Race 1 - LADBROKES MATES MODE POTS MDNPW 395m

 

1. Chardonnay Girl – Very slow to begin, leaving the 1st turn checked across heels. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 2 - LADBROKES SAME RACE MULTI MAIDEN 395m

 

1. Nick’s Choice – Shortly after the start turned it head outwards a short distance later turned its outwards taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer N Evans regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event; after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Evans, stewards deemed the greyhound had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Nick’s Choice was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

 

10. Kalina Pearl – Into the back turn was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no injuries however the greyhound may have a vision impairment in its nearside eye. Trainer M Westwood was advised the greyhound must successfully complete a steward’s trial prior to racing next GAR 129 and to seek further veterinary advice regarding the greyhound’s sight.

 

 

 

Race 3 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 395m $

 

10. Mary Poppins – Into the 1st turn shifted out and was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 4 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE GRADE 6 395m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 5 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 5 (1) 395m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 6 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (2) 395m

 

5. Blushing Queen – Near the finish faltered in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside stifle . A 90 day stand down was imposed. Trainer M Westwood was advised the greyhound must successfully complete a steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

 

 

Race 7 - QLDGREYS.COM MIXED 4/5 395m

 

8. Destini Ignazio – Into the 1st turn was checked, in the back straight put in an awkward stride, through the back turn looked awkward its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside pin. A 14 day stand down was imposed

 

 

 

Race 8 - GORSKI ENGINEERING 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 395m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 9 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB GRADE 5 (3) 395m

 

4. Taste Like Honey – Slow to begin, approaching the back turn was tightened and took the turn wide. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hind foot webbing. A 10 day stand down was imposed

 

 

 

Race 10 - ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MA5 395m

 

No racing incidents of concern.
