The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

Race 1 – Maiden 410m

ONE FOOT BEHIND was the best to begin. MAGIC WISP was slow to begin. WALLABY JACK checked off ONE FOOT BEHIND and lost ground shortly after the start resulting in interference to MAGIC CHAOS. ELUSIVE DIVA, SHOTGUN LADY, TEAM TOKALON and CALL ME CHARLES raced tight into the back straight resulting in CALL ME CHARLES becoming unbalanced and TEAM TOKALON and SHOTGUN LADY losing considerable ground. CALL ME CHARLES shifted out in the home straight forcing MAGIC WISP and WALLABY JACK wide.

Race 2 – Novice 410m

EBONY SPECIAL was the best to begin. MAGIC BEAU checked across the heels of COBBIN entering the back straight. EBONY SPECIAL checked off MAYWYN OODLES and lost ground on the turn into the front straight. FREDRIK suffered interference in the front straight from MAYWYN OODLES.

Stewards questioned the racing manners of MAYWYN OODLES in particular the front straight. Subsequently acting under the provisions of GAR69 MAYWYN OODLES was stood down from racing for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for marring.

Race 3 – 5^th Grade 410m

BEACH FRONT was the best to begin. LEE LARNI checked off BEACH FRONT and lost ground in the back straight. GREYSTOKE BOY checked across the heels of DEBORAH ROSE in the home straight.

Race 4 – 4/5^th Grade 410m

Even Start with COLLARINA slow to begin. TOKALON HOTSHOT checked off SCARLETT’S DEVIL and lost ground prior to turning into the back straight. VAPOUR FLIGHT checked off SCARLETT’S DEVIL and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. TOKALON HOTSHOT checked off COLLARINA and lost considerable ground entering the back straight. ON DECK checked off the heels of SCARLETT’S DEVIL on the turn into the front straight. VAPOUR FLIGHT raced wide in the home straight.

Race 5 – 5^th Grade 410m

Even start with KENNY’S AROMA slow to begin. GREAT TRIUMPH was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. TOPPING lost ground in the back straight for no apparent reason. A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed no abnormalities. GREAT TRIUMPH checked off the heels of TOPPING approaching the turn out of the back straight. KENNY’S AROMA raced wide in the home straight.

Race 6 – 4/5^th Grade 410m

Even start with PURE BEKIM slow to begin. BLUE STITCH checked off the heels of CAPTAIN LONESTAR on the turn into the back straight causing BLUE STITCH to become unbalanced and shift out resulting in interference to ETOPIA, STARZAR GOLD, JUSTA BEAUTY and SUPERMAC. JUSTA BEAUTY and ETOPIA bumped in the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

Race 7 – Open 544m

The starting boxes failed to open on the first occasion. All starters were removed from the boxes and checked by the veterinarian. All greyhounds were passed fit to start. A start was effected on the second occasion.

LITTLE TRISH and MISS DENMARK bumped as the start was effected. ODD SOX crossed towards the fence as the start was effected bumping ZAMBEZI ROCK causing interference to LISTEN. ASA EXTREME and MINGELA COSMO bumped in the front straight on the first occasion. LITTLE TRISH shifted out on the turn out of the front straight bumping heavily into ASA EXTREME resulting in interference to MISS DENMARK and ODD SOX. LISTEN and MISS DENMARK raced wide in the home straight.

Race 8 – Open 544m

Even start. COOL SPRITE shifted in as the start was effected bumping COSMIC LAMP who lost ground. COOL SPRITE continued to shift in bumping KNOCK THE TOP who lost ground. YOGI BLUE shifted in in the front straight on the first occasion tightening COOL SPRITE on to SELFIE on to SNAKE PROOF resulting in the four greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground. SELFIE checked off COOL SPRITE and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight. COSMIC LAMP and SNAKE PROOF raced wide in the home straight.
