The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 3             WILDASH PLUMBOB        Injured in running, off side hip support, 10 days

Race 1             RAININ’ THUNDER                        Injured in running, near fore toe, 10 days

Race 6             FOUR PAWZA POWER      Injured in running, off side wrist, 10 days

 

GENERAL

Race 1 – Maiden 410m

BELLA MARLO was the best to begin.  RAININ’ THUNDER was slow to begin.  LUSIMA checked off BELLA MARLO and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  RAININ’ THUNDER lost ground in the back straight and tailed off to finish a distant last.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed a near fore toe injury.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 410m

WILDASH DIDDY was the best to begin.  TRICKY CAPERS shifted out across the heels of WILDASH DIDDY and RHONDA’S DYNO as the start was effected.  PUNGUSHI raced wide into the home straight.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 410m

HUBRISTIC was the best to begin.  WILDASH REV was slow to begin.  HUBRISTIC, NASRI and CALL ME CHARLES bumped on the turn into the back straight.  WILDASH REV checked off WILDASH WHISPER and lost ground entering the back straight.  WILDASH PLUMBOB lost ground in the back straight.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed an off hip injury.  CALL ME CHARLES raced very wide in the home straight.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 410m

SUPER STORM was the best to begin.  SLASHIN’ PETE checked off LEE LARNI and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  Shortly after WILDASH DUKE checked off LEE LARNI and lost ground.  SLASHIN’ PETE raced on to the heels of LEE LARNI in the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.

 

Race 5 – 4th Grade 410m

WILDASH WILDFIRE was the best to begin.  SMART CHIC checked off the heels of STARZAR GOLD in the back straight.  SMART CHIC checked off MAKE THE SWITCH and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  THANK YOU POP checked off the heels of SMART CHIC on the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 6 – Best 8 410m

FEARS THE WORD was the best to begin.  FOUR PAWZA POWER was marginally slow to begin.  SELFIE was slow to begin.  MALIAN REIGN checked off GOT IT WRONG and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  GOT IT WRONG checked across the heels of FEARS THE WORD in the front straight.  FOUR PAWZA POWER was inspected by the veterinarian after the race who reported an off wrist sprain.
