GENERAL

 

The greyhound DRAGON GEORGE performed a Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.63.

 

The greyhound REAL FEAR failed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 395m

Even start with TO BIRDIES slow to begin.  MOET GIRL, TEE SNOW and BLUEY’S SHOUT all bumped shortly after the start resulting in BLUEY’S SHOUT becoming unbalanced and checking across the heels of FANCY THURSDAY.  KIALLA shifted in on the turn into the back straight tightening MOET GIRL, TEE SNOW, BLUEY’S SHOUT and FANCY THURSDAY, resulting in TEE SNOW losing ground and MOET GIRL losing considerable ground.  FANCY THURSDAY and LUCKY CATCH bumped on the turn into the back straight.  TO BIRDIES checked off the heels of BLASING BENJI and lost ground entering the back straight, resulting in interference to TEE SNOW.  TEE SNOW and TO BIRDIES bumped on several occasions in the back straight.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 395m

Even start with JEN ROSE HI and AUNTY FEAR slow to begin.  POPULAR BELIEF checked off the heels of LITTLE CHA CHA and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  SHAYLOR PAUL raced wide in the back straight.  JEN ROSE HI raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.  SHAYLOR PAUL raced wide in the front straight.

 

Race 3 – Novice 395m

LAKODA BUTTONS was best to begin.  CORNELIA FLO was tightened for racing room on the turn into the back straight and checked off the heels of HERE’S CHEERS.  SHAYLOR CLEDUS and MISS BECKY SAM bumped on the turn into the back straight, resulting in SHAYLOR CLEDUS becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  CORNELIA FLO checked across the heels of HERE’S CHEERS in the back straight.  MISS BECKY SAM checked off the heels of LAKODA BUTTONS and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  FABULOUS HOPE checked off the heels of FABULOUS GARY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SHAYLOR CLEDUS and HERE’S CHEERS bumped on the turn into the front straight.  CORNELIA FLO and CATWALK SHOW LEE raced wide in the back straight.  HERE’S CHEERS and MISS BECKY SAM bumped just prior to the finish line.  CORNELIA FLO and CATWALK SHOW LEE raced wide in the front straight.

 

Race 4 – Novice 395m

ROYAL HOTEL was best to begin.  FABULOUS ABBY and SHAYLOR TOMMY were slow to begin.  BOB EFFECTS shifted in on the 1st turn after the start tightening NIGHT TERROR in onto ROYAL HOTEL, resulting in interference to FABULOUS ABBY and CLAYBRO NINJA.  NIGHT TERROR also lost ground as a result of the incident.  SHAYLOR TOMMY checked off the heels of EL GRAND JUNIOR on the turn into the back straight, resulting in interference to HARA’S HAWK, NIGHT TERROR, FABULOUS ABBY and CLAYBRO NINJA.  FABULOUS ABBY improved onto the heels of CLAYBRO NINJA resulting in FABULOUS ABBY becoming unbalanced and losing ground on the turn out of the back straight.  CLAYBRO NINJA and EL GRAND JUNIOR bumped on the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 5 – Maiden Final 395m

SIMPLY MAGIC jumped awkwardly as the boxes opened.  BLACKWOOD BURST and LUCKY SHOT were slow to begin.  LUCKY SHOT and BLACKWOOD BURST bumped heavily in the back straight resulting in LUCKY SHOT losing ground.  MISS CORELKO shifted wide on the turn out of the back straight forcing LADY PERLITA to race wide.  LUCKY SHOT raced wide in the front straight.  MISS CORELKO and LADY PERLITA bumped just prior to the finish line.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 395m

Even start.  HARA’S BLAZE, NEEDY AND GREEDY and FABULOUS KATIE bumped on the 1st turn after the start resulting in those 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  NINJA LLOYDIE checked off the heels of EPSILON and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to MAGIC BEAU, who in turn caused interference to GUNNER MAGIC, in turn causing interference to NEEDY AND GREEDY and FAMECHON.  MAGIC BEAU and FABULOUS KATIE bumped on the turn into the front straight.  NEEDY AND GREEDY and GUNNER MAGIC bumped on the turn into the front straight.  EPSILON raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 395m

Even start with BAZZA’S ISSUE slow to begin.  IONA CHAMPION crossed from a wide position on the turn into the back straight, resulting in interference to TWO SIZE’S ALL, BAZZA’S ISSUE and MISTER SISTER.  MISTER SISTER and TWO SIZE’S ALL bumped heavily on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in TWO SIZE’S ALL losing ground and taking no further competitive part in the race.  HARA’S SAMUEL raced wide in the back straight.  IONA CHAMPION shifted out in the front straight to race wide.  HARA’S SAMUEL raced wide in the front straight.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 395m

Even start with REDDY RANGER slow to begin.  REDDY RANGER raced onto the heels of GOLD TOTAL on the turn shortly after the start, resulting in GOLD TOTAL becoming unbalanced, shifting out causing interference to LITTLE RAMONA and PACIFIC HARBOUR.  MELODY SERENADE checked off the heels of ERIC ROSE HI and lost ground on the turn into the back straight, resulting in interference to PACIFIC HARBOUR.  BOSANOVA and MELODY SERENADE raced wide in the front straight.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m

Even start with GET INVOLVED slow to begin.  BILLY’S CRUSADER was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the 1st turn after the start.  DIANNE’S PEARL was tightened for racing room on the turn into the back straight resulting in DIANNE’S PEARL losing ground back onto GET INVOLVED.  WILD ELITE checked off the heels of ON TIGHT LINES and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  DIANNE’S PEARL and GET INVOLVED bumped entering the back straight.  MEGATRON MISS checked off the heels of CHAMPS and lost ground entering the back straight causing some inconvenience to DIANNE’S PEARL.  DIANNE’S PEARL raced wide into the back straight.  MEGATRON MISS checked off the heels of GET INVOLVED and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  CHAMPS and GET INVOLVED bumped heavily after entering the back straight.  DIANNE’S PEARL and MEGATRON MISS raced wide in the front straight.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

Even start with PLUM JAM marginally slow to begin.  VICTORY PRINCE raced wide in the back straight.  EXPRESS LEO checked off the heels of BAY OF SPRITE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  EXPRESS LEO checked off the heels of STUART’S CHOICE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  BAY OF SPRITE, EXPRESS LEO, DAVID’S MEMORY and PLUM JAM all bumped heavily prior to turning out of the back straight.
