VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS

                                                                                            

The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

Race 1 – Maiden – 410m

EBONY SPECIAL was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  HOT BUBBLES checked off MR. REX shortly after the start.  WALLABY JACK checked off MR. REX on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to HOT BUBBLES.

 

Race 2 – Maiden – 410m

WALLEN JOE was slow to begin.  AMULETTE lost ground sharply in the back straight appearing injured.  AMULETTE failed to finish the race.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed a fractured off hind hock.  FLINSTONE KID raced wide into the front straight.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade – 410m

General tightening occurred on the turn into the back straight resulting in MISS KRYPTONITE being checked and SENOR AL and ELLY NORA falling.  Both greyhounds were inspected by the veterinarian who reported no abnormalities to either greyhound.  MISS KRYPTONITE and ZELINKA raced wide in the front straight.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade – 410m

BLING ADING was slow into stride as the start was effected.  WILDASH PLUMBOB checked off THIRTEEN TWO ONE on the turn into the back straight.  BLING ADING bumped THIRTEEN TWO ONE bumped heavily after turning out of the back straight resulting in THIRTEEN TWO ONE falling. A veterinary inspection of THIRTEEN TWO ONE revealed a laceration of an artery in the shoulder.

 

Race 5 – Open – 544m

DUEL ‘EM UP and CHECK THE WING bumped shortly after the start and continued to bump in the front straight.  DUEL ‘EM UP and CHECK THE WING bumped on the turn out of the front straight.  DUEL ‘EM UP and CASH FOR COVER bumped heavily after turning out of the front straight.

 

Race 6 – Open – 544m

RICHTER SCALE raced wide out of the front straight to the turn into the back straight.

 

Race 7 – 3/ 4 Grade – 410m

SNAKE PROOF checked off WILDASH MONTE on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to BREAKER BAR.  SNAKE PROOF raced wide in the front straight.
