GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 460m

First out of the boxes was STILTON WARRIOR followed closely by the remainder of the field.  Last away from the boxes was PANDALLI.  The field was tight after the jump with PANDALLI running clear from the rest of the field.  At the catching pen STILTON WARRIOR led the field followed by WILBY SWEET and TIA MARIA. The race order stayed this way until WILBY SWEET moved into the lead at the home corner.  At the 550 boxes STILTON WARRIOR took the lead from WILBY SWEET followed by TIA MARIA. The whole field ran wide in the home straight.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Smith that the greyhound PANDALLI would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 460m all tracks prior to nominating.

 

Race 2 – Novice 460m

It was an even start to the race with MERLIN’S SPRINT, MISS KARA, PEEWEE JEANETTE tight after the start.  Last away was ONSEN. At the first corner OBLIVION, NARCO STORM, ONSEN and WILBY WAGS checked.  MISS KARA took the lead at the catching pen followed closely by MERLIN’S SPRINT, PEEWEE JEANETTE and BEST BAR NONE.  The race leader stayed in front until the home corner when BEST BAR NONE took the lead. In the home straight MERLIN’S SPRINT ran wide.

 

Race 3 – Novice 460m

First away from the boxes was BOBBY BACON.  Last away were OUR MONEY MAKER and WILBY HOT.  It was a clean start to the race.  At the first corner OUR MONEY MAKER, TOKATEE KAHN, WILBY HOT and CAMBLA MISFIT were tight.  BOBBY BACON took the lead at the catching pen gate followed by DAPPER FLASH and CAMBLA MISFIT.  At the 720 boxes the race order was BOBBY BACON followed by DAPPER FLASH and SUPERSONIC SHAK.  Once the greyhounds reached the 550m boxes the race order was BOBBY BACON followed by DAPPER FLASH and then TOKATEE KAHN.  In the home straight SUPERSONIC SHAK and OUR MONEY MAKER ran wide.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. A Johnson that the greyhound MEERVIC would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 460m all tracks prior to nominating.

 

Race 4 – 0 – 3 Wins 550m

Even start to the race with WANT A DROP the last greyhound away.  After the start SPOT THE DOT, ZERO INTEREST and LUKAKU were tight.  SLASHIN PETE led the field at the 460 boxes followed by LUKAKU and ZERO INTEREST.  In the first corner ZERO INTEREST, WANT A DROP and KATE LANEFIELD ran wide.  SLASHIN PETE led the race from the beginning to the finish.  In the home straight KATE LANEFIELD and ZERO INTEREST checked. WANT A DROP and SPOT THE DOT ran wide in the home straight.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. C Gear that the greyhound ZERO INTEREST would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 550m all tracks.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. T Lowe that the greyhound KATE LANEFIELD would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 550m all tracks prior to nominating.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 460m

It was an even start to the race with EL MUFASA being the last one out of the boxes.  Clear run after the jump.  At the first corner the whole field was tight.  JULIE BENZ led the way at the catching pens followed by RYAN’S GIFT and JET BLACK OPAL.  The race order changed in the back straight with JULIE BENZ followed closely by RYAN’S GIFT and HAVOC AND MAYHEM.  In the home straight EL MUFASA ran wide.  The race order in the home straight was JULIE BENZ leading RYAN’S GIFT and MISS WORLDWIDE.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 460m

GYMPIE GOLD and LEDARO CLAGNEY were first out of the boxes.  It was a clear start to the race.  At the first corner LEDARO CLAGNEY, BRAGA BAINE, SIR ANGELO and TRUE MAGIC were tight. GYMPIE GOLD took the lead at the catching pen leading SIR ANGELO, LETS STOP TIME and BOGIE RAIDER.  At the 720m boxes the race positions changed when SIR ANGELO took the lead followed by GYMPIE GOLD and BOGIE RAIDER.  TRUE MAGIC ran wide into the home straight.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 460m

ZIVA ZAFONIC and CAMBLA ROSE were the first away with AUMININATOR the last out of the boxes.  After the jump the field was tight.  At the first corner MADE TO DANCE, LOOKING AMAZING, ALUMINATOR were tight.  PRINCESS MADDAM dropped to the back of the field. In the back straight CAMBLA ROSE led the pack followed by USAIN BUZZA and BELLA BOO BOO.  In the home corner the field order changed with MADE TO DANCE taking the lead closely followed by ZIVA ZAFONIC and ALUMINATOR.  ALUMINATOR stumbled and fell in the home corner and ran wide. USAIN BUZZA led in the home straight with CAMBLA ROSE and LOOKING AMAZING following closely behind.

 

The greyhound PRINCESS MADDAM was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 60 days.

 

The greyhound ALUMINATOR was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 460m

Even start with MONSIEUR CAMBLA, MALLOURY QUEEN and AGENT JAY first out of the boxes.  TAYLA’S SHOT was last away.  It was clear after the jump.  In the first corner MONSIEUR CAMBLA, MALLOURY QUEEN and AGENT JAY were tight.  MALLOURY QUEEN led the field at the catching pen followed by MONSIEUR CAMBLA and TAYLA SHOT.  The field order changed slightly throughout the race with MALLOURY QUEEN, MONSIEUR CAMBLA and MAUREEN’S MAGIC remaining in their positions for the remainder of the race.  MALLOURY QUEEN and MONSIEUR CAMBLA ran wide into the home straight.
