The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 331m

Even start with SPRING VALE and ALOTA FUTURE slow to begin.  SLOW COACH was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  TRELLY KNEELS was tightened for racing room and lost ground prior to entering the back straight.  DON’T BE DUCKIN’ checked off the heels of ALOTA FUTURE and lost ground entering the back straight.  SLOW COACH shifted out on the turn out of the back straight bumping SPRING VALE causing that greyhound to lose ground.  DON’T BE DUCKIN’ also suffered inconvenience.  SLOW COACH and TRELLY KNEELS bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in TRELLY KNEELS losing ground.  SLOW COACH, SPRING VALE and DON’T BE DUCKIN’ bumped after turning out of the back straight, resulting in the 3 greyhounds losing ground.

 

The greyhound SLOW COACH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 331m

JAGGED IMAGE was best to begin and RUBY CABANG was slow to begin.  IN JOCK’S SHADOW checked off the heels of JAGGED IMAGE and lost ground entering the back straight, resulting in interference to DESTRUCTOR and AEROPLANE LOU.  IN JOCK’S SHADOW checked off the heels of GOTCHA NOW and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to LISA ROSE HI.  IN JOCK’S SHADOW lost considerable ground as a result of the incident.  AEROPLANE LOU raced wide on the turn out of the back straight forcing DESTRUCTOR wide.

 

The greyhound IN JOCK’S SHADOW was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 331m

Even start with ISA STAR marginally slow to begin.  MASTER MAGOO crossed from a wide position approaching the turn into the back straight tightening WILDASH GEE in onto SIRRAH SIRRAH onto ISA STAR, onto SECRET SHAY ANNA, resulting in those 4 greyhounds losing ground.  WILDASH GEE checked off the heels of SIRRAH SIRRAH and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  Shortly after SECRET SHAY ANNA checked off the heels of SIRRAH SIRRAH and lost ground.

 

Race 4 – Maiden 331m

Even start with OREO DELICIOUS and ALOTA THOUGHT slow to begin.  ATOMIC ACE was tightened for racing room and lost ground just prior to entering the back straight.  SUGAR RAY ROSSO checked off the heels of GRAND ROSIE and lost some ground entering the back straight.  ALOTA THOUGHT checked off the heels of GRAND ROSIE and lost ground in the back straight.  LENNY BENZ checked off the heels of FAST SHACKO on the turn out of the back straight resulting in LENNY BENZ becoming unbalanced and bumping GRAND ROSIE.  COME AGAIN JANE checked off the heels of LENNY BENZ on turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to ALOTA THOUGHT.

 

The greyhound ALOTA THOUGHT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – Novice 331m

EARLY SHIRLEY was the best to begin.  FAST CODY was slow to begin.  EFFIE ROSE HI checked off the heels of the heels of MOVIDA on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both those greyhounds losing ground.  SMUGGUMS checked off the heels of ZABDON PRADA and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in interference to FAST CODY.  MOVIDA checked across the heels of ELLIE ROSE HI on the turn out into the front straight resulting in MOVIDA becoming unbalanced and bumping ZABDON PRADA.  CORY’S DIAMOND improved onto the heels of GOLD STEEL prior to entering the front straight resulting in CORY’S DIAMOND becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  GOLD STEEL checked across the heels of EARLY SHIRLEY entering the front straight.  CORY’S DIAMOND raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 6 – Novice 331m

Even start with AWESOME WILLS marginally slow to begin.  FREEWAY BURNER knuckled over prior to entering the back straight and lost some ground.  FREEWAY BURNER checked off the heels of TANAYAH BAZ and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight, resulting in TANAYAH BAZ becoming unbalanced and bumping IMA TALENT.  FREEWAY BURNER lost ground sharply on the turn out of the back straight and fell.  WILD SUNRISE and AWESOME WILLS bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in WILD SUNRISE becoming unbalanced.

 

The greyhound FREEWAY BURNER was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off fore leg and was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 331m

Even start with SHAYLOR NORRIS slow to begin.  SPRING AGUSTUS, SMOKEM UP SMOKEY and LITTLE RAMONA were tightened for racing room and lost some ground prior to entering the back straight.  SPRING AGUSTUS and SON OF PRADA bumped on the turn out of the back straight.  POWER JET lost ground in the back straight appeared injured.  SPRING AGUSTUS checked off the heels of SOMERSET SUPREME and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

The greyhound POWER JET was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 395m

CUZZY BROMAC was slow to begin.  KINGSBRAW BUDDY, MAHAILIA and MODERN MISS all bumped approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in MAHAILIA losing ground.  OBIN TOMMY checked off the heels of MACARENA MISS on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to MODERN MISS.  MAHAILIA raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.  DIANNE’S PEARL checked across the heels of OBIN TOMMY on the turn into the front straight resulting in DIANNE’S PEARL becoming unbalanced causing interference to WALLY WHO CALLS.  DIANNE’S PEARL bumped CUZZY BROMAC resulting in interference to KINGSBRAE BUDDY.  MAHAILIA raced wide into the back straight and in the back straight.

 

The greyhound MAHAILIA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards questioned trainer Mr. F Hancock in relation to the performance of the greyhound tonight.  Mr. Hancock advised his connections that the greyhound should be supported however, Mr. Hancock stated that the interference that the greyhound suffered shortly after the start attributed to the performance of the greyhound after this.  Mr. Hancock further stated that he was supportive of the greyhound’s performance however, he stated he would be continuing to race the greyhound in the near future.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m

DAVID’S MEMORY was best to begin.  HARA’S SAMUEL was slow to begin.  KOKOMO BEACH, JACK MURRAY, KAPALUA and BRAE HEART raced very tight into the 1st turn after the start.  CRAZY VIXON, KOKOMO BEACH and JACK MURRY all bumped heavily entering the back straight resulting in KOKOMO BEACH becoming unbalanced and CRAZY VIXON losing some ground.  JACK MURRAY checked off the heels of KOKOMO BEACH and lost ground entering the back straight.  CRAZY VIXON raced wide in the back straight.  CRAZY VIXON and HARA’S SAMUEL bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in some inconvenience to CRAZY VIXON.  HARA’S SAMUEL checked off the heels of KOKOMO BEACH and lost some ground on the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

Even start with EPSILON slow to begin.  CALL ME AUSSIE, ZULU PRINCESS and DISMANTLE raced very tight into the 1st turn after the start resulting in EPSILON checking off the heels of ZULU PRINCESS.  ITALIAN MAGIC checked off the heels of ORE DE KAHN and lost ground approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to ZULU PRINCESS, DISMANTLE and MANYARA MISS.  ZULU PRINCESS checked off the heels of CALL ME AUSSIE and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  DISMANTLE checked off the heels of CALL ME AUSSIE and lost ground entering the back straight.  ORE DE KAHN checked off the heels of PROVIDENCE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to CALL ME AUSSIE.  CALL ME AUSSIE improved onto the heels of ITALIAN MAGIC on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing some ground.  CALL ME AUSSIE checked off the heels of ITALIAN MAGIC on the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  DISMANTLE raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound ITALIAN MAGIC was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 11 – 5th Grade 395m

MINNIE’S HOPE was best to begin.  MISS ELEGANCE and PLUM JAM were slow to begin.  MISS MULLIGAN was tightened for racing room and lost ground approaching the 1st turn after the start.  KINGSBRAE REDFOO, MINNIE’S HOPE and HOW MUCH bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in these 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  MINNIE’S HOPE checked off the heels of KINGSBRAE REDFOO and lost ground prior to the entering the back straight.  MISS ELEGANCE checked off the heels of FLYING RAVEN and lost ground on the turn into the back straight, resulting in some inconvenience to PLUM JAM.  MISS ELEGANCE and KINGSBRAE REDFOO bumped on the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 12 – Masters 395m

SHRUB’S CRUSADER was best to begin.  SUDOKU REBEL, NOT WORTH IT and BARRIE BOJANGLES were slow to begin.  HOLLYWOOD HEARTS checked off the heels of MAGIC GALO on the 1st turn after the start resulting in HOLLYWOOD HEARTS becoming unbalance losing considerable ground back onto SUDOKU REBEL, who also became unbalanced and lost considerable ground, back onto BLUE DEN.  ERIC ROSE HI also suffered interference as a result of the incident.  BARRIE BOJANGLES checked off the heels of BLUE DEN on the turn into the back straight and lost ground.  ERIC ROSE HI checked off the heels of NOT WORTH IT and lost ground entering the back straight.  SUDOKU REBEL and BARRIER BOJANGLES bumped in the back straight.  SHRUB’S CRUSADER raced wide into the back straight.  SUDOKO REBEL checked off the heels of BLUE DEN on the turn out of the back straight.  SHRUB’S CRUSADER and NOT WORTH IT bumped entering the home straight.

 

The greyhound SUDOKU REBEL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
