLY LADY running out of racing room clipping heels and falling taking no
further competitive part in the event.
Through the 1st turn MALI COVEK suffered an injury and took
no further competitive part in the event.
Over the concluding stages MY SPRITE failed to pursue.
The greyhound SPRITLY LADY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
The greyhound MALI COVEK was vetted and found
to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period
of 21 days.
Stewards
advised trainer Mr. D McGrath that the greyhound MY SPRITE would be charged
under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days
plus satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.
Race 5 – 5th
Grade Heat 2 520m
CABARET TONIGHT was best to begin. IRINKA SHANE was slow. Into the 1st turn ROSABEL shifted in tightening the running of DAINTY LASS and BOUNDING AFFAIR resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. Over the concluding stages UNIQUE RECALL, ROSABEL and IRINKA SHANE all raced tight bumping several times, resulting in ROSABEL becoming inconvenienced.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade Heat 3 520m
Even start. Approaching the 1st turn RADLEY RETURN was tightened and lost its position. Rounding the home turn GOTCHA RACIN’ improved onto the heels of MISS GLENREAGH and lost ground.
Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 520m
HOUINDEED was slow to begin. Into the 1st turn BULL TITAN was bumped becoming unbalanced and raced wide from that point. Racing through the home turn BLUE TARTAN was checked and lost ground.
Race 8 – 5th Grade 600m
MISS HUSSY and PICTURES PEARCE were both slow to begin. Into the 1st turn COLD HARD TRUTH was forced wider. COLD HARD TRUTH and FROSTY JAY JAY both raced wide throughout.
The greyhound DARCY’S CURSE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 4 520m
SEND A MESSAGE and TELEX FINGERS were both slow to begin. Into the 1st turn TELEX FINGERS improved onto the heels of SOUTHERN FLOSS resulting in SOUTHERN FLOSS losing its position. CLASSY BARCY and DAYSEAS RIGG both raced wide throughout.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m
BRALYN BAUPLE was very slow to begin. Into the 1st turn JAYDEN LASS checked across heels losing its position. DENZANO OSTI raced wide throughout.
