GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Novice 520m

Even start with FABULOUS LENY slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight on the 1st occasion AVID LAD and VELOCITY MYSTIC collided causing VELOCITY MYSTIC to falter and take no further competitive part in the event.  On the turn out of the home straight FABULOUS LENY checked off the heels of CAN OF SPRITE causing FABULOUS LENY to drop back sharply.  In the back straight TIJUANA TEMPO was wide.  In the home straight AVID LAD was wide.

 

The greyhound VELOCITY MYSTIC was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Novice 520m

BLUE POINTER and MIDNIGHT BLISS were best to begin with BATTY LOVES BEER and ARABELLA slowly away.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion THORPIE checked off the heels of BLUE POINTER causing THORPIE to drop back sharply.  On the turn out of the home straight MIDNIGHT BLISS checked off the heels of BLITZ ‘EM with BOGIE BEKIM wide.  Entering the back straight BATTY LOVES BEER and BLITZ ‘EM collided.  In the back straight BOGIE BEKIM was wide.  In the home straight MIDNIGHT BLISS and BOGIE BEKIM were wide.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 520m

Even start.  Soon after the start MACIE’S DINGO and SUPER SOOK collided causing MACIE’S DINGO to drop back sharply.  Entering the back straight SUPER SOOK and SHYAN YAHOO were racing tight and bumping.  Entering the home turn SHYAN YAHOO checked off the heels of BLUE TARTAN causing SHYAN YAHOO to check FLASH HOUDINI and SUPER SOOK.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 520m

COUTA MODEL was best to begin with GUN LEGACY slowly away.  Soon after the start GUN LEGACY shifted out checking VEGAS BOUND causing VEGAS BOUND to drop back.  Entering the turn out of the home straight TRAV’S MAGIC checked off the heels of COUTA MODEL causing COUTA MODEL to falter checking OREO DELIGHT and AZARIAH.  On the turn out of the home straight HOPPING HOUDINI checked off the heels of COUTA MODEL causing COUTA MODEL to check VEGAS BOUND.  In the back straight GUN LEGACY was wide.  In the home straight VEGAS BOUND was wide.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 520m

VEUVE was best to begin with FAR FROM FEAR slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight COLD HARD TRUTH shifted out checking WAIKARIE WARRIOR causing WAIKARIE WARRIOR to drop to the rear.  In the back straight COLD HARD TRUTH was wide.  Entering the top turn HOUINDEED and BULL TITAN collided.  In the home straight COLD HARD TRUTH was wide.

 

The greyhound UP THE ATTITUDE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Trainer advised stewards that the greyhound like to lead and the hot weather has knocked the greyhound around.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 600m

Even start.  Entering the home straight on the 1st occasion CIGAR SAM shifted out checking GENERAL CLOUD and FAST AS causing GENERAL CLOUD and FAST AS to run wide into the home straight.  Entering the turn out of the home straight GENERAL CLOUD checked off the heels of MINNIE IMPACT.  On the turn out of the home straight CIGAR SAM and MINNIE IMPACT collided.  In the back straight GENERAL CLOUD was wide.  In the home straight ALPHA ADONIS was wide.

 

Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 520m

SPRING BONANZA and BUTCHULLA BOY were best to begin with VICTORY PRINCE slowly away.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion IONA CHAMPION and MADE THAT WAY collided.  On the turn out of the home straight VICTORY PRINCE was wide.  Entering the back straight ABBY’S MAGIC checked off the heels of SPRING BONANZA.  In the back straight MPINGO was wide.  In the home straight MPINGO and VICTORY PRINCE were wide.

 

Race 8 – Clem Jones Final 600m

Even start with CYNDIE’S MAGIC and NORM THE STORM slowly away.  Entering the turn into the home straight on the 1st occasion SMASHNIAK GOLD and OXLEY RUBEY collided.  In the home and back straights HOUGENIE was wide.  In the home straight HOUGENIE turned its head inwards and made contact with MAGIC MAIDEN.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Ruetschi that the greyhound HOUGENIE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 600m all tracks.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m

MASTER CORSAIR was best to begin with PEBBLE BAY slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight LORRY DRYVA and MESSIDONNA CLOUD collided causing MESSIDONNA CLOUD to check IMA COWBOY forcing IMA COWBOY and PEBBLE BAY wide on the turn.  Entering the back straight MASTER CORSAIR checked off the heels of LORRY DRYVA causing MASTER CORSAIR to check MESSIDONNA CLOUD.  In the back straight IMA COWBOY was wide.  In the home straight PEBBLE BAY was wide.

 

The greyhound MASTER CORSAIR was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m

GREAT KNOCK THAT was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Soon after the start RUSTY’S IMAGE and CLASSY BARCY collided causing CLASSY BARCY to check JIMARY VIXEN.  Entering the back straight WESTERN DAVE and RUSTY’S IMAGE were racing tight and bumping.  In the back straight MISS JACKPOT was wide.  In the home straight RUSTY’S IMAGE was very wide.
