The greyhound TREVON’S FURY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.10 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks after 19 February 2016.
The greyhound JETT CLASS performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.08 and is now cleared all tracks.
The greyhound SMART SPIRIT performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.52 and is now cleared all tracks.
Even start with BIGGIE PAWS slow to begin and GUY FAWKES marginally slow to begin. GUY FAWKES crossed from a wide position shortly after the start bumping BUCKETTE in onto LIL’S ROSE, resulting in BUCKETTE losing ground. AMELIA STAR checked off the heels of LUNA PARK and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight. AMELIA STAR shifted out after suffering inconvenience bumping UNIQUE KALEESI out onto TONIGHT LIVE, resulting in both greyhounds racing wide on the turn. LIL’S ROSE shifted out on the turn out of the front straight bumping BUCKETTE causing that greyhound to be checked and lose ground.
Even start and TWEED DANCER jumped awkwardly and lost ground as the start was effected. GOOD BOY SEAMUS raced wide in the front straight on the 1st occasion. UNIQUE GHOSTLY checked off the heels of CAPTAIN THURSDAY and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in interference to CASH EXPLOSION. STIRLING BLUE checked off the heels of CAPTAIN THURSDAY and lost some ground on the turn out of the front straight. TWEED DANCER checked off the heels of TRICODE ALL SHOW and lost some ground after turning out of the front straight. CAPTAIN THURSDAY checked off the heels of TWEED DANCER and lost some ground on the turn into the back straight. STIRLING BLUE contacted the running rail on the turn out of the back straight. GOOD BOY SEAMUS raced wide in the back straight. GOOD BOY SEAMUS raced wide in the home straight.
The greyhound STIRLING BLUE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 3 – 0 – 3 Wins 600m
ART OF CONFUSION was best to begin. RUFFY ROAD checked off the heels of PROUD AS PUNCH and lost ground on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in interference to WINZAR. RUFFY ROAD and WINZAR continued to bump around the corner into the front straight on the 1st occasion, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground.
The greyhound RUFFY ROAD was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. D McMillan that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 600m all tracks.
Race 4 – 5th
Grade 520m
Even start. MOTORIN’ CIDER checked
off the heels of MASTER CORSAIR and lost ground approaching the end of the
front straight on the 1st occasion.
FAST AS checked off the heels of MASTER CORSAIR and lost ground
approaching the turn out of the front straight on the 1st
occasion. SHIFT SEINE and IMA COWBOY
bumped on the turn out of the front straight.
IMA COWBOY and STILL COUNTING bumped on the turn into the back
straight. MAXIMUS AURELIUS checked off
the heels of MOTORIN’ CIDER and lost ground on the turn into the back
straight. MOTORIN’ CIDER improved onto
the heels of IMA COWBOY entering the back straight resulting in both greyhounds
losing ground.
Race 5 – 5th
Grade 520m
CRAZY VIXON was best to begin. ONE WON’T HURT was marginally slow to begin. FIRE ALONG knuckled over shortly after the start and lost some ground. PURE BEAUTY checked off the heels of LADY PERLITA and lost some ground in the front straight on the 1st occasion. LADY PERLITA and SPRITLY LADY bumped after leaving the front straight on the 1st occasion. ONE WON’T HURT checked across the heels of FIRE ALONG and lost some ground approaching the turn out of the back straight. PURE BEAUTY and LADY PERLITA bumped just prior to the finish line. FIRE ALONG raced wide in the home straight.
Race 6 – 4/5th
Grade 520m
Even start. LIL’ BIT SPARKY and I’M ALL STRIPES were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start. KIRI BELLE and LORIAN ADITI bumped in the front straight on the 1st occasion. I’M ALL STRIPES and LIL’ BIT SPARKY bumped on the turn out of the front straight. LIL’ BIT SPARKY checked across the heels of KINGSBRAE NELLY and lost ground approaching the turn into the back straight.
Race 7 – 5th Grade 600m
The start of this race was delayed 1.5 minutes due to interstate harness racing.
RADLEY RETURN was best to begin. GUN LEGACY was slow to begin. OUR CHALLENGE checked across the heels of SANNETTE CHOP on the turn into the front straight resulting in interference to DEEP DESPAIR. GUN LEGACY checked off the heels of LADY ABIGAIL and lost ground on the turn into the front straight. OUR CHALLENGE checked across the heels of SANNETTE CHOP on the turn into the front straight resulting in OUR CHALLENGE racing wide bumping DEEP DESPAIR and forcing that greyhound to race wide prior to entering the front straight. GUN LEGACY raced wide in the back straight. LADY ABIGAIL and RADLEY RETURN bumped entering the home straight.
Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 520m
Even start. SIVAMET was tightened for racing room and lost ground approaching the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion. ALPHA THESEUS checked off the heels of WINGS OF PERLITA in the front straight on the 1st occasion, resulting in interference to CHEVALEIR NUIT. ALPHA THESEUS checked off the heels of SUPER SOOK on the turn out of the front straight resulting in ALPHA THESEUS becoming unbalanced, shifting out and interfering with CHEVALEIR NUIT. SMASHNIAK CLASS and CHADOR KAHN bumped approaching the turn into the back straight. SMASHNIAK CLASS and IRINKA SHANE bumped on the turn into the back straight, resulting in SMASHNIAK CLASS becoming unbalanced and losing ground. SMASHNIAK CLASS checked off the heels of SIVAMET and lost ground entering the back straight. ALPHA THESEUS and SMASHNIAK CLASS raced wide in the back straight. SIVAMET checked off the heels of CHEVALEIR NUIT and lost ground on the turn into the front straight. ALPHA THESEUS and SMASHNIAK CLASS raced wide in the home straight.
The greyhound SMASHNIAK CLASS was vetted and
found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a
period of 10 days.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m
WHITE MARLIN was best to begin. MASTER CODY was slow to begin. EL CHAD was marginally slow to begin. WHITE MARLIN checked off the heels of GLENOIT on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in WHITE MARLIN shifting out bumping TAYTO, who fell causing interference to ASHLEY BELLE. ASHLEY BELLE and MASTER CODY bumped heavily on the turn into the front straight resulting in interference to MASTER CODY.
The greyhound TAYTO was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Carleton that the greyhound
ASHLEY BELLE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28
days + satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m
Even start. CABARET TONIGHT was tightened for racing room shortly after the start. GEORGE GALLON shifted out in the front straight bumping CAP GUN, causing that greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground. GEORGE GALLON continued to shift out checking MAGIC IT UP who also lost ground. PEPPER PRINCESS and CURIOUS STYLE bumped towards the end of the front straight. FEAR THE RECALL checked off the heels of PEPPER PRINCESS as the field left the front straight on the 1st occasion, resulting in PEPPER PRINCESS being severely checked and falling and taking no further part in the race. MAGIC IT UP and FEAR THE RECALL bumped on the turn out of the front straight. CABARET TONIGHT checked off the heels of CURIOUS STYLE and lost some ground on the turn into the back straight. GEORGE GALLON and CAP GUN raced wide in the back straight. CAP GUN checked off the heels of FEAR THE RECALL just prior to the finish line.
The greyhound PEPPER PRINCESS was vetted and
found to have suffered an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a
period of 3 months.
