The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

The Trainer Mr. Paul Graham was admonished by stewards in regards to a phone call to an official of Racing Queensland.

 

Race 1 – Novice 520m

FLASHING FEAR was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Soon after the start CAN OF SPRITE and AWESOME LARRY collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight KINDA AMAZING shifted off checking TIJUANA TEMPO forcing TIJUANA TEMPO wide on the turn.  In the back straight TIJUANA TEMPO was wide.  In the home straight FLASHING FEAR was wide.

 

The greyhound KINDA AMAZING was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – 5th Grade 520m

MADE THAT WAY and MISS OLYMPIA were best to begin with WAR PICTURE slowly away.  On the turn out of the home straight WAR PICTURE and ELUSIVE STRIKE were racing tight and bumping.  In the back straight FLASH HOUDINGI was wide.  On the top turn MISS OLYMPIA and FLASH HOUDINI were wide.  In the home straight WAR PICTURE and FLASH HOUDINI were wide.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 520m

VELOCITY SHIRL was best to begin with HURRICANE CHANCE and FRENCH IDOL slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight TOBIAS RUMBLE checked off the heels of VEUVE.  On the turn and over the home and back straights FRENCH IDOL was wide.  Entering the top turn SPANISH QUEEN and FRENCH IDOL collided.  In the home straight FRENCH IDOL was wide.

 

The greyhound FRENCH IDOL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – 4/5th Grade 520m

Even start.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion ABBY’S MAGIC and BEAR FOR BREAKY collided.  On the turn out of the home straight BIG DAC was wide.  In the back straight JIMMY BRUTE and WAIKARIE MAGIC collided with BIG DAC wide.  On the turn into the home straight JIMMY BRUTE was wide.  Approaching line ABBY’S MAGIC and BUTCHULLA BOY collided.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade Final 520m

SAWADEE and AZARIAH were best to begin with UP THE ATTITUDE slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight SAWADEE and AZARIAH collided.  On the turn out of the home straight COSMIC BACKSTEP and TARKS BLACK ROSE collided forcing TARKS BLACK ROSE wide.  In the back straight TARKS BLACK ROSE was wide.  On the top turn RUM RAMBLER was wide.  Entering the home straight SAWADEE turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with CREATE HAVOC.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Simpson that the greyhound SAWADEE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

The greyhound TARKS BLACK ROSE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 600m

APATITE was best to begin with MAGIC KITCHEN slowly away.  Entering the home turn on the 1st occasion CRACKING CAZA brushed the running rail.  In the home straight and bottom turn CHEEKY FREYER was wide.  In the home straight CHEEKY FREYER was wide.

 

The greyhound CRACKING CAZA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 7 – Middle Distance Final 600m

MAGIC MAIDEN was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Soon after the start CHEEKY CHANCE and CYNDIE’S MAGIC collided.  Entering the turn into the home straight on the 1st occasion HOUGENIE and OXLEY RUBEY collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight HOUGENIE and OXLEY RUBEY collided.  Entering the back straight MINNIE IMPACT and HOUGENIE collided.  In the home straight HOUGENIE was wide.

 

The greyhound GOLFING AMY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – 2/3rd Grade 520m

LADY ABIGAIL and MACNIVEK were best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion LADY ABIGAIL and MACNIVEK collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight GENERAL CLOUD and ELUSIVE DESIRE collided.  On the turn out of the home straight YOUI and GENERAL CLOUD collided causing YOUI to shift out checking ELUSIVE DESIRE.  In the back straight SWAP YA was wide.  On the turn out of the back straight GENERAL CLOUD checked off the heels of ELUSIVE DESIRE.  In the home straight GENERAL CLOUD was wide.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m

SHANAE’S MAGIC was best to begin with ALPHA ADONIS slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight SHANAE’S MAGIC checked off the heels of CARDIAC KING.  On the turn out of the home straight TASER SHOCK and ROCKY BE GOOD collided.  On the turn ALPHA ADONIS and MR. SLY collided causing MR. SLY to race wide.  In the back straight SHYAN YAHOO was wide.  In the home straight ALPHA ADONIS was wide.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m

SIDBO was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Approaching the turn out of the home straight SIDBO and DOWN THEY CAME collided.  On the turn out of the straight DOWN THEY CAME and SIDBO collided causing SIDBO to check DOOGAL and DOWN THEY CAME to drop to the rear.  In the back straight DOOGAL was wide.  In the home straight PREMIER JET and DARCY’S CURSE were racing tight and bumping.  In the home straight SMASHNIAK CLASS was wide.

 

The greyhound DOWN THEY CAME was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
