The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 331m

Even start with a SPRING VALE, STELLA ROSE HI and ALOTA THOUGHT marginally slow to begin.  CHECKOUT CHARLIE was tightened for racing room entering the back straight resulting in CHECKOUT CHARLIE losing ground back onto STELLA ROSE HI who fell as a result.  OREO DELICIOUS raced onto the heels of COSMIC LAPTOP in the back straight resulting in COSMIC LAPTOP losing ground.  LENNY BENZ checked off the heels of SHAYLOR JOE and lost ground in the back straight.  SPRING VALE checked across the heels of LENNY BENZ and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SPRING VALE raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.  CHECKOUT CHARLIE and COSMIC LAPTOP bumped on the turn out of the back straight.

 

The greyhound STELLA ROSE HI was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 331m

Even start.  ROMEO RAGTOP was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  ROMEO RAGTOP checked off the heels of EXCITED HAWK on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  BEAR raced wide on the turn into the front straight and again in the front straight.

 

The greyhound ROMEO RAGTOP was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 331m

The race was run in heavy rain.

 

GRAND ROSIE and HENDERSON BLACK were best to begin.  ELLIE’S LAST was slow to begin.  ATOMIC ACE checked off the heels of GRAND ROSIE and lost ground entering the back straight resulting in interference to WITCH HUNTER.  HENDERSON BLACK and ALOTA FUTURE bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and racing wide.  HENDERSON BLACK shifted in on the turn into the front straight bumping KEYSTONE KAHN who was checked and lost ground and also bumping WITCH HUNTER who was checked and lost ground. ALOTA FUTURE shifted in entering the front straight resulting in HENDERSON BLACK checking off its heels losing ground.

 

The greyhound HENDERSON BLACK was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – Maiden Final 331m

OREO DELIGHT was best to begin.  FAST DANCER slipped as the start was effected and lost ground.  STORM RAIDER was slow to begin.  SECRET SHAY ANNA was tightened for racing room and lost ground entering the back straight.  ALL BECAUSE and STORM RAIDER bumped approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  ALL BECAUSE raced wide to the finish.

 

Race 5 – Novice 331m

Even start.  GUNNER SUCCEED checked off the heels of GOLD STEEL and lost ground just prior to entering the back straight resulting in GUMTREE KID racing onto the hindquarters of GUNNER SUCCEED, causing GUNNER SUCCEED to fall.  KASEY’S TURBO checked off the heels of MOVIDA and lost ground entering the back straight.

 

The greyhound GUNNER SUCCEED was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

The greyhound GUMTREE KID was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 6 – Novice 331m

SON OF PRADA was best to begin.  CORNELIA FLO checked off the heels of ZABDON PRADA and lost ground entering the back straight.

 

Race 7 – 4th Grade 395m

Even start.  TRAV’S MAGIC, STUART’S CHOICE, CUZZY BROMAC, STRIKE A DEAL and OUT WEST all race very tight on the turn into the back straight resulting in STUART’S CHOICE, CUZZY BROMAC and STRIKE A DEAL being checked and losing ground.  KID SHELLEEN checked off the heels of DAYSEAS ASTRA and lost ground prior to turning into the back straight.  STUART’S CHOICE raced very wide into the back straight.  DAYSEAS ASTRA checked off the heels of KINGSBRAE BUDDY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  TRAV’S MAGIC and OUT WEST bumped prior to turning out of the back straight.  DAYSEAS ASTRA checked across the heels of KID SHELLEEN on the turn into the front straight.  DAYSEAS ASTRA raced wide in the front straight.

 

Race 8 – Best 8 395m

GEMMA DUAL was best to begin.  WAZZ’S FANTASY was marginally slow to begin.  ZABALETA was slow to begin.  MODERN MISS and WAZZA KING bumped on the turn into the back straight.  ZABALETA checked off the heels of HOWARD HENO and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to WAZZA KING.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 331m

Even start with BLUE LEXUS marginally slow to begin.  QUEEN OF SHOW was marginally slow to begin.  BRIGHT ANNIE was tightened for racing room and lost ground prior to turning into the back straight resulting in BRIGHT ANNIE dropping back onto BLUE LEXUS who raced onto the hindquarters of BRIGHT ANNIE, causing BRIGHT ANNIE to fall.  ERIC ROSE HI and INNER WISDOM also suffered inconvenience as a result of the incident.  BLUE LEXUS raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.  INNER WISDOM checked across the heels of ERIC ROSE HI and lost ground on the turn into the front straight.  BLUE LEXUS and QUEEN OF SHOW bumped on the turn out of the back straight.

 

The greyhound BRIGHT ANNIE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

MISS MILLIGAN was best to begin.  FABULOUS KATIE and ABBY’S MAGIC were tightened for racing room on the turn into the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  PARTY MAN checked off the heels of ABBY’S MAGIC and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  MISS ELEGANCE checked off the heels of ORE DE KAHN and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  VICTORY PRINCE and MISS ELEGANCE bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in MISS ELEGANCE becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  VICTORY PRINCE raced wide into the front straight forcing MISS ELEGANCE to race wide.

 

Race 11 – 5th Grade 395m

MACARENA MISS was best to begin.  GOLDEN LENNY was slow to begin.  FABRICATED and FABULOUS WALL bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced causing interference to ZLATON and PURE BEAUTY.  ZLATON and FABRICATED bumped in the back straight.  ZLATON and FABULOUS WALL bumped approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in FABULOUS WALL becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  FABRICATED checked across the heels of FABULOUS WALL and lost ground on the turn into the front straight.

 

The greyhound FABRICATED was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 12 Master 395m

Even start with VAGUE MEMORIES and CHERYL VALE slow to begin.  ZIPPING MANI checked off the heels of SHAYLOR JAKE and lost ground approaching the turn into the back straight.  JEEPSTER was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  SHAYLOR JAKE checked off the heels of MAGIC GALO and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  SUDUKO REBEL checked off the heels of MAGIC GALO and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  ZIPPING MANI improved onto the heels of JEEPSTER resulting in both those greyhounds losing some ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  SHAYLOR JAKE checked off the heels of HOLLYWOOD HEARTS and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.
