straight. At the top turn MR.
CRUSTACEAN shifted in checking the running of RHONDA JOAN. FLINTSTONE
KID and COSMIC LAMP both raced wide through the top turn. On
straightening RHONDA JOAN improved to the inside of TEAM TOKALON and shortly
after turned its head out towards TEAM TOKALON making muzzle contact and marring
the running of that greyhound.
A
post-race veterinary examination of the greyhound RHONDA JOAN revealed no
abnormalities.
Trainer’s
representative Mr. S Essery was advised that the
greyhound RHONDA JOAN would be charged under the provisions of GAR 69 Marring,
1st offence and would be stood down from racing for a period of 28

were severely checked and lost significant ground. PURE BEKIM raced wide
through the top turn.
A
post-race veterinary examination of the greyhound RHONDA’S TEARS revealed no
abnormalities.
Race
4 – 5th Grade – 410m
WILDASH
PLUMBOB and FLASH FAYE both began well. TOKALON HOTSHOT lost ground when
tightened for running soon after the start. Entering the back straight FLASH
FAYE, when in clear running, faltered in its action and lost momentum, taking
no further competitive part in the event. FULL THROTTLE raced wide through the
top turn.
A
post-race veterinary examination revealed that the greyhound FLASH FAYE had
sustained an injury to the off side hock. Trainer Mr. R Lound was advised that FLASH FAYE would be stood down from
racing for a period of 28 days.
Race
5 – 5th Grade – 410m

improved onto the heels of SINDARYN. Both greyhounds were severely checked as a
result. SHAKE YOUR BOOTY which was following was forced wide.
Race
8 – FFA Open Final – 544m
Stewards
delayed the “All Clear” on this event in order to view the patrol footage of the
start. On viewing the footage it was evident that the boxes had been activated
manually by the starter after failing to open automatically. Further, Stewards
could not be satisfied that the lure was the regulation distance from the boxes
when the lids were raised, or that all runners had jumped on equal terms.
Consequently, Stewards, acting under the provisions of GAR56, declared the event
a “No Race” as all runners had completed
a full circuit of the track. Stewards ordered that all bets placed on this event
be refunded in full.
