The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 460m

First out was WALLON SMARTIE.  PRINCE RASCAL and COS SHE CAN raced tight coming into the first corner.  GO HOARDY and AIR CANNON were tight at the first corner.  The field was well strung out by the back corner.

 

AIR CANNON was vetted at the completion of the race, and was found to have a cardio vascular problem. 10 days.

 

Race 2 – Novice 460m

First away was OCCY CUT BACK, CAMBLA MISFIT was slowly away.  SISSEY LE HEY and RED GUN raced tight after the jump.  READY TO WIN and OCCY CUT BACK raced tight at the first corner.  READY TO WIN raced wide down the back straight.  SISSY LE HEY and POP THE HOOD raced wide at the home corner and down the home straight.

 

Race 3 – 4/5th Grade 550m

SPRING FIRECHIEF was clearly first away and never headed thereafter.  TOPPER WEBB and SKETCHY AMY were tight coming into the first corner.  LOOKING AMAZING and DAINTY LASS come together at the first corner, then checked onto REMO DANCER, causing all three greyhounds to lose ground.  SPRING FIRECHIEF was well clear by the back straight.  DAINTY LASS and SKETCHY AMY went wide at the home corner and down the home straight.

 

Race 4 – 3/4th Grade 460m

After the jump RUBY DUTCHESS came across the field and checked TEJAYS GRAND.  KOUKLA MOO and BOGIE RAIDER raced tight at the first corner, with BOGIE RAIDER getting checked to the rear of the field.  KOUKLA MOO went wide at the home corner and down the home straight.  RUBY DUTCHESS also went wide down the home straight.

 

Race 5 – 4/5th Grade 460 m

LORENZOS GOLD was first away, TAYLA SHOT was clearly last.  ROMANA PRINCESS and GOES LIKE EL raced tight at the first corner.  GOES LIKE EL raced wide past the catching pen.  The field was strung out by the home corner with the exception of the two leaders.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 460m

First away was ACKA DACKA, last out was CRACKERS.  WILBY SEET and SPOT THE DOT raced tight coming into the first corner.  MALUCKY MISS and WILBY sweet raced tight through the first corner.  CRACKERS stumbled approaching the first corner.  SPOT THE DOT raced wide down the back straight.  MALUCKY MISS and WILBY SWEET raced tight through the home corner.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 460m

An even start.  AGENT JAY and ROCKET TRACY raced tight coming into the first corner, with PUB STAR coming together with those two greyhounds through the first corner causing AGENT JAY to get checked to the rear.  SPRING BLITZ raced wide down the back straight and ran onto the rear of PUB STAR near the back corner.

 

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade 460m

First away was JULIE BENZ, last out was ELITE DESSA.  CALL YA BACK, ELITE DESSA and RADLEYS JACKPOT raced tight after the jump.  At the first corner FOXY IN BLUE checked off REDNECK BOYD back onto ELITE DESSA who in turn checked RADLEYS JACKPOT.  Racing past the catching pen, JULIE BENZ who was leading, shortened stride and failed to finish the race.  The field was strung out approaching the home corner. CAMBLA LOVER raced wide down the home straight.

 

JULIE BENZ was vetted at the completion of the race and was found to have broken its hock and was humanely euthanised.
