GENERAL

 

The greyhound GOLD DIVA performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.34 and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane until after 17 January 2016.

 

The greyhound AUNTY FEAR failed a stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m.

 

The greyhound ASIA PACIFIC performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.74

 

The greyhound BLACK ROAD performed a satisfactory cramping trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.33.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 395m

Even start with HECTOR THE GREAT and BOEHRINGER marginally slow to begin.  ELLIE’S LAST checked off the heels of DESPERADO BOY and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to HECTOR THE GREAT.  COMFORT THE BULL checked off the heels of DESPERADO BOY on the turn into the back straight resulting in DESPERADO BOY becoming unbalanced and COMFORT THE BULL losing ground back onto INDIE ROCK.  ELLIE’S LAST shifted out prior to entering the back straight causing interference to BOEHRINGER.  ELLIE’S LAST raced wide in the back straight.  ZABDON VUITTON checked off the heels of DESPERADO BOY on the turn out of the back straight resulting in ZABDON VUITTON becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground.  ELLIE’S LAST race wide in the front straight.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 395m

MOCHA CINI was best to begin.  SNOW BEAR and SPARLING SHELL were slow to begin.  JOHNNY MELODY shifted out shortly after the start causing interference to VAL ROSE HI and JOHNNY MELODY continued to shift out bumping ROMEO RAGTOP out onto CEHCKOUT CHARLIE, resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  VAL ROSE HI checked off the heels of TALEYA and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  ROMEO RAGTOP checked off the heels of SNOW BEAR and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  JOHNNY MELODY was inconvenienced and lost ground on the turn into the front straight and was inconvenienced by MOCHA CINI.  JOHNNY MELODY and SNOW BEAR raced wide in the home straight.

 

Steward advised trainer Mr. K Kemp that the greyhound MOCHA CINI would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 395m

The start of this race was delayed 1.5 minutes due to interstate racing.

 

CASS CASS was best to begin.  PASCOE ROAD was slow to begin.  LEGEND MATE checked off the heels of ROADHOUSE GIRL and lost ground shortly after the start.  HEZA CLASSY SIZE checked across the heels of ABELE on the turn into the back straight, resulting in interference to ROADHOUSE GIRL.  PASCOE ROAD raced wide in the back straight.  STELLA ROSE HI raced wide on the turn out of the back straight, forcing PASCOE ROAD to race wide.  PASCOE ROAD raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound HEZA CLASSY SIZE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 14 days.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. M Cuneo that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks prior to nominating.

 

Race 4 – Maiden Final 395m

OUTBACK FLYER was best to begin.  MOET GIRL was slow to begin.  SHAYLOR HULA jumped awkwardly and was very slow into stride.  SHAYLOR SKEETER checked across the heels of KURO LOU and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  COSMIC SIZE checked off the heels of OUTBACK FLYER on the turn into the back straight resulting in COSMIC SIZE becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground.  KURO LOU and MOET GIRL bumped in the back straight.  SHAYLOR HULA raced wide in the back straight.  COSMIC SIZE checked off the heels of KURO LOU and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in some inconvenience to MOET GIRL.  SHAYLOR SKEETER raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound COSMIC SIZE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – Novice 395m

Even start with LA MANCHA MAN and MONOCEROS marginally slow to begin.  FABULOUS TRAV checked off the heels of REPTAR and lost ground on the 1st turn after the start.  LA MANCHA MAN checked off the heels of FLASHMAN SAM and lost ground on the turn into the back straight, resulting in some inconvenience to FABULOUS TRAV.  FABULOUS TRAV shifted out prior to entering the back straight bumping EL GRAND JUNIOR.  FABULOUS TRAV raced wide in the back straight.  FLASHMAN SAM checked off the heels of BRIGANTINE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  LA MANCHA MAN shifted wide after turning out of the back straight bumping MONOCEROS and forcing that greyhound to race wide.  MONOCEROS checked across the heels of FABULOUS TRAV on the turn into the front straight.  EL GRAND JUNIOR shifted out on the turn into the front straight across the heels of MONOCEROS.  FABULOUS TRAV and EL GRAND JUNIOR raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 6 – Novice 395m

SIMPLY MAGIC was best to begin.  ZABDON PRADA failed to jump as the boxes open and took no competitive part in the race.  SHAYLOR TOMMY checked off the heels of FABULOUS ABBY and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  SHAYLOR TOMMY checked off the heels of WITCHES RICHES and lost ground just prior to entering the back straight.  FAST CODY improved onto the heels of WITCHES RICHES on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  SIMPLY MAGIC checked across the heels of FABULOUS ABBY and lost ground on the turn into the front straight.  FAST CODY and WITCHES RICHES bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced losing ground.

 

The greyhound ZABDON PRADA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. B Kitchener that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks prior to nominating.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Heat 1 395m

FABULOUS GARY was best to begin.  ITALIAN MAGIC and PLUM JAM were tightened for racing room approaching the 1st turn after the start resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  BLUE LEXUS checked off the heels of BATTISTUZZI MISS and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to ROYAL HOTEL, PLUM JAM and MINNIE’S HOPE.  MINNIE’S HOPE checked across the hindquarters of ITALIAN MAGIC and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  BAY OF SPRITE and ROYAL HOTEL bumped on the turn into the front straight.  ITALIAN MAGIC raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound BATTISTUZZI MISS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore toe and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Heat 2 395m

LEADFOOT MAGIC was best to begin.  READY TO RULE was slow to begin.  BRALYN AMY was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  BRAE HEART was tightened for racing room and lost considerable ground shortly after the start.  WILD ELITE crossed from a wide position approaching the turn into the back straight causing interference to WAZZ’S FANTASY, BOSANOVA and LEADFOOT MAGIC.  WAZZ’S FANTASY lost ground entering the back straight appearing injured.  BRALYN AMY checked off the heels of BOSANOVA in the front straight and then checked across the heels of HARA’S SAMUEL.

 

The greyhound LEADFOOT MAGIC was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

The greyhound WAZZ’S FANTASY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 3 395m

LITTLE RAMONA was best to begin.  FABULOUS WALL was slow to begin.  TARA MARRIE checked off the heels of LITTLE RAMONA and lost ground approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to FYRE GAL.  General tightening occurred on the turn into the back straight resulting in SHAYLOR BELLE losing some ground and BAIDEN ROSE HI losing considerable ground.  KENTUCKY KAHN checked off the heels of SHAYLOR BELLE and lost ground entering the back straight.  SHAYLOR BELLE checked off the heels of FABULOUS WALL on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  BAIDEN ROSE HI and SHAYLOR BELLE bumped in the front straight.  FABULOUS WALL and KENTUCKY KAHN bumped in the front straight.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade Heat 4 395m

Even start.  MUMMA’S HOPE and INDIANA RUMBLE bumped entering the 1st turn after the start resulting in MUMMA’S HOPE losing ground.  BARCELLA and KLOEIS PRIDE bumped on the turn into the back straight.  THAIDAY NIGHT raced wide in the back straight.  MUMMA’S HOPE checked off the heels of KNAVE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  THAIDAY NIGHT raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound KLOEIS PRIDE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
