The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

Race 1 – Maiden 460m

First away was MAYWYNS ELECT, last out was SAND BAR BABY. LOWANNA, THURRUNGO and PURE LEE RED raced tight coming into the first corner, with THURRUNGO getting squeezed in the middle and the other greyhounds almost falling when they come together. BEETOWN OSCAR and GALWAY LIGHTNING were also tight with the latter getting checked on a couple of occasions. Approaching the finish line THURRUNGO ran onto the back of the eventual winner MAYWYNS ELECT, when blocked for a run.

GALWAY LIGHTNING was vetted at the completion of the race, and was found to have not sustained an injury.

Race 2 – Novice 460m

An even start. At the first corner the field raced tight with the exception of the leader BOB THE PAPERBOY. BILLS FLASH was checked. OUR ELITE and BILLS FLASH raced wide past the catching pen. SISSEY LE HEY and OUR ELITE raced tight through the back straight with SISSY LE HEY stumbling on one occasion. BELLA CRUSADER and SISSEY LE HEY raced wide down the home straight.

Race 3 – 5^th Grade 460m

First away was PENNIES FANTASY. TAIL IT UP was clearly last away. At the first corner BEST BAR NONE and BOGIE RAIDER raced tight, FARMOR DAYS stumbled. FARMOR DAYS raced wide past the catching pen. At the home corner BEST BAR NONE come off the rails and contacted MADE TO DANCE heavily, causing both greyhounds to lose momentum and race wide for the remainder of the race.

BEST BAR NONE was vetted at the completion of the race and was found to not sustained an injury.

Race 4 – 5^th Grade 460m

An even start. At the first corner RADLEYS JACKPOT and RAMBO ROCK raced tight. Approaching the back corner WILBY SWEET was blocked for a run. RAMBO ROCK and SHES SO CLASSY both raced wide down the home straight.

Race 5 – 5^th Grade 460m

First away was MERLINS SPRINT. Clearly last out was MISS MITANNI. ACKA DACKA and MERLINS SPRINT raced tight at the first corner. MERLINS PRINT raced wide down the home straight. Approaching the back corner, and until the home corner. MISS MITANNI was blocked for a run behind GYMPIE FLYER on multiple occasions.

Race 6 –RQ 1000 Final 460m

NOT TODAY MATE was clearly first away and was never headed thereafter. The field was tight approaching the first corner with the entire field apart from NOT TODAY MATE and CE DETERMINATION, coming together and checking, with SAND BAR BABY and COS SHE CAN coming out the worse as a result. NOT TODAY MATE was well clear by the back straight and the rest of the field well spread out. JETT CLASS was caught behind CE DETERMINATION approaching the back corner and couldn’t manage to get past that greyhound until the home straight.

Race 7 – 550m 4/5 Grade

First out was BELLA BOO BOO, last away was SLASHIN PETE . ALL ABOUT HOPE, SLASHIN PETE and REMO DANCER were tight and went wide at the first corner. REMO DANCER come off the rail and made contact with ALL ABOUT HOPE, at the start of the home straight.

Race 8 – 3/4^th Grade 460m

First away was MAKE THE SWITCH, Last out was KOUKLA MOO. HAVOC AND MAYHAM and LOOKING AMAZING raced tight after the jump and through the first corner. RUBY DUTCHESS checked off the back of CRAZY JAS racing down the back straight. KOUKLA MOO went wide at the home corner.

CRAZY JAS was vetted at the completion of the race and was found to have sustained a major leg injury and was subsequently humanely euthanised.
