The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Novice 520m

VELOCITY MYSTIC was best to begin with UNIQUE GHOSTLY slowly away.  Soon after the start UNIQUE GHOSTLY crossed to the rail.  Entering the turn out of the home straight LUCKY SHOT shifted out checking BOOM WARRIOR and DARCY’S FANTASY.  In the back straight DARCY’S FANTASY was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight LUCKY SHOT checked off the heels of CAN OF SPRITE.  In the home straight LUCKY SHOT and BOOM WARRIOR were wide.

 

Race 2 – Novice 520m

FLASHING FEAR and NOT ANOTHA GINGA were best to begin with AVID LAD and AWESOME LARRY slow to begin.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion FLASHING FEAR and BLITZ ‘EM collided causing FLASHING FEAR to drop to the rear.  On the turn out of the home straight BLITZ ‘EM and NOT ANOTHA GINGA collided.  On the turn FLASHING FEAR was wide.  On the back straight BODGIE BEKIM was wide.  On the turn out of the back straight SOOT SPRITE and AWESOME LARRY collided.  On the turn into the home straight AVID LAD and BOGIE BEKIM were wide.  Approaching the winning post AWESOME LARRY turned its head inwards failing to make contact on NOT ANOTHA GINGA with SOOT SPRITE checking off the heels of NOT ANOTHA GINGA near the line.

 

The greyhound AWESOME LARRY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Hazelgrove that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 520m

Even start with FAR FROM FEAR and IMA COWBOY slowly away.  Soon after the start GRIN AND WIN and CHEEKY CHANCE collided.  Entering the turn out of home straight FAR FROM FEAR checked off the heels of IMA COWBOY causing FAR FROM FEAR to race wide.  In the back straight CY TOLLIVER was wide.  Entering the home straight ROSDUE DYNAMO and BLUE STATUESQUE collided.  In the home straight BLUE STATUESQUE was wide.

 

The greyhound BLUE STATUESQUE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 520m

Even start with ALPHA ARES slowly away.  Soon after the start ROSABEL shifted out checking SMASHNIAK CLASS.  Entering the turn out of the home straight SMASHNIAK CLASS checked off the heels of ULTIMATE BOMBER with HER’S NOT HIS checking off the heels of ROSABEL.  On the turn out of the home straight SUNNYSIDE JAY was wide.  Entering the back straight SUNNYSIDE JAY and SMASHNIAK CLASS collided.  In the back straight SUNNYSIDE JAY was wide.  Entering the top turn ALPHA ARES checked off the heels of ROSABEL causing ALPHA AREA to race wide.  In the home straight SUNNYSIDE JAY was wide.

 

The greyhound HER’S NOT HIS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards questioned trainer Mr. S Woods and he advised the greyhound’s poor performance was in relation to the greyhound was flattened by the run on Monday and he intends to give the greyhound an ease up.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 520m

MINNIE IMPACT was best to begin with FLASH HOUDINI and FRENCH IDOL slowly away.  Soon after the start VELOCITY SHIRL checked off the heels of GUN LEGACY causing VELOCITY SHIRL to drop to the rear with GUN LEGACY shifting out causing FABULOUS BILL to collide with GUN LEGACY, who in turn checked FLASH HOUDINI.  On the turn out of the home straight GUN LEGACY and MINNIE IMPACT collided causing MINNIE IMPACT to check FLASH HOUDINI.  In the back straight GUN LEGACY was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight FABULOUS BILL and AZARIAH collided.  On the turn out of the back straight VELOCITY SHIRL checked off the heels of MINNIE IMPACT causing MINNIE IMPACT to drop to the rear.  Entering the home straight FLASH HOUDINI and MINNIE IMPACT collided.  In the home straight GUN LEGACY was wide.

 

The greyhound VELOCITY SHIRL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 600m

Even start with MAGIC KITCHEN slowly away.  Approaching the turn into the home straight SMASHNIAK GOLD and GOLFING AMY collided causing GOLFING AMY to check DARCY’S CURSE.  Entering the home straight MAGIC KITCHEN was wide.  On the turn out of the home straight SMASHNIAK GOLD was wide.  In the back straight JUST LIKE TINA was wide.  In the home straight SMASHNIAK GOLD was wide.

 

The greyhound MAGIC KITCHEN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Trainer Ms. F Guymer stated she didn’t know why the greyhound was favourite and she did not support the greyhound especially from the outside draw.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 520m

FULL OF ATTITUDE was best to begin with PACIFIC HARBOUR slowly away.  Soon after the start VICTORY PRINCE and OXLEY RUBEY collided casing VICTORY PRINCE to check CYNDIE’S MAGIC.  On the turn out of the home straight VICTORY PRINCE was wide.  On the top turn OXLEY RUBEY checked off the heels of heels of PACIFIC HARBOUR.  In the home straight VICTORY PRINCE was wide.

 

The greyhound PACIFIC HARBOUR was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 520m

SPRING BONANZA and HEIDI BENZ were best to begin with ABBY’S MAGIC and GENERAL CLOUD slowly away.  Soon after the start SPRING BONANZA and HEIDI BENZ collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight HEIDI BENZ checked off the heels of BUTCHULLA BOY with ABBY’S MAGIC wide.  In the back straight GENERAL CLOUD was wide.  Entering the top turn JIMMY BRUTE checked off the heels of ABBY’S MAGIC.  On the top turn HEIDI BENZ checked off the heels of ANTI DENTITE causing HEIDI BENZ to drop back sharply.  In the home straight HEIDI BENZ was wide.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m

This race was delayed due to an interstate harness event.

 

SPANISH QUEEN and VEUVE were best to begin with FROSTY JAY JAY and HOUINDEED slowly away.  Soon after the start SPANISH QUEEN and VEUVE collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight HOUINDEED checked off the heels of FROSTY JAY JAY.  On the turn out of the home straight WAIKARIE MAGIC and UP THE ATTITUDE collided forcing UP THE ATTITUDE wide.  In the back straight HOUINDEED was wide.  In the home straight SPANISH QUEEN was wide.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m

MR. SLY was best to begin with ASTOUND YA slowly away.  Soon after the start TRAV’S MAGIC crossed checking SHYAN YAHOO, who in turn checked MR. SLY.  Approaching the turn out of the home straight MR. SLY checked off the heels of SHYAN YAHOO, causing MR. SLY to check RUM RAMBLER, causing these 2 greyhounds to take no further competitive part in the event, with MR. SLY checking CARDIAC KING.  On the turn out of the home straight MISS JACKPOT and ASTOUND YA collided.  In the home straight ASTOUND YA was wide.

 

The greyhound RUM RAMBLER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound MR. SLY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
