The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 2                         BLUE MAGIC BOY             Injured in running, off side hock, humanely euthanised

Race 5                         GYMPIE GOLD                    Injured in running, off hind toe, 60 days

Race 6             JUST A SHOW                      Injured in running, off hind back muscle, 21 days

 

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 460m

First away was IMA RIPPER, last away was PENNIES FANTASY.  TIA MARIA and PENNIES FANTASY raced tight after the jump.  BRILLIANT EMMA and BRAGA BEAR raced tight at the first corner.  COMING IN HOT raced wide down the back straight.  BRAGA BEAR started dropping back through the field from the back corner onwards.  COMING IN HOT and particularly TIA MARIA raced wide at the home corner.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 460m

SISSY LE HEY was clearly last away by a noticeable margin.  At the first corner BLUE MAGIC BOY came across onto CARFREA, bumping it a few times, then appeared to lose stride and drop out.  CARFREA raced wide past the catching pen.  ALL ABOUT HOPE raced wide down the back straight.

 

Race 3 – Novice 460m

An even start.  MISS MITANNI and DAPPER FLASH raced tight at the first corner, also MERLINS SPRINT came off the rail to try and go around the leaders which caused it to stumble and go slightly sideways.  Down the back straight INTOLERANT checked off the back of MISS KARA and lost significant ground.  ONSEN raced wide into the home corner and also down the home straight.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 460m

First away was MALUCKY MISS.  Last away was LEADARO CAGNEY. BEST BAR NONE appeared to get squeezed out and lost ground.  SPRING ONYX raced wide down the back straight and started dropping out by the back corner.  BEST BAR NONE raced slightly wide down the home straight.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 460m

First away was GYMPIE FLYER.  The field were tight after the jump.  HAVOC AND MAYHEM, OBLIVION and LOOKING AMAZING were very tight into the first corner, being checked in the process.  Racing down the back straight BOGIE RAIDER ran onto the back of GYMPIE GOLD and almost dragged it down, causing it to lose considerable ground.  HAVOC AND MAYHEM raced wide past the 720m boxes.  WILBY MAGIC raced wide at the back corner into and including the home corner.

 

GYMPIE GOLD was vetted and found to have sustained a toe injury 60 days.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade 550m

First away was HE’S A HUNTER.  At the first corner WILBY DUSTY checked into LUKAKU who in turn checked into SLASHIN PETE who then collided very heavily into JUST A SHOW, who then fell and didn’t take no further part in the race.  SLASHIN PETE raced wide down the back straight and also raced wide into the home corner.

 

No 6 Just a show- Vetted muscle Injury 21 days

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 460m

An even start.  LORENZOS GOLD and MADE TO DANCE raced tight after the jump.  OUTLAW CHARLIE raced wide past the catching pen.  The field was strung out by the back corner.  SIR ANGELO and OUTLAW CHARLIE raced tight at the home corner and checked on a couple of occasions racing down the home straight.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 460m

An even start. MONSIEUR CAMBLA was tightened for room at the first corner, as was WILBY MIGHTY shortly after. WILBY SPECIAL continued racing wide past the catching pen. Down the back straight WILBY MIGHTY tried to run through a gap between MONSIEUR CAMBLA and WILBY SPECIAL but tripped instead and fell. The field was well strung out by the home corner.
